Got here at opening on a Saturday so it was nice and quiet and the displays were full. I was warmly greeted by the girl at the counter and the bakers in the back. This was my first time here so the girl at the counter was patient and helpful in answering my questions and making suggestions. It is a spacious beautiful place with fresh flowers, a large mirror, some speciality coffees and syrups for sale and a big wall of glassware and items they use to host teas. Anyway, I got a chocolate croissant, bacon jam croissant, ricotta cookies, a mini cupcake, a Dubai chocolate bar, hot caramel macchiato, and the bananas foster specialty coffee iced (since that's the way it usually comes) breve style. Everything was DELICIOUS. My son is obsessed with chocolate croissants and he loved it. The bacon jam croissant was AMAZING! It was stuffed with the bacon jam and they did not shy away from putting plenty of bacon. I loved the bananas foster drink. The Dubai chocolate bar, while yummy, is quite rich so it's an item to share with others for sure. Some stuff was for my family and they enjoyed all of their items. I think the place has the merits of most places along 7th st and Roosevelt area. That being an overpriced joint with subpar quality. The coffee tastes like the machines aren't cleaned and the pastries taste rushed. The staff is really friendly and also incredibly busy because there's usually one or two of them. Which I think is indicative of the quality here. Increase staff and pay a living wage in order to increase the intention/attention to detail that may upgrade this place enough to maybe justify its price points every now and then instead of "not again". read more

I stopped by this coffee shop and was excited to try it out. The pastries were so good--fresh, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of my visit. However, I ordered a matcha strawberry latte with milk and was really disappointed. It was almost completely flavorless, which surprised me considering the creativity of the combo. I usually wouldn't nitpick over a drink, but when you're spending nearly $50 for three pastries and a latte, you expect the entire experience--especially the drink--to hit. Amazing location, the inside was SO cute with plenty of space to sit and work. The coffee was great, perfectly strong and balanced. The star of the show BY FAR was the gluten and dairy free banana bread. This was the best banana bread I've ever had and as someone who is gluten free it is often hard to find fun yummy staples like banana bread especially at coffee shops. This place is soo cute! The pastries are insane! I actually found this place on Tik Tok so my husband and I decided to go. It was a 10/10! The inside is so cute and cozy. You guys, this place is so cute.... A Flourshop (which shares a space with A Bakeshop) has delicious coffee and baked goods. Lots of seating and the perfect spot to enjoy your coffee. Their syrups are housemade and super yummy. I got an almond biscotti latte with oat milk (no up charge for oat). The gals working were so sweet. It's a lovely spot. If I could give this place 100 stars I would. A Flour shop has me in a chokehold! They are hands down one of my top bakeries in the entire valley!! It is rare to find somewhere that does such a variety of pastries so well-the unique offerings on their menu make it a must try alone! A flour shop is right in downtown phoenix. The shop has a great ambiance inside-very bright, open and airy, with some cute tables and couches hosting those to eat and also several who are working on their laptops. Not only do they serve up pastries, but they also make stunning wedding cakes + have a build your own bouquet bar-what more could you want!! Plus, on top of that, they have amazing coffee and make all of their syrups in house! 10/10! When it comes to the pastries I am not ashamed to say I have tried MANY. Everything I have tried here has been out of this world. Freshly baked, unique flavors that work well together make for great quality pastries!! It's a tough decision, but my favorite pastries I have tried thus far have been their espresso croissant and monkey bread muffin. Both heavenly. Such a fun modern chic place. My family who lives in Az brought us here. Staff is sweet and helped us ordered. Would love to go back and try their other treats. I've been to a bake shop in uptown before and absolutely loved it so I was excited to try a flour shop. All of the baked goods looked so delicious but I didn't get one today! They make all of their syrups in house for their lattes, and they don't charge extra for alternative milks. Big wins there. So glad to have stumbled in here on the way back from Downtown. The place is so cute and there was such a welcoming vibe. The team was so sweet with my kiddos. Spectacular cupcakes and by far the BEST macaron I've ever had outside of France. (We just moved here from Lyon, France, so I feel like we're properly credentialed macaron aficionados). Also, because we aren't in France (god forbid they mess with a classic ) they've gotten creative with shapes and I adore the cactus one. Obsessed. The few ancillary products I did notice in the store were also high quality and obviously chosen with care. (ROC2 coffee for example.) This shop isn't close to us, but this place is worth a drive. MUST try! Warm, bright and inviting atmosphere with pastries that are so beautiful and insta worthy that I can't wait to go back. Food porn. I tried a lavender latte and a cinnamon roll and my taste buds were singing. Perfect. Every sip and every bite. This isn't your average Starbucks latte, this is a latte sent directly from heaven. As much as I wanted to save half of my cinnamon roll for an afternoon pick-me-up, not a single bite was left behind. The staff were so friendly and had plenty of suggestions when I was staring at the display case drooling. They also welcomed my dog with a smile and a treat. I will be back!
