I hired Young's Lock & Key to install two deadbolts and replace a keyed doorknob in my home, yesterday. Also wanted all these to be rekeyed. Mr. Young was on time, professional, and completed the job much quicker that I had thought it would take. Mr. Young cleaned up before he left, and the price was more than fair. My wife and I both love the new deadbolts and the keyed doorknob. Highly recommended!!! read more

Ten years or so ago, he fixed the lock on my old Honda door. He did a very good job, especially since I used that lock several times a day and night over the years. So when it broke again, I remembered his work. He finally find a lock that would work on my car, and fixed it within a week. He explained the work and answered my questions. The price seemed reasonable especially during these times. I'd call him again for any lock work. read more

Searching "Locksmith San Leandro" over the weekend, I found Young's, and called to ask if he did outdoor gates as well. Mr. Young sounded great, but I figured, "Better check Yelp." Lo and behold, all five star reviews! Is there a way to give ten stars? Mr. Young come out today , soon after I phoned again. It was not an emergency, but I didn't have to wait for the service, which was much appreciated. He explained what was wrong with my previous coded lock, why it was beyond repair, and told me what he'd do to replace it. He wrote an itemized estimate, I ok'd it, and he proceeded to install a new gate lock. Relief! THANK YOU, Mr Young. We are fortunate you are here in the East Bay. I wish every business person had the integrity, courtesy, and skill you show to your clients! read more

The price was very reasonable and he was patient and explained everything to me. He even jumped my car battery to make sure everything was working properly. I Can't say enough good stuff about this service. You won't be dissapointed. read more

Young's Lock & Key is THE BEST! Today, I was somehow locked out of my car even though the model of my car doesn't auto lock. First time it has ever happened and unfortunately I couldn't even step away to call an Uber home to get the spare keys because my bag was already in the passenger seat with my wallet, house keys and company laptop. I just couldn't trust to leave things there in the Target parking lot. I found Young and he was so responsive. Asked me what make, model and year my car was. He also puzzled over how I got locked out because, again, no auto lock. He showed up within 10 minutes or less. Fastest arrival time EVER of any service call I've made. And within 30 minutes from my initial call, my door was unlocked and I was a very satisfied customer. Young was so easy to work with and even cautioned me to be careful in the area. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again for any lock service needs. Thank you so much! read more

Young was prompt and professional. I am a real estate broker and property manager and I have worked with various locksmiths. Many of the numbers are call centers and they send whoever is around out and it's a hit or miss if you get a reliable one. Young is a small business owner who takes pride in his work. Super friendly and just a good and honest business man. He labeled all the keys which no one has ever done. His quote was fair and reasonable. His keys were higher quality He is definitely my go to locksmith for anything in the East Bay. I"m so glad I called him. read more

What excellent service I received! My call was answered by a person, not a recording. The appointment was set up for the same day. When a job caused him to run behind schedule, he called me right away to ask for a later time. He was profusely embarrased, as he told me this never happens, but he wanted to be respectful and let me know as soon as possible. This was a point in my book, as just the other day I talked to a different locksmith, who gave me a rough estimate and we set up an appointment for him to come over the next day. He told me he would call me back in about 10 minutes. He never called back. I wasn't sure if he was coming the next day or not. I called and left a voice mail message. He never bothered to call me back. So back to Young's Lock & Key,,,he arrived at the new appointment time, was extremely corteous, and knew what to do right away. My lock situation was a bit different than just a house door re-key. He made new keys for three different locks in a very short time. One of the locks was a rare lock, which should have costed a lot more than what he quoted. However, he chose to honor his original quote. He accepted various type of payments, which allowed me to decide my best method. I introduced him to Yelp, by printing out his existing excellent recommendations and suggested that he use this as further advertising by sending his prospects to check him out here. So keep the Yelp thing going for him, use his services. read more

28 years of experience, friendly, reasonable and quick. Arrived ahead of schedule and completed changing out 6 locks in a matter of an hour. Also wore booties over his shoes when in the house as not to soil the carpets. Outstanding! read more

Young's Lock & Key is an amazing business. Mr. Young goes all out to help. I have a 1997 Saturn that my son lost all the keys to. Mr. Young explained that it is too expensive to change the locks for this old car, and he would try to make a key for the car. He said he would try but it would be difficult and if he couldn't he wouldn't charge me. Three hours later he is still working and I will pay him something even if he can't get me the key. I've done business with him before to make keys and my keys always worked! If you need a locksmith, Young's is the place to go. read more

I had to re key a house I purchased and I found Young through a personal referral and was glad to see his Yelp reviews were great too. I called one guy before him and he wanted to charge me a lot so when I called young and got a quote for half of what the other person stated I was happy. Young also said if he looked at the locks and needed to do more work and we didn't like the price we didn't have to use him he would be okay with that. He was able to provide service the same day that I called. He showed up on time. He was courteous and quick took about 1.5 hours for 8 locks! Thanks Young! read more

Great work. Took a risk on my car key cutting. The old key was worn and my car is older. He still took the risk and provided a solid product. After running the key in the ignition a few times it works great in the door and ignition. Both needed a little bit of lube. He said it would work and it did. Thanks I will be back for all my key needs. read more

Young's Lock & Key is professional, friendly and best of all, extremely affordable. I lost a key to one of our doors and they came out promptly to help re-key the door. I'll concur with those five star reviewers. Mr. Young installed a new deadbolt for me and I can't say a bad thing about the man. He was human, professional, friendly and did a little extra for me making some keys. He didn't want to charge me for that but I paid him a small contribution anyway. His price for installing the lock was very reasonable. We had a nice chat as well. read more

I found Young on Yelp, yesterday. It was about 3pm and I needed a lock changed on my mailbox because I just sold my house and the new owner was moving in the next morning and needed to have this done ASAP.
