Every single time I call them they say they can't do what I need done....no matter what it is! My step father (RIP) took his vehicles to Jeter(sp?) since he opened the place and he would always help him. And me when I grew up. He was just a nice guy that wanted to help. I have not been able to get anything done to my last 3 vehicles and it started as soon as the poor guy was in the hospital fighting for his life. Just not nice people or a good place anymore. No, this garage isn't much to look at, but they do great work! We've been taking our cars to Ronnie for years. Not only are they much less expensive than what the dealerships charge, but they are honest. Ronnie's a straight shooter and may come across as a bit gruff, yet he get the job done! We have serviced a Lincoln, an Explorer, a Suburban, a Honda, a Toyota and several trucks here. We have always been satisfied with the quality and care to our vehicles. We've referred many customers to them. It's best to make an appointment and get there early if you want faster service. My brother took his car there once to have several things he thought needed repaired, and also his State Inspection was due. Ronnie had the car looked over by the mechanic and fixed only what was required. He told my brother some of the things were not needed at that time and some weren't needed at all! He saved a pretty penny! My brother was pleasantly impressed with the assessment, the mechanical work and he said he'd bring his car here again. Ronnie doesn't "nickel and dime" his customers. He knows that a fair and honest evaluation along with reasonable pricing will keep his customers coming back! The "waiting room" is pretty funky and could use a spruce, a good tv and a coffee machine. The magazines are from another decade, lol!! If you are going to wait for your vehicle, I suggest you drive thru Starbucks first, have your smartphone or bring a book. Very honest business! I brought my car there to get the brake pads replaced because another auto repair shop told me that the pads are low and need to be replaced. Turned out that the pads are still good for at least a year. They do not exaggerate or make "suggestion" to repair cars if not necessary. The business honesty and integrity are now especially hard to find in the auto repair service industry and I appreciate the no-filtering advice. Cannot say enough great things about this place. A chain mechanic had looked at my car and quoted me almost $1000 to fix - I called Regency and right off the bat they said that sounded fishy based on the age and mileage of my car and recommended I bring it in. Sure enough, my car only required a small fix (NOT the exorbitant repairs that the other place had said I needed) and I was able to fix my car for only $200. This place is fair and reasonable; how many other mechanics would tell you that something sounded off vs. just fixing to get the money? I have taken my vehicles to Regency tire exclusively since I moved here in 2002. Never any issues, never been up-sold, and always a fair price. Its a mom-n-pop style shop where business is still done with pen, paper and a handshake. It irks me to read some of the reviews here. These are blue collar guys that turn wrenches for a living. I personally have never been treated badly here. However, if you want to pay extra for trained customer service reps and an air conditioned lounge then take your car to a dealership. I don't need those things so I will continue to take my cars to Regency tire. read more

My wife and I went there to get a state inspection and when we got there there was nobody at the front desk so that we could make the appointment. I went to the Bay Area where they were working on the cars and ask a guy if he knew where the attendant was at and he got extremely rude with me and told me in a very loud and disrespectful manner "Why don't you just go back up there and check he was just there." I try to overlook his disrespectful tone and finally five minutes later the attendant working the front came back from a bathroom break and told me that it would be at least a day or two until he could do a simple inspection. I will never go back to the service center they were very rude and they have lost my business! read more

I recently had some major car isssues. My car overheated on the way to work and I was left stranded on a Friday. This place has been recommended by a few freinds in recent years as being a trustworthy mechanic so I called ahead and spoke with Dennis who told me up front that they wouldn't be able to get to it until Monday. Call me crazy, but he just sounded like a nice guy so I told him I was gonna go ahead and have it towed there. Monday morning bright and early, just like he said I received a call with the bad news. I needed a new radiator, he said that he suspected we may need some additional work, but he couldn't be absolutely sure until I warranted them replace the radiator and do some inspecting of the water pump and timing belt, but he didn't want to touch it until he had authorization from me. I asked a lot of questions and he took a lot of time answering questions and explaining what was wrong and exactly what was going to be done and kept asking if I understood. I appreciate that. They replaced the radiator by the end of that day, but upon further inspection Dennis told me that the worst looked to be true and that I would need a new water pump as well and that due to the sheer heat that my engine went up to it literally melted a piece of the cover my timing belt into multiple pieces. With all of this extra stuff they wouldn't be able to finish it until wednesday because they required a special part they could only get from the dealer. Ouch. More time and more money. I again asked lots of questions and again he spent time patiently going through what exactly it meant and how it happens and where the price breakdown happened. Tuesday came and he kept me posted through the entire process, Wednesday came and he gave me the good report, all of the work was done and my car was ready for pick up. I went at the end of the day and they knew who I was as soon as I walked in. Dennis came right up to me and apologized because he knows how hard it is to be without a car but he wasn't able to get the part until Wednesday morning. I thanked him for keeping me updated and he asked if I wanted to see what they did. I said sure, he brought out the completely melted part. He saved it in a box so I could see exactly what was wrong and then began to ask me questions to see about potential warning signs that I may not have picked up on so I would be aware in the future. I really felt his patience and constant communication throughout the process was going the extra mile and I appreciate the time they spent making sure I understood. In the end I left believing that these are trustworthy people and I would take my car here again. I took away a star because of the sheer time my car was there. Although they were up front about it, it was a vey slow process to get my car back, but that is the price you pay for a reasonable mechanic that you trust. Lots of business means you wait longer. read more

Very disappointed. They seemed very nice and were recommended by a friend. A day after having my oil changed there, my oil light came on. I called and told the gentleman who answered the phone that I had just had the oil changed there the previous day and the light came on. His reply was "Well what do you want us to do about it?" I was looking for not just a trustworthy place to take my 2 household vehicles, but we having been shopping around for a new place to use for the 6 fleet vehicles at work. I took my car in on Monday to have two tires replaced. The rear right, and the spare (I have an SUV with a full spare, not a donut, on the back of the trunk). When I went to pick it up today, both the back tires were replaced and in the spare spot was the old, dry-rotted tire that was originally on the right rear. When I brought it up, the good-ole-boy, Ronnie, said that tire was in better shape than the one he replaced on the left that I didn't ask him to. When I told him about the dry-rotting, he ignored me. Then he said that wouldn't cause the tire to lose air. Then he told me that "maybe I should go home and check with my husband about what I should do". Finally, I took him to the car to look at the dry-rot, and his comment was "oh, well I didn't realize it was that bad." I was so furious at that point, I just left with the same dry-rotted tire because I knew I was going to lose my temper after the statement about checking with my husband. Oh, and did I mention the bill was over $260 to replace two tires? If you are a female who knows even a little bit about cars, or just a woman who can take care of herself without "checking with your husband", do NOT go to this shop. read more

Disappointed. Overcharged us on a part (that cost 97$-147$) at parts store to $226; that is about 100% markup (or more). This is in addition to labor, "supplies," etc. on our bill; God only knows *(and the owner) what the fair prices should have been. Seems like he just 'makes-up' numbers to charge you. Could have cared less when we tried to discuss the unfairness. :| Go Elsewhere. read more

I am beyond happy! My alternator went on Friday but I had just had it replaced 97 days ago. The part would be of no charge but I know they only cover labor for 90 days. When they called I had prepared my argument for why I didn't think I should pay for the labor but I was told it was all covered I was speechless. The bill was 49$.(which was for new headlights) Oh boy was I over the moon!!!! Thank you Regency Tire & Auto!!! I recently had an issue with my car not starting. I had to have it towed to Regency Tire for repair. Ronnie, the owner tried to start the car after it was dropped off and it did not start for him. The next morning he was going to have the car pushed into the shop and connect it to their equipment to diagnosis the issue. Just out of habit he tried starting the car and it started. Ronnie continued through out the day to check the car and see if it would act up on him once again. Well after starting it over a hundred times the car wouldn't act up. The next morning I went in to pick up my car and asked what I owed him for his time and effort. Ronnie's response was I did not do anything and that I owed him absolutely zero. I stated that he spent his day checking it and that I felt I owed him something and Ronnie stated he did not do anything and there was no charge. Regency Tire is top notch, honest and will be my choice for years to come. Regency Tire treats customers the way they would like to be treated, fair and honest. I am confident that any other shop in town would have charged me at least $50-75 just for looking at it. I was referred to Regency they have made me a customer for life. read more

I have been taking my car to the shop for 12 plus years for all of my car care needs. At one time I had recommended the shop to my family which included six more cars that were being taken up there for business from my family alone. Last year I took it in there because something was not working and all that they did was replace a fuse and charged me $45. I swore then that I would never take my car back there but because of the convenient location to me I have. I have given them a whole lot of business with my car alone. I scheduled an inspection and dropped my car off the night before and the next day seven hours later they still had not gotten to my inspection probably because they don't get any money from doing that and it takes the shortest amount of time of any repair. When I do get my car back I will never take my car back there again. The people that work there are very nice and I have been very nice to them as well but I'm tired of getting ripped off. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!! There is a reason that they only have two and a half stars on the rating chart. Adios Regency Tire! NEVER EVER AGAIN will I take my car to this shop!!!! If that is how they show their loyal patrons appreciation then I don't want any part of it. read more

spent $120 on a new tire that I removed the rim from my car and dropped it off to try to make it easier on them. they had to order it and I was told it would be ready at 3:00 maybe earlier. when I called an hour before they closed since they had not called me yet I was told that they had just gotten it, were putting it on the rim and it would be ready in 30 minutes. so, when i got there half an hour before they closed (which it was obviously their fault that i had to get there so late) i waited in line to pay and when i asked if they could go ahead and put it on the car i was told they could not because they had already closed the shop down. REALLY!??! you can't stick a gun and jack out under the door really quick especially since it's your fault i had to come so late?? i've worked at an auto shop and it would LITERALLY have taken them 5 minutes. so, i had to get my jack out of my trunk and change it myself in their parking lot. guess what would have happened if i had injured myself on their property doing their job? a lawsuit. and to add the icing to the cake, after they closed, THEY BOTH DROVE RIGHT PAST ME AS I WAS DOING THEIR JOB CHANGING MY OWN TIRE!!!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!! will i give them ANY business and i will make sure no one i know or meet ever will either. i don't know about you, but idiocy and incompetence are definitely NOT what i'm looking for in the service industry, ESPECIALLY when it comes to something as important as my vehicle. what if it was something much more important that they decided to cut corners on and i or even worse my wife got in an accident and got injured due to them being lazy???? think before you make the same mistake i did by giving them my business.... read more
