Charlie and his whole team were great! We have a pretty steep room and the AC maintenence guys kept slipping on the roof and couldn't service the AC. I called and talked to Charlie he was out the next day and inspected the roof with a drone to play it safe. He also checked things out from the ground. He found some areas of concern in addition. He got me a quote within a day which included a complete roof including back porch. The quote was so good we said yez the same day. Besides the entire remove and replacing all the shingles they also replaced some wood on the back porch that was rotted including one post and some of the eaves. They less than a week later and ended up coming a day early and finished the day before a monsoon. I have gotten several positive comments from neighbors. The AC guys were able to come out and not slip! One great part was that even though some of the workers didnt speak great English, there we'd always a lead that was bilingual. Very nice to work with. Charlie & his employees are awesome! We had a tile that fell from the front part of our RV garage and contacted several contractors and S & R Roofing came to the rescue. The manager, Brian, came out to repair/replace the tiles that needed attention and noticed that when our solar panels were installed via Sun Run, the contractors did not properly place the tiles. This is a 5+ Star review! To start with, Charlie is a great guy to work with and has outstanding customer orientation traits. When my roof was damaged due to recent monsoon storms, I started calling around looking for estimates and since I had some water leaking into my garage I had a sense of urgency. I called several highly rated local roofers plus some guys that had been referred to me locally, but I S&R roofing (and Charlie specifically) had some great reviews on NextDoor. I called Charlie for an estimate and he answered his phone - even on vacation out of town. He said he'd have someone drop by the next day. Leo came out and estimated a repair fix and a new roof (other than new tiles). Once he completed his measurements and a walk of the roof, Leo, very thoroughly, explained what he would do to fix my roof but recommended I replace the underlayment since the felt I had was original and 20 years old. Leo pulled up random tiles and took pictures so I could see how bad a shape my roof was in. He then gave me the estimate on the spot. I did end up calling half a dozen other "Highly Rated" roofing companies and had several estimates at roughly the same $$$ value as S&R and most of them were several thousand dollars higher, but S&R differentiated themselves by the following: - Charlie and Leo were both very customer centric. - S&R proposal didn't ask for anything up front but only pay them the full amount AFTER the roof was completed and I was fully satisfied - S&R was the only proposal that pitched synthetic underlayment vs felt. FYI, Synthetic is BETTER than Felt UDL - Google it! - S&R proposal was all inclusive - including if I needed to replace any deckboards; replace my 8 outdated Dormier vents with 12 O'Hagen Low Profile vents (no extra costs); replace any and all cracked or damaged tile with no limit. - All the roof jacks and metal ribbing they replace was painted to match my house. - I had a patio section that had a flat roof that was also included. - They addressed my dead valley area with an improved solution to prevent future leaks into my garage. -15 year NO LEAK guarantee. Needless to say, I selected these guys, they had a crew ready to start work 2 days later, They started around 5:30 each morning and went until 3 and then cleaned up any mess at the end of every day. 4 days later, I have a new roof (that Charlie personally walked and pointed out anything that need to be improved). I can't say enough how pleased I am with Charlie, Leo, Victor and his crew. They are thorough, quality conscious, and very customer oriented all while being very competitive in their pricing. Don't buy into the sales pitch that the "Big Name Roofers" are selling. Let results and testimonials speak for themselves. My experience with S&R Roofing was excellent, from the initial contact to schedule an inspection to the completion of the work. Leo Saenz performed the inspection and headed the project. He and his team did an excellent job of installing a new underlayment, updating all sheet metal and replacing any broken roof tiles. Charlie, I am emailed multiple times a day with notifications of your edits to your reply to my review. This behavior is exactly what we asked to stop in our settlement with Tony. Everything I wrote is true. Maybe the work you did for us was a 1 off. But our review is accurate of our experience and we hope other consumers will get their work inspected and learn to ask the right questions and get everything in writing. Your personal behavior, emails, lies, unlicensed/ unpermitted work, and damages to our home are all facts. I can happily share all the documentation here if necessary. When the ROC receives a "review of work" and a formal complaint about the same job, the complaint trumps the review of work. That is the ROC's policy, not our policy. You finished the he job we contracted you for the first week of May, we gave you until August to fix the items in a roof inspection report and repair damages. You were unable to do those things. In fact we had agreed to everything and you missed the start date. We can share that email too. The one about why you forget things. I have attached pictures of the ROC's citations against your company. There are two reasons they were dropped. 1. We do not want your company working on our home ever again 2. Tony, the owner who holds the license for S&R, asked to met with us privately. In that meeting he agreed to cover the cost to fix all damages (totaled estimates from quotes he asked for 10,000+) and paid an additional $8000 to cover the unpermitted work you did that we now have to fix with the City of Phoenix. That's all true. Maybe to you it was a "payoff" to get rid of us. Fine, call it what you like. To us it was a settlement because Tony is honorable and agreed to pay for the repairs and he did not want to have a hearing with the ROC. If you continue to reply and update your replies we will see this as another form of harassment, like the private messages/emails and our next step with be to contact the local news and share our experience with them. read more

Excellent! It's hard to say that about most trade businesses in Arizona. But not S&R Roofing. The are EXCELLENT! We first used them 3 years ago and were so happy with their work that we contacted our neighbors and were able to help get them 5 other roofs. We have since moved.
