I contacted Lyons roofing for a client of mine. They came highly recommended and I was anxious to get the job going. They were 4 months out at the begining and that turned into 6 months. There were some unforseen issues that set the job back further. I was getting very frustrated ,but more so from a lack of communication at that point. After finally getting intouch with Abril our job was scheduled. I was contacted by Ron the project manager about what to expect. I met with Ron to walk the roof and he discussed items they would be finishing up and answered all my questions. He assured me I would get my 5 star roof. After all the waiting, that was what I expected. I met with Ron again today and the job was finished as expected. I would rate the communication when the job started and was completed as top notch. I realize that things happen beyond our control and that is unfortunate. We did get our 5 star roof and 5 star customer service. Lyons will need to return for a new window that needs to be installed and foamed in. I will look forward to another 5 star service from Lyons. My roof was replaced a year ago and every time there's a storm shingles blow off. Lyons state that it's not a workmanship issue therefore no warrantee from them. One of the service guys said they were having trouble with this brand of shingles and the manufacturer might pay under their warrantee. I never heard back from them and the repair cost me $750. Now it's happened again and they can't send a service guy out for 3 weeks and I will likely be charged for the repairs. Unaceptable. read more

I had my back roof replaced by lyons roofing 9.9 years ago. The company has changed hands since then. Two years ago (when it was under the new ownership, ) I asked them to come out because several shingles had come off and the back roof wasn't looking that good. I had told The person sending the appointment that lyons roofing had put in the back-roof. A person came out he said he was the son of the new owner. He looked it over and said that the whole roof needed to be replaced and that whoever did the back roof did a really bad job of it. That there was missing shingles, shingles, pulling up easily and fiberglass from the shingles showing through. He then handed me a quote for a whole new roof. When I told them they had done the back roof and that it was still under warranty. All he wanted to do was change the estimate for just the back roof. I explained that they had done the back roof and it was still under warranty and I wanted it fixed. He said he would set up a date for that. It took more well over six months of calling, leaving messages, emailing, etc., and they would always say they were going to put it on the schedule and they didn't come. Finally, when I threatened to contact the registrar of contractors and the Attorney journal's office they finally came out and replaced a few shingles that were missing. Please note that even though they gave me paperwork to show that they had been out it's not showing up in their computer now. At least that's what the person I talk to today said. Yes, the roof is still under warranty, but this work should've been done two years ago when they first noticed it. And they can't come out at all this week to look at the roof. I have had other roofers up on the roof and in the attic and yes, the back roof is much worse than the front roof which was actually 10 to 15 years older than the back roof. With the way, I was treated two years ago regarding the warranty and the fact that I now have damage in my attic and leaking due to the back roof...there's no way I will have lyons roofing do any work on my roof! I don't trust them nor their work, nor do I trust their ability to treat their clients properly. The fact that they treat pre-existing clients as bad as they do and all the bad feedback that has shown up since the new ownership (there was a little to no bad feedback for the old owners), and even if I could get them to come out to honor the warranty it would likely only honor the materials, not the labor. And I certainly don't want that low quality of shingles back on my roof to only have to be replaced 8 to 10 years later. Beware of this company. Read the other feedback. We can't all be wrong. There may be some good feedback, but how many of those have had the roof enough time to know how well it's going to last. read more

We were given a quote of $2 million for a new roof on our 3000 square foot home, after my husband was told they have an amazing senior citizen discount. Clearly it was an error and sent without proofing. After corrected - it was still more than $10,000 more than the highest of the other quotes we obtained. The rep said it was because they do good work and everyone else doesn't. After many years in business ourselves, I always shy away from people who try to get my business by badmouthing others. Excellent roofing company! Reroofed a tile roof of about 3000 sq ft with patio while contending with several days of rain. They maintained water integrity at all times - no leaks throughout the process. Replaced wood sections with dry rot including facia board around patio as well as plywood underlay. Supervisor expended extra time to locate exact replacement tile for an old, obsolete brand to better blend the entire roof. Also used a decorative bird stop that matched the old tile design, which provides a nice end view of the tile from around the house. Supervisor kept homeowner fully informed on progress, unique features incorporated and when the team would be working, etc. The work team was well qualified to execute the job with independence and high quality work. The team worked quickly but never sacrificing overalll quality. I highly recommend this roofing company. read more

not happy with the quality of the of the workmanship the wind that we had two months ago blew one of my shingles completely off and some are lifting when he pulled on them, and when they installed the the roof one of the guys cut a piece of wood off the roof tossed it in the dumpster and backed up into the hole he just made falling through my ceiling crashing into my office destroying a project i have been working months on, now they want to charge me $425.00 to repair the shottie work still no happy with them. read more

Complaint filed the the ROC and City of Tucson Code enforcement. They left our childhood home in worse condition. They rebuilt the porch and left a 3 inch gap where it attaches to the house. The roof now leaks around the chimney and AC duct work. You can see light when it the attic. They served us with an notice to place a lean on the property before they made the necessary corrections. The contract was deficient, the ROC informed them it was lacking 6 requirements. It was deliberately vague to absolve them of responsibilities. It's been an unending nightmare from the start. The general manager came done from Phoenix so that we could point out their deficiencies. We are not roofers. He also told us "it's not that bad" repeatedly...you've done worse. Prior to his visit, the Tucson office was trying to tell us that the porch rebuild was cosmetic. They failed to replace all rotted wood. The fact that they failed to handle and dispose of asbestos tile properly and also left nails and asbestos tile in the yard is trivial compared to the disaster that's the roof they replaced. One flat tire to date. I think that my review is getting flagged or something because I can't find it posted. read more

We had a micro-burst or just a really big wind blow some of our tiles out of place. Service manager Matt R. came out and repaired it (not a big job), plus inspected the entire roof. He gave us a good idea of what kind of shape the roof is in. We recently moved into this house, so knowing the condition of the roof gives us some peace of mind. This people are not very professional ,mr Thomas Sichrovsky come to my house to give me an estimate on my roof and he supposed to email my husband and let him know how much , but because we only have a couple of tiles broken I think it wants enough for him, so we never receive an estimate from them not even a call to let us know that he was not interested in the job. My husband try to reach him and live a message to him but he never call him back. I bet if he have to replace all the roof he would be begging to us for the job . Lyons did such a great job on my roof last month! I did have to wait several months due to tile supply delays, but wow, they stuck to their original estimate despite every one of my plywood boards being rotten. My place was built in the mid-seventies and these must have been the original boards. I saw the decay in photos and on the conveyer belt going into the dumpster they brought. They also cleaned up everything after each days work and even returned the next week to add some elevation to my flat roof to facilitate better drainage & prevent pooling. They also went over maintenance in detail & the circumstances wherein the roof would need a courtesy check for damage, ie, if I get solar panels, a new antennae, or anytime someone walks on the flat foam portion, which could cause an indention leading to pooling. I'm so pleased with Lyon's and highly recommend them!!! read more

My mother hired Lyons in 2018 to replace a failing flat roof with foam. During the review, our PM recommended a complete tear off and it was included as part of the contract she signed. In 2023, I had the roof inspected prior to selling the home after my mother passed away. The roofer indicated that the roof was in poor shape and that the old (modified bitumen) roof could be seen indicating that Lyons had not torn off the original roof per our contract. I immediately contacted them and scheduled a service. * During the service call, Lyons agreed that the tear off was not completed. Instead of immediately scheduling the job to honor the original contract, they started arguing about why I had an independent evaluation (given the breach of contract, that should have been obvious) and the condition of the roof. They also argued and made excuses for not honoring the terms of the original contract. * I received a call from the service manager who also argued and made excuses. He finally agreed to escalate and I was contacted by a PM to write up a new proposal. He agreed to complete the work asap. * I waited about 8 weeks for a final proposal due to errors, despite sending the correct information via text early in the process. I could only leave messages at the call center and was forced to email the owners due to the misleading emails, excuses and overall lack of follow up/communication. * Scheduling took several more weeks of follow up. Initially they proposed I wait another 3 months for the job to be completed. I was forced to escalate, again, letting them know that the delay would financially impact the estate and that the work needed to be completed by end of February. The work was finally scheduled. * During the install, I had to escalate as the team had started to install the foam over the existing roof, AGAIN. * The area being replaced was exposed (carport and soffit) but I was never given a choice of OSB or Plywood. As it turns out, OSB peels/degrades and should not be used in areas where there it is exposed to moisture (like an exposed carport or soffit). While the breach of initial contract is disturbing, what's worse is the failure to make good when given the opportunity. Lyons managed to take a very straightforward issue and turn it into a difficult and negative experience. This information was shared with the owners without a response. I hope this helps others avoid having to go through what I did. read more

The great Monsoon of 2021 was too much for my rolled flat roof in Glendale, AZ. I enjoy waterfalls, but not in my living room. Lyon's roofing far exceeded our expectations in every category: sale process, work timeliness, organization, professionalism, communication, and end-product. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a high-quality roof without having to worry about whether the team doing the work can live up to the sales team's promises. Lyon's uses employees instead of sub-contractors (which surprisingly is rare in the industry) removing uncertainty in skill and end-product from the equation. This is critical. It is worth quite the premium, but in comparing quotes, they came in very competitively priced. They are the no-brainer decision for anyone looking for a new roof in the valley. Additionally, the sales process in the beginning was extremely refined and low-pressure. I did not feel like I was being pushed to make a decision more quickly then I was comfortable about. I was not told a price and then told that I had 12 hours to make a decision before prices increased. David LaNue approached the sale professionally and will great care and skill. This is a late review... Had Lyons out a couple of years ago for an estimate to fix a leak. To the company's credit, the estimator arrived on time and was cordial and courteous. I pointed out the area where the leak was, and without even going on the roof to investigate he said based on the age of the house I needed to repaper the entire roof at a cost of around $15K. He said the company doesn't like to do repairs because they end up "chasing leaks." On top of that, he said they were booked and wouldn't be available to do the work for at least 6 weeks. And if I decided to go with the work, I had to give him a $1500 deposit upfront to "hold" my appointment. (Even though he was unable to tell me when that appointment would be.) Like I said, this review is late. Things may have changed since my experience with them. But if you are interested in having your roof repaired (as opposed to repapered or replaced), you might want to ask these questions when you call to save some time: * I am only interested in a roof repair estimate. Do you do roof repairs? * Do you require a downpayment/deposit and if so how much? * How far out are you booking appointments? read more

We were not happy with the process of replacing the roof of our home in Tucson, AZ. They began on late March and took over a month to finish because of problems along the way. The crew assigned to us were very young, disorganized, and didn't speak one word of English (so we couldn't even ask them questions because they didn't understand). Supervision was minimal and when I called Heather (our supposed contact who took our money early on and said she was our contact) about our concerns she never called me back, ever. The young crew disappeared in the middle of our job and since there was no other crew available it was finished piecemeal by a person or two people who appeared without any information as to what was happening. We hope we got a good, long lasting roof out of this mess of a process, but not sure. If you use them I would ask for an experienced crew and use someone other than Heather as your office contact. read more

Whatever you do, find a different company! My husband and I paid a lot of money to have our foam roof redone. They did sub- par work and would not take responsibility for not having delivered on their promises (and contract). We had to get the Registrar of Contractors involved who mandated that they either fix the numerous problems or provide a refund. Prior to this, we were almost to the point of having to take legal action to hold them accountable. For a big company who does work for large corporations, they sure were bound and determined to "screw over the little guy". What a nightmare!! read more

Very pleased with installation, excellent repair or rebuild of wood decking and fascia (skilled carpenter). English speaker on site each day. Project Manager was outstanding- good communicator, took pride in work, creative solutions to challenges. Pleased with fixes to flashing and water drainage issues- but need hard rain to really evaluate ( was ok in light rain). Got two leaks in heavy rain that Lyons would not fix. They do not honor their warranty, and left me to fix the two issues myself. One leak at stand pipe, flashing underneath did not stop water from pooling in heavy rain. One leak at odd corner where water in valley hits wood border around window - I had added piece of aluminum to keep water off wood, Lyons would not seal edges and would not add additional flashing to keep water off fascia board. Very disappointing, you can do a lot better than this company. read more

DO YOUR RESEARCH! They gave me a 10 year warranty and after 5 years I showed some roof damage due to recent rains. They responded in a few days but the explanation for the damage was weak. You would think that a company with such a good reputation and reviews would pay more attention to their completed work. Unfortunately, this company chose to focus on getting the work done quickly without paying attention to details. So for us, after work was completed and paid for, we had a roof with the wrong size vent cap and mudball that were not noticed by the inspection team after work was completed. Replacement tile that we were told had to be ordered from a catalog (sight unseen) (and how good is the ability to judge color from a magazine) didn't actually match the color scheme. Instead of being a red or pinkish gray, the tile was brown - which is not acceptable to our HOA. And so because we didn't demand to see the tile comparison between old and new tile, and because we believed the sales person when told us "it would be the best match" we now have to pay someone to paint this tile. Also, when we took a look at the attic after the fact, it is in a complete shambles. It looks like a storm blew inside the attic. And, to add more to our plate, a home inspector next door to us just noticed recently that there's a missing roof tile on the front porch elevation, which he says will lead to a leaking roof if not replaced soon. So all of these reviews that say how great Lyons roofing is - my warning to you all is to have someone watch them closely, don't pay until you get up on the roof and walk through with a home roofing inspector. That way, because money talks folks, they will actually fix the problems they caused and not turn their backs on you after the fact. Better yet, maybe hire a better company to do the work - one that will actually stand by their work and not make excuses and abandon you. Shame on you Lyons Roofing. We paid Lyon's Roofing $1500 to repair our roof as it was leaking around the A/C unit and the skylights. It rained, the roof still leaked. Lyon's came out again, "repaired" their work; it rained, the roof leaked. We fought with them to again come out and perform the work we paid them to do. Finally, they again made repairs. It rained, the roof leaked. We now have extensive damage to our ceilings in three rooms. Do NOT use Lyon's Roofing. It is clear that their employees are not qualified to do the work they contract to do. read more

The work replacing our foam flat roof was completed well, but the workers also severely damaged the electrical conduit and wires routed to our two A/C units. The conduit was jostled and moved so harshly that one hot wire was nearly cut in half - and this created an arc and a small fire at one of the junction boxes. They also pulled apart conduit from another junction box without sealing it before spraying foam coatings. Lastly, at least three other conduit connections were ripped apart and taped before foaming. I was told by the crew supervisor that Lyons would stand by their mistake, only that didn't happen. The entire conduit routing was now unsafe and the electrician I hired said there was water in the conduits and boxes. I was without the use of one of my A/C units for days before the electrician could start repairs. When I submitted the electrician's invoice (paid it too), Lyons pushed me up to a production supervisor who basically said the contract I signed allows them to damage almost anything without any recourse by me. He did concede that only 20% reimbursement of the electrician cost would be allowed. Stay away from Lyons, I cannot recommend a company that won't stand by their dangerous mistakes. read more

I have a single story home with a complex tile roof and no solar panels. The patio roof it tar and gravel. Last year my 20 year old patio roof leaked. I received an estimate from Lyons and another from a no-name roofer. The price difference was almost 2:1 so I decided to go with the no-name roofer. It a small job so I figured worth the risk. I guess the roof will hold but the visible carpentry was awful and there was zero customer support and no guarantee. This year my main roof started to leak. Lesson learned - went with Lyons. Excellent estimator, excellent foreman with world class customer support. Workers were courteous and careful. They never left the job at the end of the day with any exposed decking nor garbage on the ground. Final walk through was mostly about caring for the roof so debris doesn't block water channels. Very helpful information. The final price was exactly what the estimator had specified. I now have a written guarantee for 15 years and would not be surprised if it lasts a lot longer than that. read more

I have called Lyons on three occasions in the last two weeks in order to get an estimate for a small repair what I was told would more than likely be covered as part of my ten year warranty. Dallas was here on 11/7/18. Still no estimate after being assured that it would be forthcoming within a day or two. When I called to complain that no one was following up, I was told that there was no way that the small patch would be covered under my ten year warranty from Lyons' previous roofing job. I am not sure why I was led on by two people from Lyons saying that there was a strong likelihood that the warranty would cover the small repair that was required. It is never a good customer experience to raise expectations only to shatter them. BTW my warranty expired April 1, 2018, and I called in October to request an estimate for a raised bubble on my flat roof. I won't be calling Lyons again. read more

We were very pleased with the job Lyons Roofing did replacing our patio cover roof. It had leaked for years, not every storm but enough to be really annoying. Their estimator came out and was spot on with what we needed for our almost flat roof. They did the job on schedule and soon after we experienced a massive monsoon rain. No leaking whatsoever. My wife booked Lyons Roofing to come first thing on a Friday morning so it wouldn't be too hot. We were thinking about the worker and willing to get up early on a day off. We received a confirmation e-mail earlier in the week. On Friday morning, I received a call from the worker stating he got tied up at his first job of the day and wouldn't be able to make it until later. I said, "No problem, I understand. We'll be around all day so just let me know when you can make it." Even though I had other things to do, I stayed at home waiting for the call back, which never came. That was one month ago today and we have never heard back from the company. Still looking for a roofing company, but definitely would not recommend this one. Lyons Roofing needs to spend less effort on charming their customers and concentrate on their lack of business ethics and skill. .After repairing my roof, I now come to realize they completely destroyed my pool's solar system. I sent photos and other documentation which clearly indicated the horrific condition of panels and tubes carelessly thrown back onto the roof. Paul, the owner of Lyons Roofing, refused to take responsibility, and is attributing the problem to wind - IMPOSSIBLE!!! Even if wind miraculously through the panels and pipes around, it can only occur if they were re-installed poorly. The company should spend less effort on charming their customers and concentrate on their lack of business ethics and skill. I made an appointment for someone to take a look at my roof. They were 15min late so I just left since this was for a rental. They called me later and said I didn't need to be there, which was not what I was told by the person who set up the appointment in the first place. So this was on the 16th and sure its the holidays, but why does it take this long to drum up a bid? So I sent a message through the website to which I didn't receive any response. Then I called and an answering service took a message saying they were open that day and would call me back. I've pretty much given up on this company at this point. :/ read more
