I needed a new core in my vehicle door due to it being damaged during a break in. He came to me and completed the job in a timely manner. He has great communication and updated me about what was going on and what he did. I will definitely be using him again when I need to get new vehicle keys that need programming. Had the pleasure to meet William when I needed keys for two of my cars. He came to us and worked very fast and walked me along what he was doing and why he was doing it. He made me a new set on my 2005 Toyota sienna and quoted 150 for a new key and a fob. That is more than half of the price that the Toyota dealership quoted. He also cut the new key to a factory setting so if my old key is a little worn down the new one isn't. He also helped me change the batteries on my 2009 Mazda 5 key, while finding a new part for my other key. One of my Mazda keys was missing the buttons and I had to put the key in the door to open it. I would like to share my experience with A1 Anytime Locksmith. We were in need to rekey two doors at our home; both doors had two locks, a deadbolt, and a keyed doorknob. It is considered rekeying four locks with is fine. I tend to like to call a business with an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. I called two different nearby locksmith companies in Hayward for a quote to rekey both doors, thinking it may be less expensive since we are located very close to them. That was not the case; in fact, one company started out saying there's a $94.95 charge to come to my house, which I thought was outrageous since we are both in Hayward. He continued to say there's a $17.95 per rekey and $15.95 per something & $3.50 per something else, and $4.79 per key came to a total of $238.00 to just rekey not replace the locks, then he ended the conversation first availability would be Monday next week. I needed them rekeyed the day I called, which was Weds. The 2nd company I called was also in Hayward; they gave the same outrageous trip charge and multiple charges with the total amount $235.00 of a few dollars cheaper than the first quote. I still found it to be costly not to be replacing locks with new ones. I continued down the list of A + rated companies on BBB and came across A1-Anytime Locksmith. I called them a gentleman, named William answered. I explained to him what I needed, and he surprisingly said his cost was $75.00 for the first door lock and $25.00 for each additional lock for a total $150.00 to rekey the four locks and $3.00 per key that was a blessing to hear during these troublesome times when many of us have lost our long tenure jobs due to COVID-19. William then told me he could come later today to do the job as soon as he finished his current job. William arrived early afternoon; he came wearing a mask, which I was pleased to see. He was amiable and listened to our request without any interruptions. William then proceeded to do the work; he informed us that he would step outside to his van for about 15 mins to re-pin the locks and make the new keys. He returned within the timeframe he mentioned and finished up the job. He handed me the four new keys and asked me to try each one to confirm they work, and I am satisfied. I did as he requested, and all the keys worked fine on both doors. He then handed me my old keys and asked me to try them in the locks to confirm they will no longer open the door, and he was correct; my previous keys were not inoperable. I can't say enough for A1-Anytime Locksmith in San Leandro. They display the best customer service, the willingness to go above and beyond, to squeeze in an unexpected last-minute request for same-day service and provided such reasonable prices just to satisfy a potential customer. I will definitely use them for my future needs and refer them to others such as family, friends, or strangers on Next door. That being said, I was able to meet up with William half way between Oakland and San Leandro where he was able to cut and program two additional keys for my 07 Dodge Ram. He was very informative and showed me what he was doing the whole time. He even deleted one of the old key in the memory so that key can no longer be used to start the car (Something I didn't even think to do).
