I just returned home from Arizona Tile's outlet yard (just a street behind the main showroom) and let me tell you- phenomenal experience! As soon as I walked in, Tom greeted me and explained in detail how to navigate the area and what stone could be found throughout the lot and their locations. He advised I take pictures of the product number of any slabs I was interested in so he could pull the pricing upon my return to the office. Easy Peasy. I received a map, pencil, UMBRELLA to shade myself from the scorching AZ sun (which was honestly the most thoughtful and above-and-beyond perk I've ever seen) and well-wishes for my hunt, and I was on my way to "shop". I wasn't expecting much luck in my search, as I've already visited competitors; each time, leaving without a slab OR hope that I would find anything of quality or size. Within seconds, I had 3 on my list. After an enjoyable adventure thru the sea of stone, I headed back to the office with plenty of options- and then I saw her- A perfectly sized slab for my closet renovation that boasted a sassy, yet humble confidence without being too loud. Tom pulled the slab up in the system and I was SHOCKED by the price. I don't know anything about granite/quartz/marble pricing and I certainly cannot math what $$/per sqft, even with a calculator. I was expecting at MINIMUM an $800 invoice that I would have paid and more without question (because I'm very VERY over looking for closet countertop materials. Never again.) Color me DUMBSTRUCK with a mighty bargain high when I paid a whopping $112.21 for this piece. I gleefully paid in full, quietly wondering if another "1" was missing from the price. Alas, this was the final price and the "as is, final sale" terms couldn't phase me if they tried at that price point. Thank you, Tom, for being genuinely helpful, wonderfully knowledgeable and refreshingly KIND. You made the whole process easy and painless (dare I say, FUN?!) If only every interaction during an overwhelming time was as delightful, I wouldn't dread the tasks ahead. ***I'd like to share something of another topic. (Nothing to do with Arizona Tile.) A complaint about Quartzite Mustang. We loved it and had it installed in our house last summer (in CO), by a local business here. Within a month, it developed a large stain from cooking oil right by the stove, plus it developed brown rings around 3 of our sink faucets. The business here tried for months to remove the stains by applying different poultice products. The stains "bloomed" and became worse with time. There were also rust colored stains, that using a concentrated product did remove almost completely. See photos of stains on Quartzite Mustang. ***This is the reason we went shopping and found granite to be installed instead and soon! (We've had granite in two other homes and loved it.) read more

Selection is fantastic, Melissa helped us and she was fantastic taking the time to answer all of our questions. We even got to pick out our favorites and bring home samples to see what looks best in our home. I definitely recommend this business. Went in and purchased 2 slabs of granite this morning with a friend. She paid in full, not just a deposit. Our customer service rep, John was very kind. He took us to the counter to pay. The man who rang us out was absolutely awful. We're there just to pay. The entire time, he glared at my friend. Incredibly nasty looks. I was stunned. Spoke to her in an incredibly condescending tone. I attempted to lighten things by being light hearted but he just glared at me. She handed him her debit card to pay. Very rudely, he told her the card declined. She used the debit from another account and it went through. How did it decline when we went right to a store after, used the same card and it went through perfectly. I feel as though he was just trying to embarrass her. Please, Arizona Tile, teach your counter staff to be a bit more kind and not jerks. read more

Funny story about why I even had my bathrooms remodeled. My friends came in from Washington and ended up having too much fun one of the nights. I saw my friend's husband walk into the bathroom and immediately heard a loud bang. I came running in to find that he had fallen into the shower and hit his head. His fall made a 6-inch crack in the fiberglass wall (he's completely fine, by the way, lol). After that, I decided that was it and had the bathrooms remodeled. I finally had an excuse to do it, right? I knew I didn't want another cheap fiberglass wall and tub, so I opted for quartz. I went to Arizona Tile and picked out everything in a matter of minutes. The customer service was great; the minute I walked through the door, I was greeted and asked if I needed any help. In the future, if anyone accidentally breaks something in my house--cough, cough, hopefully my kitchen countertops are next--I'll be back here to pick them out hehe. read more

We are building a new home and our builder uses Arizona Tile for their projects. We are familiar with Arizona Tile as we used them in a recent major remodel of a home we sold. We received noticed that we needed to go pick our slab for our countertop. We made an appointment for several days later at 3:30 PM to look at the slabs. At 3:28 PM, as we were in the parking lot of Arizona Tile, the slab department called us and asked if we were on our way. After confirming that we were already there, they informed us they did not have slabs for us to look at and we would need to come back. Since I was walking in the door, I walked in and spoke to Kurt. He explained that he only had three slabs, not of the same lot, and at least one was cracked so it wasn't worth looking at. So our appointment was all for not. He ordered more and told us it could be two weeks. We later received a voicemail indicating that slabs were in. We responded to the email asking if we could go in that day. We also called. We were told in both email and on the phone that we could but that we would be a "walk in" and may have to wait for a sales rep since we didn't have an appointment. We didn't want to further slow our build so we went in. What we were met with was being questioned why we were there and then sent away. Upon arrival, we spoke to Nathan at the slab desk who spent more time questioning why we were there in the first place than attempting to help us. After signing in, he indicated we could have a seat and "there might be coffee left." Not that we needed it but ok. As we sat and waited, we could hear Nathan speaking about us and saying to someone "Supposedly someone said they could come in today" referring to us. He clearly didn't believe we should be there. Shortly thereafter, we were met by Allison who immediately asked us to come back the following day as they were 1. short staffed 2. it's hot outside 3. they need to focus on safety and 4. they couldn't get to the slabs today. She further noted that it appears there was miscommunication about us coming in. When we said we emailed and called receiving confirmation we could come in, she said, "you must have been persistent" insinuating we were pushy and demanded to come in which was completely false. We asked for a supervisor and she argued with us that he wasn't available. They didn't want us there. Because Arizona Tile is only open M-F 8 to 5, we could only take time off work (for a third time) the following Friday for an appointment. Arizona Tile has great selection and a big showroom, but it is disappointing how their miscommunications were turned around on us. We emailed the General Manager and the generic email we had been emailing. A Customer Service rep apologized but the General Manager never acknowledged the issue or responded. I think that says a lot. In the end, we were worried in building delays, we lost faith in Arizona Tile attempting to deliver on a third visit and selected another product that didn't require looking at a slab. It cost us an additional $3,000. read more

What a fantastic experience my wife and I had during our recent visit. We've been to AZ Tile a few times. We were greeted by friendly people, were offered good guidance and we went out to look at slabs in the warehouse, had a great conversation when we were done looking at slabs, had a few laughs with the AZ Staff as they gathered the sample quartz that we asked for - all really great experiences. Then as we were looking at tile, etc. my wife asked one of the Associates if we could get some help. Julie offered to help and all I can say is that my wife and I were very, very happy with Julie's helpful attitude, advice, suggestions - Julie was fantastic!!! We ended up selecting our backsplash tile & grout; the special tile for behind our cooktop and exhaust vent; our flooring grout (we already selected the floor tile), the Schluter edges, etc. What a great experience working with Julie - THANK YOU Julie for helping us - we are very excited to see our new kitchen in the coming weeks!!! Nice selection of tile and not over crowded store. Lots of visual samples for ideas. Not always easy to get samples. If you order not in store pieces they do usually come within 1-2 weeks. Their hours could definitely improve, it closes early during the week and specially Saturdays, closes way too early so it's hard for working parents to make to the store. The store is large and very organized, I appreciate that the most. Not very cool return policy. I purchased more than what we ended up needing for our remodel. Our contractor took double the time initially agreed, once we had left over tile AZ tile said they could not accept return. So silly as they still sell same product. We purchased over 10k in tile from here over our remodel and wanted to return about $250 worth of leftover that was all still in original Boxes. I would give 1 star for the return policy- if the store didn't sell this tile anymore I would understand but they do still sell it. Most of the staff we have interacted through time are nice but some could do with a little extra cust serv training and being kind. I do love the tile I got from them but looking back I wish I had gone somewhere as I was later able to find same pieces at better price at their competitors and better return policy. For my future remodels, I may come here for ideas but may not consider purchasing again. After reading some of the reviews here, I feel that some of them may be fake, just FYI for future customers. read more

Our contractor bought (and charged us for) too much tile, didn't finish the job, and ghosted us. Arizona Tile wouldn't take back the extra tile because it had been longer than a month. So now I have about 375.00 worth of tile that I can't do anything with. The woman at customer service was so rude. She basically said, "Your problem not ours. We're not taking the tile back." Visited Arizona Tile 8/18/23 to look at tile for a bathroom remodel. It was a little busy when we walked in, but only for the first 5-10 minutes. We were there for about 20 minutes - no one and I mean absolutely no one greeted us or offered to assist. The showroom has an amazing selection of tile, stone and countertop materials and the displays definitely showcase the products. It's unfortunate the customer service is so lacking. Found a quartz countertop I loved and was told it would be held for 2 weeks even though the order acknowledgement said 1 week, not to worry because I didn't have cabinets installed yet. Went in on a Saturday with my niece to find a countertop slab for my sister's house in Show Low. Curt worked with us the entire time. He was patient as we sent pictures and spoke to my sister over the phone trying to find the right slab. He was very thorough in that he would verify the sizes and availability for the pieces we thought would work. We finally found one that she liked, and he drew up the paperwork for us and sent a copy to the contractor she was using up in Show Low. He made this a very easy process for us. I feel like AZ Tile had a good selection to choose from for granite, quartz and also flooring. Their showroom was amazing! What separates a great company from the rest of the competition is customer service and how they handle and mediate problems that may arise. Do yourself a favor and make sure you choose to go to a reputable brand and company when working on a serious remodeling project. I chose to pay a premium for the products and services at Arizona Tiles for that very reason. It's been quite the journey. There were some defects on the slabs used to build out the waterfall island and countertops that were not discovered until the entire installation was completed. It's unfortunate, but sometimes problems do arise during a remodeling process that is out of anyone's control. I called and expressed my concerns to Arizona Tiles and was linked up with Gary who immediately hopped on the case with NO DELAYS. Within just a few hours, he drove to my house to inspect the newly installed countertops. Unfortunately, the defects could not be eliminated. He reassured me that everything was going to be okay every step of the way and appropriately handled the situation extremely quick. Long story short, Gary was able to take care of everything and replaced the whole kitchen at absolutely no extra cost to me. It definitely was not cheap and I'm sure he had to go through a lot of trouble to work things out, but regardless he was still able to pull through for me and did it all with a great attitude without pointing fingers or putting anyone at fault. The man is a miracle worker. Everything eventually worked out and that's all that matters at the end of the day. The process of selecting granite slabs (this being our first time in doing so) was almost overwhelming and Eileen at the Tempe Showroom made the process much more pleasant. In fact, she was fantastic! Eileen noticed the look on our faces the first set of slabs were not what we expected and were frankly a bit disappointed. However, she empathized and brought out 2 more sets before we finalized our decision/choice. She even offered to order more slabs if we were not 100% satisfied. They sold me a slab that was impermeable but yet I have 2 stains with blotchiness and Arizona Tile wants to blame the fabricator. Here is their process... you talk to a manager who by the way you have to call several times before he calls you back (Dean) he argues who's at fault then to appease the customer calls out a restoration company who then turns to the customer for payment to get their slab corrected because Arizona Tile is passing the buck! Don't believe quartz cant get stains. They are lying to you when they tell you that. If you make the mistake and buy it then you have to deal with Dean (quartz manager), who's a real charmer. Don't make the mistake I did and take my advice and go to reputable company who stands behind the product they sell. read more

I bought $300 worth of grout paint several months ago from Arizona Tile. After meeting with a grout cleaning company I decided to get my grout cleaned and not paint the grout. I called AZ Tile and asked if they'd give me a refund minus a re-stocking fee as the bottles were never used. They would NOT do it and said the color may have change. Complete bs...the bottles were never opened. I've spent money there before too but never again. They lost me for good. They could have taken this product back and were simply unwilling to do it. We needed to select granite for our kitchen upgrade. I was given a hard hat and a clipboard and as encouraged to take photos as I wondered around the showroom and warehouse. I selected like 12 different types, and they were nice enough to give me samples of all of them! I finally selected White Ice, and for such beautiful granite the price was amazing. She asked pertinent questions without bias. At home I reviewed her questions and realized only one slab choice was right. On my second visit with my husband she was helpful and had the slab pulled again for my husband to review. She then thoroughly reviewed our order as well as the order we placed a few minutes before from the discount lot. The figures from that order were questionable so she took it upon herself to call and inquire. I appreciated that. At final payment, I believe she was still perplexed so she called the discount lot again, on her own doing. It appears she was right to be perplexed. However, that is another issue. Lori's knowledge and customer concern are impressive. Additionally, her office skills and work ethics are exceptional.
