February 15, 2026 - I got the breakfast with egg, ham, home fries and bread. It was a really good breakfast. Nothing special, but no complaints. Standard breakfast meal.

Went here with a few friends, honestly super disappointed... The service wasn't good, the servers were literally sitting at a table. For the amount of money i paid, i expected some decent food, but was super disappointed when the food not only didn't look appetizing but it tasted really bland. Surprising the strawberry waffle tasted great, with it not being too overwhelmingly sweet and a good balance of strawberries and ice cream.

Came here for lunch today, would give it a 3.5 star but I rounded up to 4 since there are no half points. Place is nice and spacious, felt clean. There are games at the side if you want to stay and hang out at the cafe and play a few games with friends. Food came out pretty quickly. We ordered 2 dishes. Chicken and waffles and the mushroom and bacon Benny. Starting with the chicken and waffles, waffles were okay but could have used something, maybe could have been a bit crunchier or with some kind of flavour or twist. The chicken, which is the star of the dish was very good. Seasoned and cooked beautifully, very juicy and nice crispy skin. It comes with salad, which in all honestly seems like those grocery tubs which they put a light dressing. (There was barely any dressing and it felt like you were just eating rabbit food). The mushroom and bacon Benny had great flavour. A very nice sauce and those mushrooms were really good. It comes with the same salad I reviewed in the first dish (blah) and some fries. The fries were okay, but it is definately the frozen ones similar to Costco breaded fries if that is what you are into. Service was fine as the food came quick, would have been nice though if someone at least came to check on you as the place wasn't that busy. I could have used more dressing for the salad. Overall it's a good option and the price point is pretty fair. I don't recall a menu item over $20 I would go again and try some of the other eggs Benny dishes, but hopefully they can do better with the salad

I found this cafe to be such a chill and tranquil spot. Their coffee, brunch, waffles, crepes, and pasta were all fantastic! Definitely worth a visit!

Super cute little breakfast/brunch place! It was so adorable inside and had a wall full of board games you could grab and play for free. Service was amazing and our waitress was very nice! The layout of some of the tables were odd as it was one long table but multiple parties were seated at the same table. Might be awkward if you sit next to someone you don't know. Food: - Matcha: 4/5 stars. Im not a big matcha person but this matcha was good. It wasn't too sweet and the colour was beautiful. They also added cute coffee art ! So adorable - Broccoli Cheddar Soup: 3.5/5 stars. I didn't think it was anything special and for the price of it, I thought the portion would be bigger. It was more creamy than cheddary. Could have used slightly more flavour from both the broccoli and the cheddar. - Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict: 3.5/5 stars. I've had better eggs Benedict. The bread it came on was not toasted which surprised me. I ordered hollandaise sauce on the side and added it to my eggs benny. Personally, it lacked in flavour and I had to add a lot of salt to have some flavour. The fries were really good though. Overall, nice cute place! We played jenga while we were there. The overall place was very aesthetic and the presentation of the food was beautiful but I don't think the price is justifiable for the portion side and taste.

Love the board games, decoration is cozy, weekend is always full, so come earlier to avoid long line up Food is very fresh, seasoned very well One of my favourite brunch spot.

The drinks are fantastic, but that's where the compliments stop. The servers are a bit nonchalant and half-attentive. The actual food is underwhelming at best. The condensed milk toast was decent, but the eggs benny was borderline edible. Everything except the costco fries was bland with no seasoning. The pulled beef benny was probably the worst eggs benny I've ever had. The poached egg was not runny. It was cooked to hard boiled. When I asked for a new runny egg, they kindly made me a new one but it was still overcooked. The server did ask if I wanted them to make me another, but I declined since it wouldn't have saved the dish anyways. The beef had no taste, the egg had no taste, the hollandaise had no taste, the bread had no taste. I could somewhat taste the herbs and spices in the beef stew but without any salt it was just a mushy mess that tasted like water. Even after adding salt and pepper it could not save the dish. There was just barely any flavour or seasoning on anything. It's kind of cool that they have board games, but I wouldn't come back here for brunch if that's the quality of food they put out. The place was also half empty at noon on a weekend if that says anything...

I was looking forward to brunch here because their menu seemed diverse, and I remember enjoying their dessert waffles a few years ago. Overall, my experience here was alright. Starting with the Vietnamese latte, I expected a stronger, more full-bodied roast that packed a punch, similar to traditional Vietnamese coffee. Vietnamese coffee is paired with condensed milk, so the strength of the coffee flavour needs to balance out the sweetness of the milk. However, what I ended up getting was just a very sweet latte, so that was disappointing. In terms of food, the standout was the crispiness and seasoning of the fried chicken. No thick batter, just all crunch. I wish the omelette and waffles were just as amazing, but they were just "ok". I found the waffles a bit dry, even with syrup. Service was fine, but it wasn't particularly attentive or warm. The layout and decor of the cafe is nice though with booth seating and a long shared table in the centre.

Came here and ordered two of their hojicha lattes. Could definitely taste the matcha in it, the drink was on point. Would certainly want to come back to try their waffles.

A nice option to meet up with some friends. The restaurant is quite big and spacious inside and they have a good selection of board games that you can play. They do have a sign on the tables that say that during rush hour they may limit your seating to 1 hour, which is definitely not enough time to start a game. However, despite coming on a Sunday lunch time we never got rushed to leave which was nice. Food wise, it was decent. I ordered the smoked salmon benny, which came with fries and salad. The salad was nicely dressed with a light vinaigrette and the fries were really crispy. The eggs themself was soft and runny but I wish they paired it on a different bread, as the toast was really hard and was difficult to cut. Nothing else bad I can say about this dish but it wasn't quite a wow dish. Price wise it was compariable to other brunch places, and I thought was fair considering they did include a quite a few pieces of smoked salmon and I was really full afterwards. Overall, I would definitely consider coming back. I'd love to try their other dishes and play some games!

We came for an early brunch on a weekday. There was only one other occupied table when we arrived, but by the time we left, there were a couple other occupied tables. There's booth seating on one side of the restaurant, a large communal table in the centre, and small tables on the other side. There are two shelves filled with a plethora of board games. The menu is quite large and comprises dishes like beef chilli, rice bowls, pasta, pancakes, snacks, spring rolls, waffles or crepes, omelettes, toasts, breakfast, and egg Benedict. The drink menu is quite extensive as well. Currently, there are drink specials on weekdays. We ordered chicken and waffles, a pork bowl, coffee, and a strawberry matcha latte. The chicken and waffles come with large pieces of chicken. The chicken was fried so well. The pork bowl was filled with toppings and very tasty. The coffee was disappointing, though; it was weak and watery. The matcha latte, on the other hand, was much better. I loved the strawberry bites included in it.

It's been a while since I've been here (last time was pre-covid). Came here for brunch on a weekend and it was busy. Waited around 10 minutes for a table. I noticed the game boards and kids toys on the shelf to the side of the wall - a great idea, especially to keep little ones occupied. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles and hubby ordered the Pork Bowl. Pork bowl was flavourful, waffles were crunchy but the chicken had more batter than meat. Price point is pretty reasonable for the portion given. Note: the washroom was disgusting. Definitely need to be more on top on maintaining it. Would I come again? Yes - they have a pretty large menu so I'd like to come back again to try other items.

TLDR: Decent place in Markham, some protein portions could be bigger, pasta sauce is incredible, and waitstaff while friendly could be more attentive. In a busy plaza, and parking isn't too plentiful for the number of shops, but fortunately there were several available spots in front of a closed store. Upon entry, there are several formats of tables. Individual/separated tables on the left, booths on the right, and a long/large communal seating table in the centre. We were seated at the communal table and were offered a highchair for our little one. We ordered a few drinks, two apps, and 3 dishes. One of the dishes (pasta) seemed to have been forgotten, and we had to ask for a followup. Fish cake - tasty and great for a snack. Cream of Broccoli - interesting as all the ingredients have very different and not necessarily complementing flavours. Can't say I'm a fan of this one. Smoked Salmon Benny was not mind-blowing, but it wasn't bad. It was served on a basic bread, with fries and salad. Good for a lighter meal. Chicken bowl - tasty bowl, I just wish there was more chicken meat (not a large piece and I gave most of it to my daughter, so I was left with a veggie bowl with egg.) Shrimp, Mushroom, Spinach Pasta w/cream sauce - this pasta was amazing! My daughter had all the shrimp, but I tried some of the pasta. The cream sauce was delicious! I would definitely order this for myself next time. For drinks, my daughter got a grape slush, Americano and coffee for my husband, and I had a tea. Unfortunately, midway through eating, a fly got in the dining area and was walking on my cup (handle and the rim of the cup). Disappointing as I still had over half of my tea left unfinished. Staff were friendly and courteous. Although not super attentive, as I saw another elderly patron waving quite frantically to get their attention.

I was greeted immediately upon arriving and, after struggling to decide because every section of the menu sounded interesting, was recommended their Orange Coffee. It was excellent. The preparation alone was worth watching. Fresh orange slices were coated in brown sugar and caramelized with a torch. A sprig of rosemary was then lightly torched, releasing its oils and filling the room with fragrant herbal aromas. The orange was placed into the glass before what i think was San Pellegrino Aranciata was poured over it. Finally, an Americano was carefully layered on top, keeping the two liquids beautifully separated, and the drink was finished with the rosemary garnish. I was told not to stir it, but instead to enjoy it from the bottom up. The first sip is light, sweet, and gently fizzy before giving way to the rich, earthy bitterness of the coffee. It's a combination that sounds unusual but works remarkably well. The service was five-star from start to finish, and the relaxed atmosphere makes it an easy place to linger over a thoughtfully crafted cup. Not bad, but nothing out of the ordinary, either. But what you really go for is the view of Toogood pond. With a review like that, you'd think I'd rate it higher. So why did I give it only 2 stars? We liked it enough that we tried to make a reservation again. Only now, their policies had changed. You had to make a $25 minimum per person, and on top of that, they add a 20% penalty (what they euphemistically call "gratuity". But it most definitely is not a gratuity, because a gratuity means that it's voluntary. There's nothing voluntary about the 20% surcharge. So call it what it is - a penalty). Because of these 2 extremely dumb changes, we'll never be dining there again. There are plenty of other delicious spots in Unionville (including 3 other Italian restaurants that don't have these practices), that there's no need to tolerate these policies.

It finished with a smooth, almost creamy note that made the whole drink incredibly enjoyable. The only downside is the size-to-price ratio. We did not feel like we were waiting very long. I ordered a pour-over with the Finca El Paraiso Peach Colombian beans, which use a thermal shock washed process. That was something I had not heard of before. The tasting notes listed nectarine, tropical fruit, and caramel, and it was recommended since I was looking for something more out of the ordinary. I enjoyed the wilder flavor profile, but it was hard to fully appreciate because the coffee tasted overly diluted. The barista mentioned she used a 15g to 250g bean-to-water ratio, which is higher than how I normally enjoy my pour-overs. My cousin ordered a flat white with whole milk that was very creamy with strong espresso notes. We also ordered a matcha latte for my other cousin, which was apparently too creamy. Overall, the beans themselves were good, but the pour-over leaned watery for my personal preference. The bag of beans used for the pour-over was priced at $32, which is only a bit more than double the cost of the pour-over itself. In hindsight, I felt slightly ripped off and should have just bought the beans instead.

I had messy fingers just eating a morsel! It has 9 g of sugar, which is practically nothing being fermented. I liked how unique the flavours were. I loved the smell of the lychee bun. I wish it had lychee pieces in it. Instead, it was wine-infused and that flavour overpowered everything. I loved the yeast loaf with Nutella as a dessert option. I nearly picked up a loaf after this event was over! As a parting snack, I got the truffle mushroom one. It was the last one. I love mushrooms. It was super delicious with truffle oil, enoki mushrooms, spinach, garlic, and melted cheeses on top. The bun was soft and perfect. It was such a gourmet bun. I have since returned to get more buns: - Strawberry beetroot - Chocolate arancia The strawberry beetroot bun was fluffy. I decided to cut it in half. To my surprise and joy, it had whole strawberries in it. Wow and yay! I love fruit, but I wasn't expecting so much of it in this bun. I loved it. It was naturally sweet from the strawberries. The beetroot wasn't noticeable in flavour. I feel it added colour to the triangular bun more than anything. The chocolate arancia was equally as unique slicing it in half. This bun had candied orange bits in it. It tasted so good with the chocolate morsels on top and the subtle chocolate flavour in the bun itself. It was delicious. I need to return for more. I have found the buns of my dreams, which sounds odd and funny. It's all true! I paid with a credit card. You can register your phone number to collect points towards goodies. I'll be back. (185)
