I had a fender bender (not my fault) in my immaculate, 2015, 80k miles, mechanically sound Nissan Rogue. My insurance company pre-estimated the job at $5k. Taking their time to do an estimate about a week with the car "A" Auto Body finally completed their estimate. THEY TOTALED THE CAR. Since the car only had a "repairable bump" on it and ran perfectly. Simply put my common sense radar went off and I told them I wanted the car. THEN I received a $2,300.00 approx. bill for my car being parked in their lot while they did the estimate and heard from the insurance company. In the mean time no one in the shop called to tell me I could pick the car up. This is a fee I was unaware and never told by the front desk when checking in ($150.00 per day.) The fee was an additional charge over and above any work on the car included other "charges" for the estimate itself. Their response when I voiced concern about the parking fees was, "The insurance company will pay." My review to other customers: Caveat Emptor - "buyer beware." I went to a total of 4 shops before deciding on one and they were able to give me the best price, the best return date, and by far the best reviews. To me the front office staff and the manager too were very rude and arrogant today (May 2nd 2023). Very little courtesy! I would have taken my business elsewhere but didn't want to struggle with my insurance company again to approach another business. They gave me the impression that they probably are too busy with insurance business don't really care for private party business. They did a good job on my very small paint job. They are not cheap, by any means, fortunately paid by insurance. For private party business, I wouldn't recommend going here. read more

Last year I struck a deer coming home from work which required work on bumper, hood, and both fenders. I'm almost positive monkeys worked on my car while it was here. Panels were misaligned, paint doesn't match, and they managed to nicked the crap out of the paint when pinstripping. What the hell. I confronted the younger manager and he told me, "I don't see any problem. Everything looks fine." I made a scene because there is a distinct dif. between the gap on the left and right fender, not to mention the paint does not match on the right side of my vehicle. Older gentleman then came out and said to me, "You just need to massage the panels, they're soft." They took it in to massage my panels while I continued to argue with them over the paint. Both told me that the paint looks fine. I gave up and called insurance only to find out that this is now between me and the body shop. With over 100k miles on my 09' Accord, let just say it wasn't worth the time and effort for me to fight with these people. I was very happy with A Auto Body. They fast, friendly, and I feel I got a fair price. I'll def go back if I need service.

I have now used this shop 3 or 4 times, and I can't recommend them enough. Last time I was there, they actually saved me money by letting me know certain work recommended by another shop for one of my vehicles was not necessary. Today, I called as I was leaving town because my check engine light came on and I had 3 business trips scheduled this week. They told me to come right in, diagnosed my problem, made necessary repairs, performed a state inspection because I asked if it could be done while I was there, and had me back on the road within an hour and a half. I would pay generously for that kind of customer service and peace of mind, but the bill was lower than I expected. I'm now a loyal customer. read more

My Experience: The fact that your tech got finger prints on the inside part of the sun roof did not upset me. Things happen. What bothers me is that you tried to slip it by me and hope I wouldn't notice. The reason I say that is because the first time I looked up I saw the stain and I'm not an auto body guy. So if I saw it, the logical conclusion is that your folks did too but said nothing until I pointed it out. If you had come to me up front, said we made a mistake and the part is on order, I would have no problem at all. Trying to slip it past me shows a lack of integrity. So, I wrote this on Oct 27. On Oct 29, Tim of A Auto sends me a message and apologizes for the "misunderstanding". He says that they had already ordered the replacement part. Simply NOT TRUE. When I returned the car, he specifically said that they WERE GOING TO ORDER a new part - not that they had done so. Just trying to cover his tracks. Since all this transpired, I found one more thing they screwed up. Took the car to another shop to fix it since I certainly would not trust A Auto do the work. They were extremely helpful with a difficult situation where my vehicle had a rusted frame that broke. The vehicle was purchased from a local dealership as certified preowned 1.5 years prior. A Auto Body went above and beyond looking over the vehicle and offering suggestions. Ultimately I was able to get the dealership to replace the frame for free but it was A Auto that helped me get to the right people at the dealership. Even though they didnt get any of the work for my car they were extremely helpful in solving a difficult situation for me. They even inspected the vehicle for free after the work was completed by the dealership. If I ever need any body work done I will go to A Auto simply for their honesty and helpfulness! read more

My wife have been coming to A Auto Body to complete all of the services on our vehicles for about 4 years now. Before this we did not get our vehicles routinely services like we should have because we could never find anyone that we could honestly trust. We found A Auto Body after someone swiped the mirror off of my wife's Volvo and I needed a body shop to make the repairs. I was surprised to find the shop was very intimate and most of the time you deal with the owner himself. After a great job on the Volvo we tried them with other services like oil changes, radiator repair, brakes, state inspections and tires. We never feel like there was ever any upselling or ulterior motives for recommendations like other shops. When you walk into the shop they remember your name and small details about your car, which goes a long way. We now only take our vehicles to A Auto. read more

I do not recommend this shop to anyone.They gave me an outrageous estimate which I didn't believe it's true.I brought my truck there w/ a buckled hood,one bent fender,one broken head light, broken bumper and of course some bent parts inside.Guess the estimate.It's $6,500 and he said it could be more.The hood $300.00,fender $70.00,the bumper $110.00 and head lights $85.00 for 2 on Amazon.Took my truck to other shop,everything got fixed and new paint job on the whole truck for $2,200.Very satisfied. read more

past. There was only damage to the front bumper and they took 3 weeks to repair this small amount of damage. The inability to communicate with the Chesterfield Risk Management Department caused many delays because of A Autobody requiring multiple changes to their quote DEFINITELY trying to nickel and dime everyone. Chesterfield had to send out three separate payments because they either are not competent at assessing damage or they are trying to rip off whoever is involved. Once the repairs on my vehicle were complete A Autobody Shop would not release car. I had received 97% of the payments from Chesterfield and we were only waiting on the final payment of $391 which they would have in a couple of days and they acted like Chesterfield was going to not pay them. During the whole process I was not impressed with the business ethics of A Autobody. Employees onsite cannot competently communicate and I definitely do not feel like they stayed on top of my repair. They made me feel insulted. I would not take a wagon to these bunch of idiots. I essentially hired to coordinate repairs and payment with Chesterfield and they obliviously are not capable. The story actually gets better. Because I called there to question the staff of way they made such a mess of this and ended up cussing them, because you cannot argue with an idiot but I also posted a few bad reviews and received a call from the owner of A Bodyshop and he was illegally recording the phone call to bait me into threatening him because he was made because of the bad review but the fact that I have identified him and his business as a place to stay away from. For him to have recorder on his phone, he must have a lot unhappy customers and he should know that it is illegal to record phone calls. This speaks volumes. A Autobody uses unethical business practices to take advantage of insurance companies, and others having to pay the bill. They give an initial estimate then come back and say well we did not see that damage so it will be more. My wife's car was at A Autobody just weeks ago and the same exact thing happened. I do not think they operate this way because they do not know what they are doing but they uses this method to generate extra revenue and take advantage of insurance companies. Companies like A Autobody is why our insurance premiums are so high. Truly a corrupt way of conducting business, shady and dishonest. . Now that they have ben identified as such a company, I say let's make an example of them and BOYCOTT them. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this place! The customer service is excellent. Everyone I spoke with had the best attitude you could ask for. I had a horrible time with my insurance company, these guys had my back the whole way. They explained things clearly, gave me advice on how to get things resolved better, anything they could help me with they did. Thier work is excellent, they will not do a bad job. I was recently involved in a multi-car accident and was refered to this shop by my insurance company and some family friends. This place is AMAZING! Not only was I kept updated during the entire 2 weeks my vehicle was there, but, they even completed it a week early! They explained the entire repair process in a way that allowed me to understand what they were doing. When I picked my SUV up it had even been washed and vacuumed. I will definitly recommend this shop to everyone. and they do mechanical work and state inspections. My family has finaly found a one stop shop that is Not a dealer! read more

Poor preparation before painting caused vehicle to be painted three times. Staff actually said all cars have multiple defects to include new vehicles from the factory and that the over 30 defects (debris suspended within the paint) was a normal condition. Vehicle still has paint defects however they are not as numerous as they were during the first inspection. Received vehicle back with aproximately 120 additional miles I didn't drive. Head liner had dirty marks from dirty hands all over and was torn around a rear retaining button when removed. Trim missing from drivers door causing an abnormal amount of wind/road noise. Found new scratches on front of vehicle which wasn't on the vehicle when dropped off. Hood has scratches on the upper edges where the hood was allowed to make contact with the vehicle during reassembly. I could go on but hopefully I've made my point and you get the idea. Will not recommend or use this buisiness again. read more
