Probably the best pizza place in town…read more Came here twice, once on a Friday evening and another during weekday midday. Weekends and evenings are hectic, the place is packed and our wait was around 35 minutes. On weekday midday we were seated and served right away. Servers are very accomodating and attentive. Our food came out relatively fast both times, within 15-20 mins of ordering for multiple dishes. The basic marinara pizza is surpsingly very good and is our favorite so far. The thin crust is cooked perfectly with a satisfying bite, and the marinara with garlic/oregano/olio verde/pecorino was simple yet delicious. All pizzas come with chili flakes and parmesean to add to your liking. The pepperoni and Il Tuffo were great too. The menu has a variety of pizzas with yummy sounding topping combos that keep you wanting to come back and try them all. The location is clean and lively, with a lot of varied seating indoor and out. And, it's tradition to grab icecream next door, which is a good use of time during longer waits. For the price and the quality, the pizzas are definitely worth coming for.

It's weird that I've never written a review for Hey Neighbor It's Pizza (H-N-I-P) before since I…read moreconsider it to be about the best product in town. I won't bore you with details on crust (thinnish with a nice chew) or toppings (interesting varieties and well and evenly dispersed, nothing clumped in one area) and the friendly staff, etc. Nope, I would not have been there numerous times over the last handful of years and recommend it to most everyone I know. So why just the three-star rating? Lemme tell you about a pet peeve of mine: automatic gratuities. Tips added on to the total without any indication to the patron. Don't get me wrong-- I completely understand for larger parties, like six or more. I've spent months/years as a waiter so I understand the frustration of working hard to please a table only to get a 10% tip. As a now-former waiter, I try to tip generously. What I don't understand or expect is an automatic gratuity for small group, especially when I am a solo diner. Just me. Party of one. With minimal indication on the bill as to the added tip. After my last time at H-N-I-P I got the check, added on my own tip and paid. Then I pondered on the total. It seems funky -- why is it more than just the pizza and salad I ate... there's no tax in Oregon... Whuh? I look more closely at the bill and see that they already added on a tip...? I guess they just got a nearly 50% tip from me. Which might be the last tip because it's seriously irritating. In time I'll probably have a pizza craving that only they can fill, and go back. I'll look more closely at the menu to see if and where the automatic gratuity is mentioned. Enjoy the pizza. Beware the automatic gratuity.

Hands-down, this is the best pizza I've ever had…read more The crust is amazing, and they are very liberal with the quality and quantity of toppings. My favorite was the 100 Yard Dash. My wife's favorite was Beef Taco. The 100 Yard Dash has Canadian Bacon, Pepperoni, Sausage, Ground Beef, and Olives with Pineapple. That's a lot of meat! It's so mouth-watering, I want to drive to Eugene to get another one. If I have to find something negative to say... The parking lot is crammed full of cars with no empty spaces. Street parking is minimal. There are two pay lots less than a block away. This is because the restaurant is full of people enjoying the best pizza in the Pacific Northwest... No, in the country. I've been to New York, Chicago, Hawaii, and all the other places that claim to have great pizza, but Track Town beats them all. Just don't be in a hurry.

I ordered the Track and Field Combo personal pizza and 10 baked chicken wings. Despite all of the toppings on the pizza, it really had no flavor. I had to dip it in some of the wing sauce to spruce it up. The wings also had no real flavor. It feels like they didn't season anything at all. Great people, convenient location, but the food just isn't good.

Because it was a 12 inch...and because of the oven the pizza came out perfectly. It was midmorning, so the place wasn't packed yet, and I needed a bite before I got on the road. I wanted some light pizza in this place made an exceptional sausage pizza with olives and onions called the Brooklyn. I requested fresh basil to be added. Kyle offered me a glass of water while I waited and then told me about their happy hour which goes from 2 to 5 and four of the pizzas are discounted and the beer on top is also reduced in price. Briefly stepped out into the parking lot for a minute and a stranger stopped and offered me a beautiful single rose. It was a lovely surprise and made my crazy morning easier. When I went inside a really delicious hot pizza -- made with the thin crust I like -- was ready for me to take with me. When I open the box the smell was actually so irresistible I ate a slice before I left. Don't forget to check out the Lego display by the door and someone there loves plants and the plants know it bc they are thriving! Hey Neighbor is a great place to come for pizza and a welcoming vibe. Thanks Kyle!
