Dealing with Art and Pat was a pleasure. No high pressure, just friendly helpful service. Fortunately, they had the two carpet types we were looking for to totally re-carpet our house (116 sq. yards.). Their pricing is no "smoke and mirrors" come-on you see from others. Their by-the-yard price includes carpet, padding, and installation. We elected to go with a heaver pad than the standard at a higher price than the base price. Art came to our home that same evening to measure and provide an estimate. We signed that night, and installation was schedule two days later. The installers arrived on schedule and went to work immediately. We elected to have them help move and replace our furniture at a reasonable cost paid directly to the installers. They did this with no damage and no complaints even though some our furniture was large and very heavy. Six hours later 116 sq. yards. of carpet was laid, vacuumed and furniture back in place. Re-carpeting your entire house is as bad as a move normally, but Art's guys minimized the pain. read more

I was looking for carpet pad for two area rugs. I was speaking to one of A&P's workers about the different type of pads they had to offer and all of sudden the owner, came out and rudely said, "I don't have time for this!" His worker had to stop what he was doing and accompany the owner. I have never been so rudely treated in my life. Please do not visit this place unless a) you enjoy being mistreated or b) perhaps you have a big enough project that the owner will let his staff speak to you. Art and pat have a great reputation for their business. I came here on a referral. Great prices. Happy, knowledgeable, helpful staff. I brought my in laws here to buy new flooring. They'd already shopped all over the valley and seemed overwhelmed with choices and various pricing and seemingly useless information. We came to A&P and within minutes we all knew we'd come to the right place. The salesman asked the right questions to guide them toward the best product for their wants/needs. We replaced the nasty carpet in our house when we bought it and went with A&P and dont regret it. We called on Friday, got a quote immediately. Looked around and they were the least expensive and seemed to be the most trustworthy. Sunday we told them we'd go with them and by noon on Monday it was installed! Looks great so far and is cozy... Fantastic! Stopped by A & P Carpet one morning to get an estimate to get a room and it's closet carpeted in our condo. Art measured it that morning and installers came the next morning. New carpet tacking, new padding and a dark chocolate brown carpet all installed for only $300 bucks start to finish! The installers arrived at 9 am and were done by 11! I couldn't be happier. A&P Carpets gets a 10 star rating from me. I had never had carpet or flooring installed and was a bit overwhelmed, but Art, Pat and their team made the project easy, fast, enjoyable, and a great success! I began the process by visiting A&P's ample warehouse on University Blvd. I was greeted by Pat, who within minutes had helped me select exactly the color and style of carpet that was ideal for my location. I explained to Pat that, living alone with my son off to college, my first concern was moving furniture and items off the two floors of my house. She assured me not only that the job could be done but that the installation could be completed in one day--amazingly, three days later. I returned home. An hour later, Art came out to measure and quote me a very reasonable and affordable price. The price had included the carpet and all aspects and details of the installation. As promised, three days later the installers arrived on time at 8:30 a.m. It was a two-person crew. Over the years I have arranged numerous contractors who have done work in my house, but never have I worked with any who were more dedicated and professional. They asked for my advice on moving furniture where and when needed. They made me feel as comfortable as possible during the tear-out and installation. They showed great care in handling my items. They kept me informed of their progress throughout the day. They were done by 3:30. Not only did they install the carpeting. One of my baseboards had been damaged. I purchased a replacement piece, and they installed that too. It was so pleasant that I took pictures of the installers and their work and sent them to my son. I absolutely love my new carpets! We called 10 stores looking for stock carpet of 60 oz face weight or higher. A&P were the only ones that have this face weight in stock. They were so kind and with installation it was cheaper than Home Depot even with their "free installation". They were also able to fit us in to get our carpet installed quicker than expected. I went in to see them on Tuesday and had my carpet installed by noon on Friday!! They sent 2 very friendly men and they completed 6 rooms in 3 hours. Quick, clean, and very respectful of my home. They even hauled away the carpet that my husband had ripped out before they came which was a fantastic surprise! I didn't even tell them that it was sitting on the side of the house, they just saw it themselves and took it! We started out with Home Depot due some amazing offers they were running. Unfortunately, they didn't have any inventory and we were on a tight timeline. We had visited A&P a few months back (don't be dismayed by their showroom-it's an old gas station:), so decided to give them a try. They were even recommended by another Carpet Company who had provided us a quote at one point. Bottom line, I called to schedule a measure and Art (the owner) came over within 30 minutes!! That's service! I explained that were on a tight timeline to get carpet installed within 1.5 weeks and A&P was able to schedule an install the VERY next day. Amazing!!! On top of that, we got a late start on the install due to inclement weather and Art sent over several extra guys to get things kicked off and make up some time. His entire team was friendly, professional and the end result....beautiful. I would recommend A&P to anyone looking. read more

Not a good experience. Unreliable and unprofessional. I called in and made an appointment for noon the following day for someone to come out to measure, go through samples, and provide an estimate; fairly standard. I received a call back the same day from an estimator asking if he could stop by on his way home from work to do the estimate because it would be more convenient for him. This did not work for me so I said we should keep the appointment as scheduled for noon the next day. The next day I received a call shortly before the appointment letting me know that they could not keep their scheduled estimate and stated it wouldn't just be 30 minutes or a couple hours later but wanted to do a different day altogether. This was absurd. I told them to just cancel my appointment. If they can't operate with integrity and keep a simple estimation appointment, how am I supposed to have confidence in their work and installation dates? Moreover, I received a call about 45 minutes later from the estimator himself letting me know he was not going to be able to make the appointment I had already cancelled; poor internal communication. Prices are good yes. Lots of remnants along the wall, which is what we were shopping for. We bought a remnant for an area rug and when we got it home and opened it up it was seamed, pieced and we thought it was a full piece. Then we noticed it also had stains all on the back and we figured out it was a used piece of carpet, not a remnant. So just make sure you unroll the remnants to see the quality before you leave the store! They did give us a refund but didn't seem to care that we discovered it was used! We went to another store and got brand new carpet made into a rug for the same price! read more

Where to even begin? We have used them several times but on this last project the level of service and attention to detail Art and Pat put into every encounter is just so refreshing. They are real genuine hard working people who have aligned themselves with contractors who also have the same mentality. But Art and Pat were both hands on throughout the entire carpet selection, measuring the floors and ensuring the contractors arrived on time and prepared. It is such a pleasure to work with them - they are very knowledgeable in their field. Their shop is super busy all the time but how they navigate and give each client attention is remarkable. They have an amazing selection of carpet and wood and allowed us to take samples to the new house to ensure it would work. Nowadays it's very hard to find truly reliable people that you can do business with and at the end of the transaction, be 100% satisfied. Well, that's my experience with A&P Carpet. I had installed carpeting in half my house already by another company called "Carpet World" (avoid them, they simply don't care about the customer) simply stopped returning my calls and I was left with no recourse but to look for someone else to continue the job. In a sense, I am glad it happened this way. I called on a late Saturday morning for an estimate and Art was at my door an hour later ready to give me an actual price. I must say that I was very impressed since I live about an hour away from their location. Art is a true businessman. He did all the calculations in his mind and he gave me a low price on different carpet options. He was very attentive to what we wanted and he was extremely courteous throughout the whole process. He also worked around my schedule and I had the carpet installed on a Wednesday; exactly the day I needed it to be. The installers that came out were professionals and they were very quick. They laid 700 SQF of carpet in about three hours. Foremost, they did an excellent job; it came out exactly the way I had hope for. When I first found this company, I was so excited about the carpet and pricing. Being a first time homeowner, they made it seem easy and completely put my mind at ease. That is, until they showed up to do my carpet and didn't install it correctly not once, not twice, but three times. You know, as they say "third times the charm". I called the owner of the company to notify him about the poor quality of work that was done on my staircase. He did come out that same morning to check the issues and after a brief argument on how poorly the stairs were done, he not only said he would compensate me for my time, but would have his staff come out to re-do the staircase to my satisfaction, if I gave them a good review. The man who came out to fix the carpeting on the staircase made the original job worse. After checking the stairs and seeing that he literally made cuts in the carpet on every single stair, the carpet was already lifting when walked on, and had noticeable gaps between the walls and the stairs, I repeatedly asked the installer to fix the issues before he left. Unfortunately, he did not, but constantly asked if the job was ok as he was in the process of walking out my front door to get to another job. After a second call to the owner and yet another argument over the phone, they sent out another employee to fix the issues with the stairs. Finally on the third time they came out, the stairs were done correctly. As of yet, a month later, I have yet to receive the promised compensation from the owner and have not heard anything from them regarding their lack of customer service. The hassle and arguments over basic installation was stressful and delayed the move in process. I would never recommend this company to anyone looking to get their carpet done. It is worth the extra money to save on time and get the quality of services one deserves. If you want an honest company (owner) that you can trust and stands by what was promised for the monetary compensation and quality of workmanship, DO NOT use this company. read more
