Just know for starters, I prefer writing 5 star reviews!! I went there yesterday as I am a investor whom buys and sells houses. I Just know, I love writing 5 star reviews a lot more.. I called around looking for a retailer whom stocks carpet. I got a hold of Pat sweet helpful sounding lady whom was nice on the phone, sounded like they might have what I was looking for in stock which was music to my ear's ! I was hopefully optimistic as I am almost done with a complete remodel house and they could deliver by this friday . However as he was quoting prices they were considerably higher than a store I just left. I gave make model color etc and they were going to try to match it on a order but preferred selling what they had which was in stock ( but 1100 more than a deal I had in writing. Art introduced Eddy and they went back and forth and wrote up a proposal and I said i will let them know but 1100 is kind of hard to swallow though I loved there piece and time frame. Then a few hours later while at lunch Eddy calls asking where I am at and if I wanted to move forward . I said gee whiz man I want to but its a lot more money for being able to install friday... .. I said " I will call you when I am done with lunch" as I need to eat on it"! We both chuckled and I ate lunch then called back and offered a counter off. To take 11 boxes of tile same vendor of which they do business with and come down a few hundred and I am ready to go. I know borrring so far :):) Eddy tells me to call Art which I did and his demeanor went from fun " "wheeling a dealing guy I met " to very serious tone" I'm not sure I will do the deal ( I remind him ...we are talking about 300 different on a 5k plus deal and he is getting min 120 ft at a 1.00 a ft tile that all tile shops sell at 2.5 a ft says ok I will do it where can I meet him and ask am I close by? I said no I am working on a house but I am ready to go right now. He says great come over with CASH and we can move forward. I said I have my credit card out , I am ready to give you a deposit to which he said this deal is dying fast ITS A CAH DEAL ! I said perplexed you don't take cards ? He said its Cash I offered to pay a hundred extra to offset his fee's and essentially he rudely ended the call but said as he hung up, he only discussed CASH at his store. I went to my car and found the my copy of the proposal THEY WROTE AND COPIED ME on and it said 395.14 tax on the paper! I immediately called eddy before calling Art back and Eddy said Art said to him remember we talked about Cash ? He said he thought it might of been what Art said when I was there ( I said, it never happened, Art was trying to convince Eddy)...I said to Eddy "you guys gave me the proposal and it say's tax right on it . I asked Eddy if he could show him what he wrote and in NO way did anyone ever mention CASH. I said he maybe hiding his taxes but I pay mine and if I do a cash deal it looks like I am making a lot more on the house when I sell it ( I need to expense it ! Then a few hours later Eddy calls me and said Art said to give him a CASHIERS check or cash to give to the installer when he shows up friday and he will move forward! otherwise deals off! I was insulted and baffled, ... Despite the amazing reviews if you look at the BAD ones . Art is a jerk . Eddy is a people person and I cannot help but believe Arts genus was figuring out how to keep a guy like Eddy. Left to Art he wouldn't be in business! Definitely wouldn't have the positive reviews...and I am still somewhat perplexed at the reviews they do have. But look at the negative ones, you will see ART named . , My head is still spinning on what appeared to be a fun deal that I was looking forward to doing. A & P Flooring is an amazing business. They are professional, kind, honest, and thorough in all our dealings with them. We just had them replace our floor in our townhouse, with plank flooring. Rod, the owner, is very kind, and everything he put in the bid happened perfectly. Eddie helped us with choosing the appropriate type (vinyl, but much better than that), and color, as well as managing the project. Jorge was the installer, and I have never seen a finer craftsman. He filled and sanded the concrete, fixing all the defects the previous installers (2018) failed to do right. When he finished, the floor looked like we could just polish it and be good. Then, he put in the rolled subfloor and with additional workers installed the plank flooring, without a hitch. They replaced the baseboards with better ones than we had before. We are extremely happy with their work, and I would recommend them to anyone, for any job. You can't go wrong with this company. If I could give a six- or seven-star review, I would do so. read more

So happy I chose A&P! The previous company I chose to install my laminate floor did a terrible job and the stairs were coming undone. They looked awful and I decided to carpet them instead. Eddie came out and did an estimate that I thought was fair. A week later and my stairs are complete! They look fantastic and the carpet is way better than the original carpet (and laminate!) I had! I couldn't be happier with this amazing family owned establishment. Do not turn away based on the physical appearance. Once you walk in, you have a plethora of options to choose from! We had three rooms we wanted carpeted. Pat greeted us almost immediately and showed us around. She was genuine and showed us options that would work best and not based on price. Her husband came and measured our rooms and gave us an AMAZING price we couldn't refuse. It was by far cheaper than any other places we went to and we visited at least 4 other places. The installation took a total of 1.5 hours. They were so quick and did an efficient job!!! I love the quality of carpet! I couldn't be happier! Wow! You can't get this kind of service anywhere. I am so glad we used A&P after shopping around at two other stores (Home Depot and Empire). Not only were their prices better than the big stores, the level of service was far superior. We ordered a high-quality carpet that they shipped in overnight and installed the next day. Overall I feel like I got a good deal. $1000 for three bedrooms of carpet, installation, and removal. They also had it in stock and able to install it within the same week which was important to me. I checked out Home Depot first and it was going to take approx 4 weeks to get carpet! Ridiculous. So, anyway, I searched yelp and came here instead. The carpet itself is sooo soft and comfy. Great color and smells good (well, I think new carpet smells good anyway). I subtracted a star because of the installation. They were running late with no phone call (I had to call to find out what was going on after waiting 1.25 hours) and there are a few dings to my paint, baseboards, and doors throughout the three rooms. Slightly disappointed in that but overall still pleased. read more

Went to Lowe's and Home Depot along with several flooring stores looking for some good quality carpet for a motor home we are renovating. All the in stock at the major outlets were low quality and we could not order a small amount of their premium carpet.. The other flooring stores couldn't be bothered. I typed in carpet remnants and A &P carpet sales popped up. I gave them a call and I believe I spoke to the owner. I told him what I needed and he said to come on in and he was sure they could find something that could work. I drove to Longmore and University in Mesa and was greeted immediately by one of the employees that took me to their stock. I found exactly what we had been searching for for quite some time. Done deal. Awesome company . Great employees and owners. They have great stock of hundreds of yards of carpet. The quality of their stock is much better than what is available on site at Home Depot and Lowe's. Use this a mom and pop shop for all your needs. Wish I had known about them before our remodel. WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!! I live a 55+ park had A&P Carpet come in to do my floors that I had waited over 2 years to do. Came in gave very reasonable price, now I know why $3000 for vinyl and carpet. That's because he doesn't stand behind his work. 2 days later when glue was seeping out of the seams, 15 seams in vinyl and only should have been 1, debris under vinyl now showing through. I called him to come look at it, got down on the floor used his car fab to start pushing down seam and telling me I was picky. After 2 days of verbal conversations arguing with me that he wasn't going to replace floor, offered us 1/2 refund $800 to settle, my husband signed a waiver "stating completely satisfied" (first mistake), Now nothing I can do legally to make him fix, but his website states "I'm responsible" YEAH RIGHT. He may give you a good deal, but in the end if your not happy, your S O L. You get to keep his crappy flooring job and look at it everyday to remind you WHAT A MISTAKE you made choosing his company. And he has not been in this family business for 39 years. It may have been owned by someone else but not him. BUYER BEWARE!!!! read more

We were honestly concerned when we found there building was an old gas station and there wasn't much of a showroom. We walked up and got pleasant service, the product looked good and the price was very reasonable. We found a carpet we liked, and it was name brand. We decided to give them a try and glad we did. They came out first and measured to give an accurate estimate for the job. Then, within 2 days, they were back installing our new carpet. The wife and I wanted to redo our teens bedrooms. The house is 15 years old with the original nylon carpet in it. I read some reviews on Yelp and wanted to give the independent local guy a try. I went after work and asked to see what they had. Decent "in stock" product if you want polyester ( short life span ) carpet. Little to no nylon in stock, but they said ordering wasn't a big deal. So we had Art come out and give an estimate for 3 bedrooms and 1 walk in closet. He gave us a good price on some Mohawk Smartstrand carpet. $30 a yard installed. Not bad at all. I looked into the carpet a little more and decided I still wanted nylon. So we came back and looked through some carpet that would need to be ordered. It was clearly priced at $28.29 a yard installed. So one of Art's employee's Eddie found some of the style we wanted and we talked to Art over the phone on a Saturday. He said he would do it for $28 a yard installed. Boom, I said I'll be in Monday with cash.... Monday comes and the wife and I come in after work only to find out that they don't have the carpet available... So Art starts making calls to the rep to get things moving again.. All the time I'm ok with this as I'm not in a super rush I just want a good product at a fair price.. Next day I got a call from Eddie. He says they found 80 yards and let's do this deal.. So I asked for the grand total and Art, who's sitting in the background, says the $30 a yard total..I said wait a minute we already reached an agreement at $28 and that the product price was only $28.29. No way am I going to spend $30 a yard. I ask to speak with Art. Art gets on the phone and say "things changed". I said we already had a purchase price established. I said what changed? He said "the price". No reason, no I'm sorry, no nothing. Just very matter of factly. So I said, "Art, thanks for your time, have a nice day." Why any owner would think they can change a agreed upon price at the point of order is crazy. We had already established a good rapport with them as I had to stop by 4-5 times during this 3 week process. Mind boggling. This did open my eyes to LVT ( Luxury vinyl tile) Amazing stuff. I was in need of large, custom sized area rug for my master bedroom. A&P sold me a 9.5' x 12' carpet remnant, had the edges bound, and applied a pad, and had it ready for pick up in 3 days. The carpet was builder grade, which was fine for what I needed (an area rug to keep my bed from power sliding across the room every time I get into out on new wood floors). I had the pleasure of visiting here last week, I have to say I was pretty impressed with the hospitality of Pat, the owner. As we were looking at the carpet, she brought us some bottled water and was very courteous and knowledgeable. Also, there was a pretty amazing selection of carpet. They really have something for everyone. They have outdoor carpet, indoor carpet, lots of different colors and textures. So many times when you look at carpet all they have is a little sample for you to look at. It's pretty neat to see the massive rolls of carpet, it gives a better picture of what it would look like over a large area. I had my 6 year old with me and he has a short attention span, but he enjoyed our visit here. The prices are better than competitors and the carpet is good quality. We have used A&P Carpet several times. The did the work for our Large 5 bedroom house. We first worked with Eddy at the store and they understood that we were on a short timeline. We picked out the carpet and then one of the owners came to the house that day and did very careful measuring. They actually installed the next day. The carpet is MUCH better than the big box stores and the service ABSOLUTELY exceeded any found at other stores.
