We used Scott Roofing years ago to replace our deteriorating patio roof, and they did an excellent job. In August we lost shingles on our house during a severe monsoon storm, which also felled one of our trees. After contacting insurance, which recommended replacing the roof, I contacted Scott Roofing. We got an estimate satisfactory to us, which included replacing all of the jacks and flashing which were original to our 38 year-old house. When the day came they brought in a large crew, stripped the roof, and re-shingled it in one day. We also had our small shed re-shingled, even though there was no storm damage, so that the shingles would match, and that took a couple of hours the next morning for two roofers. We got a roof with a 30 year warranty. In 20 years the room was failing. They would not honor the warranty. In fact they said there is no record of our house. They say I claimed they did our work, which implies they think I am lying. The warranty was not explained as a ploy to make them more $. I showed there rep our paperwork and he said too bad so sad. As a disabled veteran I am extremely disappointed with how this company talks to veterans. CLAIMED they did our house. Disgusting way to talk to customers. read more

I requested an underlayment estimate for my flat tile roof. I got an estimate that was twice the cost of all other estimates with a 3 month wait time before installation. They wanted to re lay the tile with a six inch overlap instead of the normal 3 inch overlap and a cheap underlay. Their pricing was ridiculous. They don't seem to want to do residential. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about Scott roofing! My shingles were blown off in the last wind storm. Brad came out right away to put an emergency tarp on my roof, which no doubt prevented roof leaks as it rained through the weekend. Throughout the whole process they were very responsive and patient, especially when it came to helping me choose the right shingle! The communication was excellent, and the team was professional from start to finish. Now that my new roof is done, I couldn't be happier with how it looks and the quality of the work. I called to find out what happened and the person that answered the phone was not friendly and did nothing to help. If that is how Scott Roofing treats people at an estimate I don't want to know how they treat paying customers. If I could rate lower than one star I would. read more

We had a brand new roof installed from Scott Roofing a couple of years ago. Everything looked fine initially, but after a recent (typical AZ) storm, shingles were blown off. We immediately called Scott Roofing, and it took them a few weeks to have someone come out. My husband explicitly asked if they should throw a tarp up in case of another storm, and the person stated "no, it will be fine" and did not tarp. However, another storm came, rain water got through and literally poured through our ceiling into our living room. Our newly remodeled ceiling is ruined, and now we need to spend thousands of dollars in restoration. When asked if they would help to cover the damages of the roof and/or ceiling, as they included a 15-year warranty and the shingles were rated for 110 mph winds, they refused and even charged us to fix the shingles that were blown off. read more

I am satisfied after getting my roof replaced, however if I had to choose again, I would go with a different company. My critique is mostly with poor communication with the estimator regarding what would be done. I thought we were on the same page about some things like replacing existing warped wood, but this was not the case. Also the color was supposed to be tan (my HOA approved this) per the estimator...but it ended chocolate brown and aluminum. Then after the job was "finished", I had to contact them and express how my roof was not aesthetically pleasing, tar splashes, etc... There was one roofer in particular that came back and did an amazing job fixing it. He was responsive and easy to communicate with. Now my roof looks great and I am beyond impressed with the final result. read more

Outstanding service! I have multiple roof tiles come loose from wind. Had another roofing contractor come out and tell me I needed 6 tiles replaced and he could do it for $350 cash. Call Scott Roofing (dispatcher was great) and she set up a free consult. When the estimator (Sal Corona) came out and climbed on the roof told me that the membrane was good, I only had 1 broken tile, and he proceeded to put the remaining tiles back in place. He came down, gave me the broken tile, and told me where I could get a new one for free. He then instructed me how to install the new tile. And he didn't change us anything! My issue is from May 2013. Better late than ever! I give high marks for the "before work" customer service. Scheduling the estimate appointment was easy. The Estimator was punctual, professional, and very helpful with financing. The actual "job" customer service was terrible! The onsite project manager for the job called me at work. They were having a "problem" with the rooftop air conditioning unit and I needed to call my A/C guy. OK, thanks! What he FAILED to tell me was he turned the A/C unit OFF! What!? It was the last week of May in Phoenix! Not hot, hot but still warm enough to need A/C! I came home after work to my dogs in a very warm and stuffy house. The PM knew I had pets, too! So I thought the A/C was off because the A/C had malfunctioned. We slept that night with the windows open and the fans whirling! When my A/C guy came the next day he fixed whatever the "issue" was and turned the unit back on! This was my first roof replacement job! I definitely learned a lot about the process. I won't be calling Scott Roofing again! read more

We needed some roof maintenance, cracked tiles, cracked mortar caps, shifted tiles.. i called 5 different roofers and most would not even give me the time of day for a small job, everyone is so busy right now. However, Scott roofing from start to finish was great! First of all they answer the phone with a kind and happy rep. The estimator was out the next day for a free estimate, he was super nice & professional. Although he said they were busy and it may be 4-6 weeks they would do their best to squeeze us in sooner. The price was clear and included a little cushion incase they found any extra cracked or shifted tiles. They ended up being able to come a week later and fill us in. Those guys that did the work were also very friendly and professional, did a great job! We are very happy with the great customer service with this company. Price was fair as well. read more

Called Scott Roofing about an insurance claim. They refused to bid the job saying they would bid it so high that the insurance company wouldn't pay more than %60-%70. Thy said I'd be out of pocket for the balance plus the deductible. Plus the guy came before his 7am appointment. Might be good that they were honest but they didn't even try. Received estimates from 7 different roofers all within $500-$900 of each other.......except Scott Roofing! Their estimate was approx. $5000 over what all the other roofers' bids were. When I called them to re-bid the contract they were very arrogant and stated "that is our price and we are not re-bidding". There is a reason why they are rated 3 out of 5 stars on Yelp. Arrogant estimators and 33% more expensive than all the other roofers in the Valley. They don't really care..... I've read enough reviews on Yelp and at other places and you would be wise to go with another roofer. read more

What a waste of time, I called Scott Roofing after having major damage to my roof due to a microburst. I was surprised when someone answered the phone on a Sunday. The person on the phone was nice, took down all my info and scheduled an appointment for Tuesday at 8am, I had requested Wednesday since I'm off of work that day but they were booked. I did manage to move my work schedule around a little to be home at 8am, 8:30am rolls around and no one shows up and no phone call, I call Scott Roofing back and got transferred to someone's voice mail. Forget this, if this is your first impression you give your potential customers I would dread to see what kind of work this company does. Don't waste your time dealing with this company, call someone else that will actually show up. read more

Yes, I set up the appointment and yes, I was the one waiting for Scott Roofing Company to show up. 5) Just because Tom H wrote the review, it does not mean that he is the one that scheduled the appointment. 6) No it was not another Roofing company. I already had multiple quotes. 7) No I did not call Scott Roofing in Wichita because we did not live in Wichita at the time of the call. By blaming a customer, without checking your facts, you make your company look incompetent. I am very glad that we did not use Scott Roofing Company. 8/27/2016 We called Scott Roofing for a quote to repair or replace our roof. It took several calls for them to call us back. Once they called us back, they stated that they were so busy that it would be two weeks before they would be able to come to our home. We decided that we already had three quotes - all were within a few thousand dollars of each other - but would give Scott Roofing a chance just to make sure of our decision. They would come out today - Saturday, August 27th - as a first appointment or very early in the morning. They put replacement roof on my house, though at higher cost than other bidders. It was an upgrade with 30-year labor/50 year material warranty. It was well done and looks great. Customer satisfaction = 4.5 However, when I later sold the house, the warranty transfer cost was quoted at $1000 (for a simple change of owners in their records). I thought it was a mistake, but they informed me it was not, rationalizing that it was required to essentially issue a new warranty (on a new roof with a paid-for warranty). After-installation customer satisfaction = 0. If this is of concern to you, ask about their warranty transfer charge FIRST. This soured me enough that I would not use them again. After playing phone tag with this business for about a week, I ended up leaving a detailed message on a Sunday afternoon with days I was available to schedule an estimate. Not only did I not a receive a phone call back, but they went ahead and scheduled an estimate appointment on a completely different day from when I had requested (Saturday versus my proposed Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday) and sent me the appointment via email. What!? I needed the quote, so I went with it and planned accordingly. The guy was running late but did call to let me know. Then he still didn't show... He called again saying he was at my house, only he had the completely incorrect address on the other side of the valley. Someone had obviously entered something incorrectly. The poor guy said it would be another hour for him to get to my actual address. So, we agreed that he'd look my property up online and I gave him the specifications of the roof area needing repair, and he was to get back in touch with me later with "rough estimate" before he would come out the following day for a firm estimate. That way I would have an idea what we were looking at before wasting more of both of our time. Never heard from him or the business again... No calls, no emails, no one at my house to look at the roof... Nothing. Needless to say, we went with another business, a well-know company with radio ads and a reasonable estimate, and the work is currently under way. read more

Scott Roofing removed the existing tile and underlayment. They replaced rotting plywood and the underlayment and then replaced the tile. Scott Roofing employees were all very helpful, honest and extremely hard working. They all had old fashioned work ethics. They kept a clean job site, even with up to eight men on the job at one time! Very impressed with the company and the excellent job they did. Thank you to the estimator Brad, Oscar the foreman and especially Eddie the job superintendent for a great job well done. Having Scott Roofing put a new flat roof extreme coating on my house in April of 2017, I HIGHLY recommend the company. I've had nothing but great experiences with this customer service oriented company. I had a ceiling leak start during an afternoon monsoon on 08/12/18 and they came out the day after and examined cause and fixed it on the spot (was scupper related - the roof remains in great shape). Eric also provided a reference for drywallers as I want the section that leaked redone. Customer friendly, responsive company with great payment options. I received an estimate to repair my roof and paid a deposit. Four weeks later when they were ready to schedule my repair (for another 4 weeks into the future) I was told my estimate amount would QUADRUPLE in cost. My roof now continues to go un-repaired while I start this process all over again with another roofing company. Scott would not stand by their estimate, even though they had already collected a deposit from me. I no longer respect Scott Roofing--what's the point of an estimate if they will use "bait and switch" tactics when they decide to actually do the work. read more

Scott Roofing put a new coating of elastomeric on our roof. They cleaned the existing roof, and placed two coats of elastomeric using an embedded mesh. I must say that the job was executed very well, and the end result was a roof that looks great. Time will tell, but I suspect the roof will hold up very well. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to a friend. read more

I purchased a home and had it fully remodeled, except the roof. When I finished the hiring of contractors and the entire remodel was completed, I then decided I wanted to replace the roof and make it new as well. It is a basic gray shingle, nothing expensive. I contacted Scott Roofing and a gentleman came to provide me a quote. My home is 1600 sq ft living space with a connected patio and laundry room. Little to say, the quote he gave me was almost $12,000 to replace the roof with the most basic of gray shingles. The wood is not in bad shape, as I had it inspected when I bought the home. In fact the roof is not in bad shape, I wanted to have it replaced for aesthetic purposes only to match the rest of the fully remodeled home. When he provided me this outrageous quote, I looked back at him dumbfounded knowing he was essentially trying to rip me off. I asked him how much it would cost to replace only the roof over the patio--knowing the first quote was horrendous I was curious what he would quote me there. He quoted me $3500. My patio is roughly 20 x 6. Little to say I never called them back. The gentleman who quoted me called back three times and left messages (which I never returned) asking if I was interested in his quote. Having gone through an entire remodel of a home, hiring multiple contractors (which this Scott Roofing appraiser knew, as I told him outright), this man still thought he was going to flat out rip me off. Don't waste your time folks, it is a few hours of my life I will never get back. Be very careful and do your research as well, the older gentleman they sent to my home never batted an eye when he provided me these ridiculous quotes, and had the nerve to call back three times to ask if I was interested weeks later. We had a small roof leak earlier this monsoon season and we called a number or roofers about getting the roof repaired. We soon learned that most of the big companies send out sales guys (instead of repair estimators) and they don't want to repair the roof leak, but want to sell you an entire new roof or re-paper the entire roof. And Scott Roofing was no different. The guy arrived on time. And we showed him where water was leaking inside the house. He proceeded to take out brochures on new roofs and new roof tiles and tell us that financing was available. All this without even getting on the roof. We started to push back and he said that we might not need a new roof, but he'd be better able to tell once he got on the roof and inspected it. At that point we decided we didn't even want him on the roof and wouldn't let him get up there. I'm giving this company two stars because he did arrive on time. And because if you wanted a new roof, you might want to hear them out. But be wary if you're calling for a roof repair. read more

I called Scott Roofing to take a look at a leak on a flat roof. They called to confirm the appointment, and were on time. The professional looked around on the roof, took some pictures and gave me his advice. The advice was the leak may be over here, or over there. It might be under the tile on the east side, or perhaps the tile on the west side of the roof. Perhaps it is on the other second story roof. He was without a second ladder, unwilling to use my ladder and so unwilling to climb onto the second story to take a look. I said I would be interested in seeing an estimate. I was told no estimate. could be $2000, might be $5000. If his suggestions did not solve the problem it may be a problem with the stucco on one of the second story walls. This experience jolted my memory of a similar Scott roofing estimate roughly 4 years ago. I am very unhappy with the "estimate." I will say that I thought the estimator was forthright, and tried to give me good advice. However isn't it there job to find the leaks, and repair the work at a fair price? He neither located the leak not offered any real solution. Only suggesting to do a huge job all at once, not the most likely area first and move down the line. There was no real diagnosis. Just a waste of my time. I do not blame the estimator. I think the home office is uninterested is spending the time to find the problems. read more

Scott Roofing just finished a new roof on our 22 year old house. We are very blessed to have had Eddie and his crew put a new roof on our house. Eddie took pictures of the damage on the roof, explained what his crew was going to do and when the crew would be here. The guys worked extremely hard and did a fantastic job. Eddie did a fantastic job of supervising the crew, making a final inspection and keeping us informed of the progress. We are extremely satisfied with the crew, and Eddie. We cannot say enough about Eddie's professional, courteous and friendly attitude. Anyone who needs a new roof or repairs on their roof, your money is well spent on Eddie and his crew. I met with a sales consultant from Scott Roofing to get bids on repairing roofs on two houses,. He seemed nice, but shocked me when he presented me with a $30,000 bid for one house & $33,000 for the other, claiming that I needed to replace the entire roof on each house. He was extremely pushy & told me that the roof on one house would be ripped right off by the first monsoon of the summer! Well, we had several monsoons & the roof is still there. Scare tactics are NOT a smart sales tactic. His bid on that one house was at least $10,000-20,000 MORE than any of the other bids that I received. The other house only has a few small leaks & does not even need to be entirely re-roofed, just a few small areas. He was so far out of the ballpark on both bids, it was a joke. Perhaps he thought that he could take advantage of me because I am a woman, but I knew that his bids were both so ridiculously overpriced, unless he was using pure gold! No stars from me! read more
