Jason the owner was gracious enough to spend a good amount of time with me explaining to me how these warranty companies work and what to look for and what to ask and he gave me a few recommendations. You know it's really nice of him to take the time out of his day to give me all these tips and I'm not even a customer. Just goes to show that this place is really a genuine place to go because they don't have your business and they're treating me this good. he also mentioned whenever you get a used car always come in and get an overall check which is $89. This way you get an out side true review of the car you are buying not just what the dealer is telling you. I never thought about doing that but I can see where the value would be totally with it. Brakes were fine, just dust build up, so no charge and appreciated. However, I was charged $531.95 for the alternator part alone (GM part #20911162), before labor/tax/fees. The same exact part number is available from Amazon ($199.70), GMPartsGiant ($268.81), and GMPartsClub ($318.59) -- all about half off what I paid, even accounting for normal shop markup over retail. Labor ($192) was fair. I wasn't shown itemized part pricing before authorizing the repair. Ask for the exact part number and price breakdown before agreeing to a repair here, or get a second quote. If you don't, expect to pay completely avoidable and unneccesary markups.

OK, I don't normally review places, but had to make an exception…read more I had used them two times previously, once for a new set of tires, which went perfectly swimmingly, fair prices, quick service, all the things you might expect, and once for a quick oil change (which was very quick, by the way, none of this jiffy lube sit forever thing). Both really good interactions, which probably deserved a good review on their own. But what really impressed me was two days ago, I was finishing up some errands at about 2pm before my delivery shift at 5pm. Go to start my car after shopping in the Kroger on Midlo turnpike, all the lights flicker but car doesn't start, indicating an electrical issue, most likely battery. After a kind and helpful fellow shopper pulled alongside and helped me jump my car to get it running, I called Sierra at the front desk and explained that I really needed to make my shift, and could I please drive right there so they could take a look? As I was afraid if I just went back to my apartment, that I'd need another jump to move the car again, and I just didn't have time. They took great care of me. Showed up a little after 2pm with my groceries, which they were kind enough to realize I was trying to keep out of the horrible heat, so they offered to let me put my eggs and other refrigerated goods in their little drink fridge in the lobby! Above and beyond. Took my car back right away, probably jumping whatever line they had going, did some checks to confirm it was just the battery, quoted me a fair price for a replacement that they had in stock which I accepted, and within an hour, maybe less, I was rolling out in plenty of time to make my shift. Fantastic sense of urgency and professionalism, friendly and genuine staff, great service, fair prices. Seriously consider giving them a try if you haven't yet.

They even offer a couple of free loaner cars available for you to avoid interruptions in transportation while your vehicle is serviced. This is one place you won't dread going to. They return the car in clean condition, and you don't have to worry about them getting cigarette smell or other off doors or filth in your vehicle, which I very much appreciate. I went to Paradise Garage twice, once because I needed oil badly for my car (it burns oil occasionally, necessitating refills) and another time for an inspection. When I went for the oil, they happily gave it to me AT COST and without delay, leaving me stunned at their incredible generosity. I made sure to give my inspection business to them as well, and they were quick and efficient about it. In the past, I would usually go to Merchant's knowing I would be price-gouged and given unnecessary service. They are a bunch of honest guys. I once brought my car in for new breaks. However, they called me back and told me my breaks where fine and just dirty. So they cleaned them off and sent me on my way for no charge. What other mechanic would do that? My only advice is to get their when they open first thing.
