Super low key spot on 4th. The place is super clean, minimally designed but cute. Street parking but it's not bad even around 5pm on a weekday. The service was great. Our server was very kind and the food came out quick. That's not expected and it's a huge plus. Tofu banh mi is fire. Boyfriend rated his beef pho 9/10. Egg rolls were soooo good, especially wrapped in lettuce with the pickled carrots and daikon Happy hour was all day on a Monday, $4 Sapporo's and beer and wine Overall an underrated spot in LB that is going to be in regular rotation from here on.

#9Pho is an excellent reminder to never judge a book by it's cover. Although I would describe the storefront as quaint, the food and service are A1 and exceeded all expectations. I ordered a Grilled Chicken and Rice Bowl ($8.99) with added mushrooms ($2.50). The order total was $12.67 including tax, which felt like a steal for the flavor-packed meal they served. Not only was the portion size enough for two meals, but it came within 5 minutes of ordering and was freakin delish. The energy inside #9 was peaceful, with a surprisingly spacious interior with booth, table, and bar seating. I would recommend #9 for lunch or a casual date night. Overall, I had a very positive experience and look forward to returning to one of my new favorite spots in Long Beach.

Some of the best Pho in Long Beach, and definitely the best vegan pho. This is the only Pho that my wife will save the broth and heat it up the next day with more noodles and veggies. Every other place she is happy to toss it, so hats off to amazing veggie broth. The spring rolls here are awesome as well, they have both regular with shrimp and vegan spring rolls. I normally get the rare brisket Pho but I recently tried the curry pho option and that one was quite good as well. The banh mi sandwiches were just ok. I wish the bread was better and crispier on the edges rather than soft, so I stick to the pho. Also, I really wish they used ceramic bowls instead of the paper ones. It must make sense financially, but it just seems wasteful and I prefer the feeling of eating out of real dishes. Other than those things, it is really solid and the best vegetarian Pho broth in Long Beach imo.

WOW really enjoyed my visit here ! I was doing laundry next door was starving & decided to check it out . Super clean and very nice looking inside , aesthetic on point ! The fellas in here were super nice ! Definitely enjoyed the service here . I went with the veggies egg rolls , the beef bowl , & the fellas were nice to mix some Thai tea & Vietnamese coffee for my drink . YUM , loved that they explained how to eat the egg rolls , have always enjoyed this style of egg rolls for the extras making a little egg roll taco. OMG the beef bowl was amazing ! Super tasty & ugh i loved the onions ! I think this a moat check out spot ! Will forsure be back . Regarding the parking I'm pretty super it's a bit scarce as it's on 4th street , I had parking in the laundry since I was there.

One of the best local gems of Long Beach. There's a few spots I frequent and this is one of them. Closed on Tuesday's so it's probably the only day I don't dine here lol. Legit worth a try and a detour for good and unique eats

Finally found a tasty pho place near the house. The ambiance is pretty chill and simple. Their place is very green and by that I mean they use things that are recyclable, even the bowl, to the spoon. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable as well as attentive. This was the first time that I nearly finished the broth in my pho, I usually don't but this one hit the spot. I absolutely love this hidden gem pho spot in Long Beach! My roommate and I can't stop coming here to get their pho and a side of spring rolls. It's different from your traditional authentic Vietnamese pho, but it's great regardless. They have beer, wine, and even coconuts with fresh coconut water! The inside of the restaurant is very clean/modern and has the perfect amount of dining space to come in a group. Owner Vahe is very friendly and answers all your questions about the food. He's doing it all in the restaurant, working the counter and kitchen and bringing out the food for inside dining! For the food, my go-to is the rare steak and brisket. They give large portions of meat, and it is tender! We also enjoy the spring rolls; you have to get them!

I came by on a cold Saturday evening here because I was in the area and saw this was one of the few places that sells pho. I was pretty torn between ordering soup or a sandwich. I don't usually order sandwiches at pho places, but I was really tempted to here because the photos people had posted of them looked really good! I ended up ordering their Rare steak and Brisket Pho, which I found to be good. Not great or fantastic, but still good. It was a perfect portion as when I finished, I was left quite satisfied. I also noticed it has a good ratio of noodles to meat and that the broth they use is different from the other pho places i have been to. I believe it was some kind of beef broth. I also want to point out that I didn't have to wait that long for my food either. It could have been because when I came in, I was the only person in the restaurant. It took about 10 minutes for it to come to the table. The workers were also really nice and welcoming to me. They brought me all the things I needed before my soup got to the table. One thing I didn't really like was the parking situation. I immediately noticed how the parking situation was very limited here. I drove around looking for a place to park for maybe 5-10 minutes. I ended up having to park in the laundromat parking lot next door, hoping my car wouldn't get towed. Aside from that, it was a good experience here. I would come back to try the sandwiches maybe but not the soup again, unless I was freezing my butt off and really wanted some lol.

This place was surprisingly good! We got the crispy vegetarian rolls, the chicken rice bowl, and the lemon grass beef bánh mí sandwich. The vegetarian rolls were good. It came with the typical dipping sauce and tons of stuff to add if you wrap your roll in the lettuce. My only con is that it was $10 and I feel like for an appetizer it should have been less, especially considering the main dishes like the bánh mí and bowls are $14 or $15. My friend got the chicken bowl so not much for me to review, but she only had good things to say about it. I got the bánh mí and omg that was so freakin good. The sauce was AMAZING!! It was the best thing about the sandwich because it was such a surprise when you first bite into the sandwich. The meat was great too like everything in the sandwich. It was a lot to eat so i saved half of my sandwich for dinner and it was still delicious haha. I'm Tip: There's only street parking so be wary of that (there's a neighborhood to parallel park at).

This place was completely horrible. The service was off. I ordered a steak on the side pho, and they kept looking at me like what did I order. Then it was over priced. Then the broth and the taste was completely off. I noticed they didn't have one Asian cook or employee... Don't come here. read more

The only people who might enjoy eating here are those who have never had real pho from a real Vietnamese place. The pho is the most expensive I've ever seen, it is served in disposable bowls, the sauces come in little packets of which you only get 1, the veggies come inside a bag. I doubt this place will last. Everything about this place is wrong, I wonder if the owners have ever even been inside a real Vietnamese restaurant. read more

Thank god you guys are back!!! Literally my favorite beef broth in all of Long Beach. My go to order is the vegan pho with half beef broth and half veggie broth. It seriously is something I crave all the time. If you're in the area you must try #9togo. Another favorite of mine and my partner's is the crispy calamari and crispy shrimp bun (Vietnamese noodle salad). Great customer service always. read more

Thankful to have found this place. Very unassuming from the outside, but they've carved out a great little corner in the shop. Food is DELICIOUS. We get the bun plates a lot, banh mi is an easy lunch decision, and pho will be a weekly occurrence after summer. And, the people are great! read more

Most basic bahn mi I've ever had and not worth $15. Glad they put hot sauce and hoisin in the bag because It helped it a little. I'd rather have lee's for half the price. The shrimp in the spring rolls were tiny because they are cheaper but they still charge $10. Not worth the price at all. read more

there aren't many places that offer vegan pho, so I was excited to see this on the menu at #9toGo. the vegetables weren't the traditional veggie pho variety, but I was eager to give it a try. they were a little mushier than I prefer, and I was hoping for fried tofu but this was very soft. the broth did have nice flavor and the sprouts/jalapeño were very fresh, but overall, this pho wasn't really for me. I do appreciate when restaurants have a vegan option, though! read more

I used to say this is the best vegetarian pho out there back when it was Number Nine by fourth and cherry. Now that they have a new location , I can finally say, this is still the best vegetarian pho out there. It's the broth! Why can't more places make broth like this ? It's so good. I am genuinely SHOCKED that the reviews are this good. I ordered the BBQ pork Bun with a side of extra veggie egg rolls and dipping sauce. The food was so disappointing.The bbq pork was rubbery, and the fat wasn't rendered. The veggie egg rolls were definitely the cheap frozen kind that turn into mush in the middle (they charge $9 for 2 of these). And the dipping (fish) sauce left something to be desired. It was nothing like authentic Vietnamese food. They get 1 star for making the rice noodles properly. Save your money and go to one of the better local options for Vietnamese food. read more

About 2 weeks ago, #9 became offline with the delivery apps. I thought they were having a glitch or decided to stop using them. To my HORROR, I went yesterday, in person, to get my Pho & Spring Roll fix, only to discover that they are "permanently" closed. LOVED #9 the restaurant #9TOGO was a tiny bit not as great but A+ if you hadn't had the other. I hope this closure is just a hiccup in the #9 journey and they will be back somewhere else soon. read more

I ordered from here and I asked about specific things if they were the same as the old number 9. I ordered two extra orders of egg rolls because my entire family loved the ones at the old number nine. I can assure you the egg rolls are not the same and if were not even worth buying. I spent over $100 and the cold noodles were mediocre, the sauce tasted watered down and we did not get the extra fried onions that were requested. Overall the food is still good minus the egg rolls just didn't hit the spot like the old number nine :( read more

Friendly service. I love the fact that's in Eddies Market and very convenient. I ordered the pork and shrimp spring rolls and crispy calamari. For the spring rolls, it's quite over priced. They come in 3 and the rolls are tiny compared to your standard spring rolls. The most disappointing thing about them is that they used tiny frozen cooked shrimps. You can't really taste much of anything besides lettuce and rice paper. The calamari however was good. I might just come back and try the pho. read more

I have been a Number Nine lover for the past 7-8 years, and I was so so so so sad to see it go. BUUUT 9toGo is the perfect remedy, especially during COVID -- quick and easy takeout versions of my fav dishes from before! What I liked a lot about Number Nine was that it had a bit of a fusion twist, and 9toGo doesn't disappoint. It's a little different from before, but the changes are almost imperceptible. The ingredients are still fresh and tasty despite the location in the back of a liquor store, the owners are total sweethearts too... and I'm definitely glad I still have a Curry Pho connect :) read more

I thought Number Nine had closed and I was so sad, but then I had a craving, went searching for pho, and found out it never really left! Hooray! Ordered vegan pho with beef broth and chicken bun, plus vegan spring rolls, and it was all as great as my husband and I remembered. Called in the order, pickup was at Eddie's on Fourth St., and it was super easy. A+ would crave again. read more

This is our FAVORITE pho place and we drive all the way from Laguna Beach for pick up and drive all the way back to enjoy it at home. But it's SO worth it and gives us something to look forward to after the work week especially during pandemic times. read more

This place is soo good! Fast service and friendly staff! It's inside a mini market, they have few tables outside as this is a pick up/to go restaurant. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu! I had the pork sandwich, my husband had the beef sandwich and we had their iced coffee! Oh my! It's a must! Definitely recommend if you are in Long Beach! read more

Okay, this place is a hidden gem. I told the guy when I was ordering that it was my first time and I ordered the egg rolls. When my order was done, he walked it outside to me and talked me through how to wrap my egg rolls with the veggies and I thought that was above and beyond being that I definitely would not have known to do all of that. Needless to say, the food was amazing. It was the perfect combination of savory and refreshing. I will be back, and often. read more

Maaaan I have been craving Pho for awhile and this hit the spot. I got the curry brisket pho, and it was packaged perfectly for to go. The meat/noodles were separate from the broth, but still piping hot. By the time I got home I poured everything into my favorite bowl, and truly enjoy the meal. I'm happy!!! Thanks #9ToGo read more

If you loved the old Number Nine, this does the trick but there have been changes. The veggie egg rolls seem to be the frozen egg rolls with carrots and cabbage, rather than the savory mushroom ones they used to serve. The dressing on the tofu bun may have also changed. It was pretty bland, but could have just been an off day. The spring rolls and peanut sauce were standard. Going to try some of the pho next time. They use Maritime Couriers for delivery which was really easy and actually delivered a lot faster than some of the big delivery apps. Glad this local favorite is still trying to make it work. read more

Was very happy to see the rebranded "No. 9" pop up here since we desperately needed a VN spot we can walk to in our neighborhood. Only been there once so far. The prices are a bit lower than their previous spot due to lower overhead but the quantity seemed a bit less as well. I had the lemongrass beef vermecelli but the beef was a bit too salty and not as flavorful as I remembered from the old place; and the fish sauce was watered down. Hopefully that's a one-off. Look forward to trying their pho next...hopefully after this heat wave is over! read more

I didn't know this place existed until late 2020..soooo glad I found it!! I have to stop myself from going every day. Flavor is so good and the Bún, my fave!! I love the crunch of the fried onions with the cold noodles. Love love love! read more

Chris Sweeney has become a beacon for the local community (Long Beach and Los Angeles). He speaks up for many who have been through it within the past year, and never makes you feel like you're forgotten. Admittedly, sometimes I've avoided stopping in due to funds being tight and he's let myself and the community know he's here for us. I've volunteered with RightMealz during the fires that devastated the greater LA area. He was the one who put our city on the map first with multiple drives for necessities, and delivered with a uhaul regularly. Usually, I fiend for the avocado toast with a slightly runny egg because chef knows how to make it just right. I pair it with a lavender latte, or an iced Chai latte. Other times I'm checking the fridge for chef's turkey mushroom meatballs with cashew cheese. I do not like turkey or mushrooms... But that meal is cleverly made to make me eat both and want more. My SO loves the breakfast bowls in house. I'm a sucker for the open-air space. I take people to RightMealz for the food, ambiance, and for the hospitality.
