They didn't know what they were doing

The worst movers ever! They took 4 1/2 hours to move 12 items. I finally told them to leave at 4 hours and they remained on my property. I felt so uncomfortable. My new white couches are damaged. I would NOT hire them at all. Be cautious! Apparently per Juan they were sub contractors. The invoice wasn't right from the beginning that should have been my first red flag. Do not book with Juan, Jay, Jared or Marcus, these are not PROFESSIONAL movers.

The movers piled alot of weight ontop of this causing the legs to buckle. Everything on top came crashing down in the moving truck!!

So, I had a crew of 4, team lead was Dominique. I meet them at my storage unit, signed papers and discussed a few things w/ Dominique. I left as I had to sign my lease pay my deposit etc before these guys showed up at the apartment. I then went back to my storage, Dominique and I walked my storage unit to see what was left to load in the truck. I saw my marble top buffet table standing on 4 legs and a few other boxes. I got everyones lunch order and left to get us all lunch. Came back and the truck was loaded up. They ate lunch then meet me over at the apartment. I had gone to get them a case of water. In the meantime I called Dominique to tell him where i wanted my buffet table and that all the boxes where labeled for correct room placement.. When I came back I walked into a room full of boxes in the middle of the room, there where boxes on my patio and in my patio storage. There was no organization. I saw my buffet table was where I told him to put it however, it wasnt upright. Instead it was laying top side down with the legs up in the air. I didnt have time to address that as Dominique was saying we are running out of room to put more boxes. So I had to organize, carry, and stack the boxes into the correct rooms. Upon stacking the boxes against the wall I saw a piece of broken ceramic of which I placed on the bar counter. ...after I paid for the move , left a good tip, and everyone was gone. Eventually I started unpacking. I walked over to my buffet table and saw one of the legs had a huge crack in the wood, I touched it and the leg fell off. I then touched the other legs and same thing happned. 3 legs fell off my marble table. THIS IS Y THIS PIECE WAS STILL ON ITS BACK! NOONE SAID ANYTHING TO ME ABOUT THIS DAMAGE! I then saw a lamp, wrapped in clear plastic wrap, sitting under a table. First of all this lamp was part of a set. Second I packed both lamps in a big sturdy box with lots of padding. So why am I seeing one lamp not in the box I packed them in and wrapped in clear plastic wrap that was not my doing? I realized the piece of ceramic I found was the other matching lamp. I then started looking around and I noticed my boxes were smashed and clear tape was wrapped around some of the boxes to hold the contents in the box...i called a1 movers to report the damage, so far. Long story short, these idiots put my marble buffet table in the truck on its feet. Then piled alot of weight ontop of this table causing it to buckle in the truck. Everything on top came crashing down. Thats why the boxes are smashed, and my pottery, lamps are broken and my marble table has 3 legs that completely broke off and the marble top is cracked. THE NEGLECT AND INCOMPETENCE THAT WAS DISPLAYED BY NOT ONLY THE MOVERS BUT BY JUAN THE OWNER WAS ABSOLUTELY DUMBFOUNDING. There was more damage that was done as I unpacked. Moving forward Juan the owner "wants to make this right by me" as he proceeds to tell me about the .60/lb liability. Except Juan doesnt know his own policy as the policy states "....UNLESS THE DAMAGE IS CAUSED BY ONE OF THE MOVERS, then they are only liable for .60/lb in damages." Guess what Juan you have alot of damage on your hands. Anyway I didnt know that information when all this happend. So at this time the "claims adjuster" comes to my place. He shows up with wood putty and wood glue to fix my the legs on my table. This guy is someone who works for A1 movers and got promoted to claims adjuster per our conversation. He doesnt actually work for an insurance company. He glued my 3 legs onto the table and was to come back the next day to finish the job, he no showed, no phone call, no txt.....2 weeks go by and Ive been txting him of when he is coming back over.. I finally get a txt from him telling me he has been in the hospital etc. Then I discovered the claims adjuster glued the legs to the wrong corners of the table. Now my table isnt very sturdy.......Whatever, Im done dealing with this shady company. Ive disputed the whole move with my bank, provided evidence. My bank will ACH the money from A1 movers and then I will sue them for all my damages since a1 movers are responsible for all the damages due to thier incompetence and neglect of not being professionals and knowing thier job. Then I will take them back to court for my lawyer fees. Just think Juan had you put your big boy pants on, took responsibility for the incompetence your movers displayed, and involved yourself, like an owner with integrity does. This situation could have gone a different direction.

There are professional thieves. They will steel a lot of your stuff. Be careful. They stolen my a lot of ammunition, my gun magazine and a lot of other stuff . I'm going to file a police report .

I had the worst experience of my life ever working with this company. It took the team 8 hours to load my belongings. The mover lied and said he loaded my tires and never did. They brought things to my new house I asked them not to take and left a ton of my things behind yet when I asked him he had no recollection if anything was left. They didn't even go back in to check. When they got to my new place they just threw my couch pillows on the dirty ground so I went and picked them up. All of my every expensive mirrors had broken pieces, my brand new chairs were all scratched up, my brand new bed had damage to the wood, my new coffee table was damaged and bases were broken in my box. One of my boxes came up missing with 10k worth of brand new clothes. They kept leaving my items on the elevator and people were riding the elevator with my things in n their possession. I spoke to the owner and he did give two hours off, but his staff left a bunch of items behind. Finally the next day I was waiting on my items the owner promised would be picked up by 9 am to tell me he couldn't and tried to brush me off another day. Wow terrible business. I told him so it's guck me then correct? It's not my problem he can't find reliable help. He then got in touch with another crew at which I was waiting yet another day to get my things and I finally got them around 7pm. Nothing was streamlined, complete chaos. Then I had to file a claim and here it is Tuesday and my move was Friday. They don't care about any of my damaged items and offered me .60 cents with the weight of my items. Unbelievable. They destroyed my items didn't even wrap 95 percent of them lost 10k worth of brand new clothes with tags on them and basically tell me I lied. Here is their claims guys response. We checked in with our inventory manager to see if anything was left behind the following day. We also double checked our cameras and we didn't see the movers leave with any box. So let me get this straight, it's okay to lose someone's things, damage brand new furniture per the owner and I just have to deal with it? So disrespectful and unprofessional. I sent claim pictures to the owner and two additional people to have to turn around and send them again. Why even ask for the damages if they don't communicate between each other. This is by far the worst moving company and people are lazy and not trained properly to handle your items. FO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER! You will REGRET IT! I entered a contract with ABC Movers Dallas for 4 movers and 1 truck/s, at $185/hour and a $100 deposit to move me from 4016 Catfish Creek, Prosper, TX 75078 to 2200 Dr. Sanders Road on 8/28/21. Before my move date, I received a call asking if I minded multiple trips. I specifically said I do not want multiple trips. On 8/28/21, 4 movers came with a surprisingly small truck and began moving at 9:22am. The truck did not have a lift in the back to assist with getting the refrigerator, heavy Kamado Joe Grill and my 75-inch Sony TV in the truck. Around lunch time they told me the truck was full and they needed to make an additional trip. Before delivering the first load to 2200 Dr. Sanders Road, the four-man crew stopped for lunch. They were gone for 1.5 hours. The 4th person never returned. My contract stated 4 men and a truck at $185/hour. They unloaded the first load and then two men returned to 4016 Catfish Creek, Prosper TX to finish loading the large items such as the heavy the Kamado Joe Grill, the 75-inch Sony TV, the refrigerator and a handful of other inventory items. The third man stayed at 2200 Dr. Sanders Road to begin assembling the beds. The 4th man never returned to the job. After a full inspection I realized: 1. I was missing a large decorative vase that went with two others (Exhibit A). I have a bad hip and was not able to go onto the truck and inspect it before they left to see what had been left there. 2. My Sony 75-inch TV was shattered (Exhibit B). The men did not wrap it, nor did they put the blankets on it when they loaded it. All they could say was "Ma'am we have another job to go to after this one". 3. My Kamado Joe Grill was so damaged that I could not even open it (Exhibit C). 4. There were scratches and dents on my GE Profile Refrigerator (Exhibit D, E and F). 5. There were scratches on my dining room table (Exhibit G and H). 6. They did not take the legs off my desk when they moved it. My desk later collapsed, and I had to have it rebuilt. I disputed the moving charges paid through HSBC credit card company. A#1 Movers responded to the HSBC dispute by providing a Contract for Service document that I have never seen, nor did I sign. There were no documents signed by me prior the move beginning. My original contract was with ABC Movers Dallas. I found out A#1 Movers were involved when they provided a response to my HSBC Complaint and HSBC forwarded those documents to me. In addition, A#1 Movers denied any damages had occurred after I provided pictures of the damages to ABC Movers Dallas. The damages above are estimated to be around $4,500.

$1200 couch ruined on every corner.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE MOVERS!!!! Our entire experience from the very first text had started bad and ended even worse. We were given an "accidental" incorrect quote per hour to begin with and management said it was a mistake and refused to honor that pricing. Decided to give them a chance anyways due to limited availability. Well that was huge mistake. They ended up showing up an 1 1/2 hour later than the latest arrival time frame that was given. After texting multiple times saying "about a hour out" (making it 30 mins late-no problem). To "we are on our way now so another 30 minutes" (now an hour late). To finally the entire 1 1/2 hours. Due to this timing delay we moved everything we physically could to the garage to help speed the process along. We were quoted to have 3 guys to help move our items and they showed up with 2 worn out, slow and careless guys instead. WE DID MORE WORK THAN THEY DID! Instead of taking our large electric reclining sofas apart they wrapped both of them 1 time with the thin plastic wrap and decided to shove them through the door to save time. This resulted in both pieces of furniture being ripped on every corner, back, and edges. Not to mention standing them on end and SLIDING them across the wet truck floor by one struggling guy by himself. They did not wrap any furniture in blankets like we were told they would do to help protect furniture. If they "wrapped" them it was only a single time with plastic which was pointless. EVERY single piece of furniture they moved resulted in damage because of their carelessness. Sofas, bed frames, bookshelves, entertainment center, brand new fridge and dressers completely trashed. Oh and they used our personal packing tape since they ran out or were too lazy to go see if there was more. Left trash all over the house from empty plastic wrap rolls to tape rolls. Would have left their tools if I wasn't nice enough to bring them out when they were about to pull away. Don't bother labeling your fragile items because they will not look at this either. Fragile boxes ended up upside down and stacked with heavier boxes on top causing them to collapse. Almost all of our boxes had fallen over in the truck due to poor stacking. Quite a bit had ripped open when they were trying to move them off the truck into the house due to them being drenched. Not sure why they couldn't have backed the truck up closer to the house to help protect from the rain. They didn't even plan out enough room in the truck to be able to fit all of the items needing to be taken. So we had to rent ANOTHER truck to do this the next day. After we started looking at the furniture and seeing all of the damage we were then told no one would be able to call us back for another 2 days. I sent all of the photos of damaged items to a number that supposedly could be seen by all of management. Still hadn't heard anything by 2 days so I had to reach out to get ahold of the claims manager myself. What a joke. He briefly discussed what would be covered with their insurance and that they will get a claim together and reach back out. 3 weeks later and NO CALLS HAD BEEN RECEIVED. So yet again we have to call to see what is happening. Come to find out the photos haven't even been viewed yet (he said they haven't received them, which he finally ended up actually looking and did) and no claim had been filed. After stating "how do you expect me to file anything if I have no model numbers". Well, that would be because YOU never called me. Seriously this is the biggest waste of money, time and energy that I have ever experienced with a company. Save your furniture and go with someone that can actually care for your items like they would their own.

I chose Firehouse Movers because of their glowing Google reviews, and their initial estimate was very competitive. Unfortunately, the final bill was a complete shock. To begin with, they insisted on a virtual estimate and refused to come out in person and assess the job. This was a 5000 sq ft home full of furniture, and I wanted the most accurate estimate possible. I asked multiple times for an in-person estimate, but my requests were declined. By moving day, I had sold two-bedroom sets and several other large pieces of furniture that were included in the original estimate. Even with significantly fewer items to move, the final price was more than double the original estimate. On the day of the move, I somehow went from needing two trucks, as stated in the estimate, to four. And from 9 to 17 total man hours. At the end of a long day, my husband just wanted them gone, so he reluctantly paid the bill before they could log anymore hours. When I called to discuss the bill, Firehouse claimed I had verbally approved the additional associated costs over the phone, citing a recording, which was completely false. I have asked multiple times for this recording, but I have not received it. That was not a small miscalculation. Our move was grossly underestimated. This whole experience felt misleading and dishonest. Stay away.

You know how apartment moving goes.. some times, your unit isn't exactly how you imagined it to be and there are corners and curbs you don't expect to be there on the day of the move. WELL! They brought the couch all the way downstairs and Jonathan had this idea to remove the door to create more leeway. And what do you know.. it worked!! We got 2 young guys who didn't seem very well trained on best moving practices nor were they very well prepared in materials. They didn't have any mattress bags nor enough saran wrap to protect our mattresses or headboards. Luckily we had bags and bubble wrap left over from our last move so we used that. They were also going to use the dirty moving blankets to wrap our mattress but we asked them to use saran wrap, which they did but they ran out of saran wrap and left half of our mattress exposed during the move. When moving our consoles and couches, they also packed them into the truck so that the 4 legs of the heavy furniture would bear the brunt of the traffic movement. When we first moved out here, the other company took the legs off and laid the furniture on the side, effectively spreading the weight across the entire console instead of focusing it on the legs. I had to ask them to do the same thing because I didn't want to risk ruining the furniture. When it came time to move the mattresses into the new house, they dragged it over the mud and ripped the bag, and if we hadn't caught that, they would've brought the muddy mattress bag inside. I hate to micromanage but I feel like if I didn't, our furniture definitely would've gotten more damage / mud / dirty than it should have. The young guys seemed to work hard, but they were woefully untrained and ill prepared for the move.

All documentation was provided on time, and the movers arrived as scheduled. I had my items moved from Los Angeles, CA to Dallas, Texas in a POD. Unfortunately, my TV was damaged during the move (unclear if it was from the POD, but I doubt that since the TV was against the king size mattress). One of the movers later stated that he had noticed damage to the TV box when he unloaded the tv from POD but did not bring it to my attention at the time, which was very disappointing. However, the owner Joey, took the situation seriously and handled it with genuine empathy and accountability. I was extremely frustrated from the move (it's really a lot to handle) and Joey was kind and patient as he listed to me explain what happened. He suspended the team member involved, made it clear that he wanted to put the customer first, and worked with me to make things right. After I provided the original receipt for my TV, he sent me a check for its full original purchase price and did not waste time to go through insurance. I didn't buy additional insurance, so at most if Joey had went through insurance, I would have received $40/$50 back for my tv at $0.60/lb. He said he wanted to make sure we reached an agreement that felt fair. I truly appreciate Joey's customer first mindset. Although the damage was frustrating, I greatly appreciated how Joey responded. He's been in business for 25 years and stated that accidents happen and what he cares for the most is customer satisfaction. His integrity, compassion, and willingness to stand behind his company ultimately left me with a positive impression. AB Moving is affordable, and Rovin's team of 3 was efficient, professional, and fast. I also appreciated the communication throughout the process. I received a text letting me know they could arrive earlier than scheduled, which was a blessing, and I also received a call before their arrival. Overall, the experience was smooth and stress-free.

I hired AB Moving for a one-day move from my previous home to my new residence. Before moving day,…read morethe company had the opportunity to assess the size of my home and determine what equipment would be needed. Despite that, the crew arrived with only one truck, which was not large enough to complete the move. A significant portion of the day was spent searching for a U-Haul, and the one they rented was also too small. The movers repeatedly pressured my husband to transport our belongings in our personal van because they did not have enough truck space. As a result, the one-day move I paid for became a two-day move. During the move, my Lovesac AnyTable was gouged and chipped, my refrigerator and other belongings were scratched, and the hardware needed to reassemble my refrigerator was lost. Because the refrigerator could not be put back into service until the end of the second day, the refrigerated and frozen food we had carefully packed spoiled and had to be discarded. The movers also failed to place many boxes and furniture in their designated rooms. Instead, a large amount of our belongings was piled in the garage, requiring us to move many heavy items into the house ourselves after the movers left. I submitted a formal claim, and AB Moving sent a representative to inspect the damage. He stated that replacement refrigerator parts would be ordered and that he would return the following week to complete the repairs. It has now been over two weeks. Despite multiple phone calls, emails, photos, and receipts that I have provided, my calls have gone unanswered, the repairs have not been completed, and I have received virtually no communication regarding my claim. I am requesting that AB Moving complete the promised repairs, compensate me for the documented damages and spoiled food, and properly resolve my outstanding claim.
