I saw KY-KO roofing working on my Neighbors home. I spoke to my neighbor and he said he got the info from our other neighbor. So basically three houses in a row did a roof coat with them. We were all very pleased. They don't give you an exact day and time for arrival which I didn't like but they did show up in the rather large window they said they would. Since it's on the roof you don't need to be home so does this really matter? They have someone inspect before and after. They also gave me a 5 year warranty. read more

For our tile roof, they first removed the tiles, removed old underlayment, replaced plywood as needed, put down new underlayment, replaced two skylights, then placed the original tiles back down and even included one section of new tiles. This is my opinion of their service. They replaced our roof in June 2022. When we hired a licensed and bonded company, we did not expect day laborers with a forman. Within three months, mold was coming in through the walls. They had not navigated the flashing around our air conditioning unit well, and water poured in one wall. On an opposing wall They, the licensed and bonded company, left the air conditioning condensate line in the exhaust pipe, which is against international plumbing code. The pipe had broken during their pounding, and the water ended up in another wall. Insurance denied everything, and we had to pay $10,700 for mold mitigation, which took both bathrooms, the kitchen, and the hall closet to studs. We had a year from hell. Obey lied to the ROC about the # of times they had to come out. The warranty guys give you their cell numbers so that they can come without listing it with the company, covering up their problems. Water poured in even through the new year. God provided. Their insurance offered pittance and demanded us to sign a waiver to get anything. Never use Ky-ko! Their warranty line had an hour wait time. They destroyed our house. In the pics, you can see the continual leaks, even 6 months later, as well as what we were left with. Don't walk, run from them. We never got a refund from them. Run! This roofing company was recommended to me by a friend. At first, they were very helpful at assisting. Now that the roof is finished, it is the opposite. There has been several issues with the awning since they replaced it. It rattles and has had to be looked at and repaired several times since they replaced it. Now, the roof is leaking again. Every time I call and report an issue, the office staff is very rude and has the attitude that I am wasting their time. They are short with their answers and not warm. In a day and age when about every contractor or service company you have to deal with has poor customer service, no communication skills, and poor execution, Kyko delivered leaps and bounds above normal companies. They start with a great sales person, Shane that was very nice, knew his roofing, and was very patient with me. They delivered the job a week ahead of schedule, communicated every step of the way through our project and kept me informed, and the team that was onsite, cleaned up daily, were very polite, and did a final cleaning that was beyond my expectation. I was already planning on giving them a 5 star review, their supervisor showed up to inspect, replaced 3 broken tiles that I would never have known about, and when he asked how everything went, I said great except we had a neighbor get a nail in her tire from the tear off work. My wife is a Realtor so we have dealt with a lot of roofing companies around the valley. When it came time to replace our own roof, we chose KYKO. That should tell you something. KYKO repaired our existing roof (that had suffered some leaks over the years due to poor initial construction of the home) and then covered everything with a white foam roof. The "estimator" was polite and very informative. The installers were prompt in the install and did a wonderful job. All went well. It was several months before we had rain so I could not evaluate the water seal of the roof until monsoon hit. Well, we did have a leak around a skylight that showed up after a very heavy rainstorm. We were told, then, that KYKO recommends replacement of old skylights at the same time the roof was replaced. Unfortunately no one from KYKO mentioned that at the time of the install so it was not done. To their credit, they came back and replaced the skylights for what it would have cost me if it had been done at the time of roof replacement. That was a perfect resolution. I highly recommend KYKO. They do stand behind their product and their workmanship. read more

I revised my review, over the payment lien issues after discussion with their accounting depart. Bottomline, they did a good job with both the foam and tile replacements of roofs at our home. Due to weather and material issues there was a longer lead time to get it completed. I cannot attest to the quality of the roof repair at this time, however I cannot recommend Kyko due to the myriad of damage and issues that occurred to my home during their repair process. The contact was signed November 4, 2015, however work was not performed until two months later. Because of this time frame , I incurred ceiling drywall damage to my ceiling in my detached garage. ( I was advised I will it be reimbursed). There was a variety of issues during the job. The staff cut our thermostat line and foamed over it resulting in a loss of heat. Note, our home is a historic Adobe walled home, it was 59 degrees in the house by morning. The after hours staff was quite rude, and we were not able to reach anyone until morning, and the heat was repaired by an outside company 24 hours later. The staff got white roofing paint material on a large pot in the yard and damaged the stucco in several places with damage around 8 -15 inch chunks and counting. The staff also left cable wires hanging several feet off the roof, and draped over the dish. The foam material has now dried in a yellow spots on the sides of the home. Generally, they appeared to have an appearance of general disregard for my home. Kyko has agree to repair some of the items, however my confidence in what was recommended to me as a BBB A+ highly recommended company has wained as I will have to incur out-of-pocket costs on my own to make my home whole again after this repair. read more

A little late on an update. Upon writing an email, the night of the issue, a supervisor showed up that night. He agreed with the issue and we worked out a solution. Kyko ended up doing a strip down of one side of roof. Fixed the flashing in question and fixed all damaged drywall, appliances were checked and found to be in good working order. I appreciate the quick action to fix the problem. My only suggestion at this time would of been a follow up by Mgmt. to insure things were to the standards we all agreed on. Excellent roof repair by Ky-ko! The original roof on our house was evidently done in a hurry, and over the years had three major repairs and one complete re-roof by other companies. I thought that I had done my homework to hire competent businesses but each one had their shortcomings. The re-roof was a disaster of the highest order. This winter I noticed yet another leak, and had evaluations and estimates from three roofing companies, including Ky-ko Roofing Systems. Ky-ko was the only one that did a thorough inspection and explained what was necessary to fix the existing problem. The other two --to be kind--did not and would rather do the whole roof, which was not what I asked for. I had certain demands based on my previous experiences, and Ky-ko accepted them. The result was a welcome relief. Their on-site foreman, Thomas, showed me exactly what they were going to do. They did that, and then he showed me what they had done. He also caught some additional errors that the prior re-roofers had made and suggested how they could be corrected. What a relief! The leak is fixed, and I am going to ask them back this summer to correct the rest of the botched re-roof that the others had done. So I'm well satisfied. I got bids from several roofing companies to have the underlayment of my tile roof replaced. I picked those companies based on yelp reviews, but in looking at the reviews after I had bids, I noticed how many of the reviews were left by users who had only a couple of reviews which made me wonder if they were legitimate reviews, or just left by friends/family etc. So, then I started asking around and 3 of my realtor buddies that flip houses recommended KyKo. I was nervous due to their low ratings, but I decided to trust personal recommendations over Yelp reviews that I felt suspicious of. Their bid came in about midway between the others, not lowest or highest. Staff was nice. Job was scheduled quickly and completed quickly. They cleaned up daily and did not leave anything behind. Once they finished, they came back to check the work, do touch up, and use their giant magnet to find screws and nails in the yard. This project was big and expensive but it was all pretty painless. I'd definitely use them again and would highly recommend them to you. read more

Don't waste your time with this company. I had an estimator out to the house and he gave me a quote. I texted him and emailed 4 times over 10 days, trying to actually award him the business. He wouldn't get back to me. I called the marketing director last Mon. She apologized to me & after sending her a signed contract to approve and begin the work, she told me someone would contact me ASAP to schedule the repair. After waiting another FIVE full business days, no one made any attempt to call, email or otherwise get in touch to schedule the work. What poor customer service. When I sent a notice to CANCEL the contract, not a soul even bothered to inquire as to WHY I was so put off to cancel the contract. I did not have a good experience using Ky-Ko to re-shingle my roof. If they would have been proactive, I may have changed my opinion. I had several estimates, Ky-Ko was in the middle range. My contract stated 2 bad areas of fascia boards would be replaced. On the date of installation, I took off work to be present. This date was changed the day prior. When they finally rescheduled the work date, I came home during my lunch break. When I told the workers the fascia boards had not been replaced, they had no idea it had to be done. When I returned in the late afternoon, I inspected the roof and noted several areas that were "wavy" and could retain water in a rain. A supervisor was sent a couple days later when I wasn't home. Ky-Ko called me the next day and said the supervisor said the roof looked ok. I said "No Way" and I wanted to be there when a supervisor came out. A supervisor came out and said there were several faulty areas of installation. Several sections had to be redone. Several months latter, during a rainstorm, there was a water leak around the roof AC unit. I cannot recommend this company. They should have done follow-up to see if I was satisfied. read more

As we hit a rare week in Arizona with rains predicted all week it reminds me how comforting it is to know we no longer have to worry about leaks. Our customer service rep Keith was excellent and communicated all along the process. He sent pictures regularly so we could follow the progress. He even brought the owner of KY-KO, Obby, out to our home to assess exactly what our older stucco home needed. I had my roof replaced a few years ago and all was good. My review is on my service call today. I had a broken tile and requested for a service call. The tech was great the replacement fine. However I was told $75 fee service call to come out and then $75 hourly. I agreed as I don't want to go up on my roof. What I'm disappointed in is the fact I was charged $75 hourly rate for 10 minutes worth of work so be warned a service call is $150 just to come out not the advertised $75 as they do not prorate their hourly you are paying for an hour no matter how much time or work is completed. read more

Very disappointed with this company. I had kyko install foam on my flat roof about 2 years ago. They cut 3 feet up on my shingle roof and foamed underneath the shingles. Instead of correctly installing the shingles they just pushed the same shingles and cut underlining paper up without fixing to the roof. Low and behold my ac service tech let me know about the issue. I have no clue how long it's been like this or what damage it has caused in my attic. BEWARE OF THIS PROCEDURE! Very poor workmanship! All in all it took them 2 months to replace our old roof, and the entire process was riddled with miscommunication, delays, and part of the roof having to be redone due to a mismatched color being installed. I had roof damage after a microburst and needed someone to give me a quote on what it would cost to repair the damaged section or just replace the roof outright. I heard about Ky-Ko from the radio and setup an appointment. The estimator showed up and I was beyond disgusted with him. First off he looked like a bum, completely unprofessional attire and this was at 8am in the morning, no excuse that he was working outside all day but what happened next really took me by surprise. He offered to do the job himself on the side to repair the damage, I'm not stupid about this I work with these kind of shady people all day. He told me for a couple hundred dollars in cash he could fix the damaged part of the roof, when I asked for a quote he refused to give me one. Why would anyone in their right mind do business with someone that is willing to stab their employer in the back to make a quick buck on the side. I called Ky-Ko for a quote as I have an insurance adjuster coming on Saturday and I need quotes for her and he wouldn't give me one. There is zero chance I would let anyone do any work on my house if they are willing to go behind their employers back to score some quick cash. That is just asking for problems down the road. We have foam roof done by KYKO and the company is not backing up their warranty with excuses. The foam is visible outside, coats have been peeled off from multiple places. There are multiple blisters on the roof. Customer service is not being quite responsive. I don't like to work with them in future or would not recommend anybody to do so, when a company is not backing up their own warranty and hesitate fixing so many issues with excuses. read more

In March, we requested KY-KO to inspect our roof for possible leakage. Shane Newton was on-time for his appointment and was familiar with our roof as the prior owner had used KY-KO in the past. Shane was very helpful in showing me around my roof and explaining what maintenance was needed and sequencing of removing pool solar panels. The work was performed in stages with power washing first and then sealing cracks or holes and top coating with elastomer and completed in May. All personnel during three appointments were on-time and professional explaining processes and providing suggestions. The work is not inexpensive, but comes with a five year "no-leak" warranty. The only area for improvement would have been to clean up the debris that was power washed off the roof throughthe scuppers leaving piles around my house. I had several estimates from different companies, but Joe was the most impressive. He came out while it was storming and even tried to stop a small leak. I hired off of him. I did end up with some complications on scheduling and cleaning up, however, when I called back again and spoke with Joe, he was able to get a supervisor and one of their best employees out. They came back twice until I was more than satisfied. Oscar, is amazing! He found where the leak was, and even though it wasn't in a section they had replaced, he repaired it. I have had a kyko foasm roof on my home for almost 10 yers now - still under warranty -------- had some leaks 3 weeks ago when we had the major 4-5 inch deluge........one was up the parapet wall, not related to the foam and not covered, I was told how to repair myself - I did A week or so later, above the garage doors - single side and double side and hidden when the doorsd are open, I noticed two pouches protruding downward and obviously ceiling drywall damage. On top the roof I see that a repair was made on the white foam with a brown repair material - it's in between the leaks below in the garage ---------------- when I called, Kyko said they would re-inspect; but they had done this repair and never informed me the first time they came------the rub is that interior damage repair is NOT COVERED---heads up if, like me, you think a warranty covers leakage damage - no - just the roof repair itself You're on your own for interior leak damages. read more

I hired them in late 2014 to replace my roof. Due to a backlog of people needing storm repairs/replacements, the work didn't start until early 2015. That wasn't really a problem for me. The issues started when the workers showed up and continue to occur at least annually. The first day things seemed to being going fine until the the workers left at 1 p.m. and never came back that day. My roof was left exposed (just plywood, no tarps or tar paper to cover it). They also left tools, gallon jugs of water, and trash on the roof. Some of this crap blew off the roof in the night because a small rain storm moved through. Not cool. Thankfully I didn't notice water coming in because thankfully it was a light rain. When I called KyKo the next day to find out that was all about, I got some schpeel about a "last minute" meeting the workers had the afternoon prior. Wth. That does not explain why they left my roof exposed and left garbage all over the place. The next day, they showed up and left my backyard gate open, which allowed one of my dogs to escape when I let him out before I left for work. The day before I had told them they needed to make sure the gate was always shut. They confirmed they would. I didn't even get an apology for this. After the roof was done, it turned out that they had forgotten to install the ridge venting I had paid for. They also didn't replace at least one of the pieces of decking plywood they were supposed to either. I was refunded for the ridge venting, but pretty damn annoyed that I didn't get something I 1) wanted and 2) had already paid for. During the job they cut my thermostat line, which resulted in no A/C come April when I needed it. I was told that this was not their problem and that they weren't paying to fix it. Cool. Is their work at least high quality? No, at least not in the case of my roof. If you like continued leaks after paying thousands for a new roof, hire Ky-Ko. I've had FOUR leaky spots in 3.5 years. These leaks are a result of their failure to appropriately seal around vents, the AC duct, and where my foam roof meets the shingles. They do come out to repair the leaks, but I've never heard of a new roofs having so many ongoing issues as this. My neighbors who had other roofers replace their roofs around the same time as mine have had zero issues. read more
