Thank god you guys are back!!! Literally my favorite beef broth in all of Long Beach. My go to order is the vegan pho with half beef broth and half veggie broth. I am genuinely SHOCKED that the reviews are this good. I ordered the BBQ pork Bun with a side of extra veggie egg rolls and dipping sauce. The food was so disappointing.The bbq pork was rubbery, and the fat wasn't rendered. The veggie egg rolls were definitely the cheap frozen kind that turn into mush in the middle (they charge $9 for 2 of these). And the dipping (fish) sauce left something to be desired. there aren't many places that offer vegan pho, so I was excited to see this on the menu at #9toGo. the vegetables weren't the traditional veggie pho variety, but I was eager to give it a try. they were a little mushier than I prefer, and I was hoping for fried tofu but this was very soft. the broth did have nice flavor and the sprouts/jalapeño were very fresh, but overall, this pho wasn't really for me. Friendly service. I love the fact that's in Eddies Market and very convenient. I ordered the pork and shrimp spring rolls and crispy calamari. For the spring rolls, it's quite over priced. They come in 3 and the rolls are tiny compared to your standard spring rolls. The most disappointing thing about them is that they used tiny frozen cooked shrimps. You can't really taste much of anything besides lettuce and rice paper. The calamari however was good. I might just come back and try the pho. read more

About 2 weeks ago, #9 became offline with the delivery apps. I thought they were having a glitch or decided to stop using them. To my HORROR, I went yesterday, in person, to get my Pho & Spring Roll fix, only to discover that they are "permanently" closed. LOVED #9 the restaurant #9TOGO was a tiny bit not as great but A+ if you hadn't had the other. I ordered from here and I asked about specific things if they were the same as the old number 9. I ordered two extra orders of egg rolls because my entire family loved the ones at the old number nine. I can assure you the egg rolls are not the same and if were not even worth buying. I spent over $100 and the cold noodles were mediocre, the sauce tasted watered down and we did not get the extra fried onions that were requested. Overall the food is still good minus the egg rolls just didn't hit the spot like the old number nine :( read more

I have been a Number Nine lover for the past 7-8 years, and I was so so so so sad to see it go. BUUUT 9toGo is the perfect remedy, especially during COVID -- quick and easy takeout versions of my fav dishes from before! What I liked a lot about Number Nine was that it had a bit of a fusion twist, and 9toGo doesn't disappoint. It's a little different from before, but the changes are almost imperceptible. If you loved the old Number Nine, this does the trick but there have been changes. The veggie egg rolls seem to be the frozen egg rolls with carrots and cabbage, rather than the savory mushroom ones they used to serve. The dressing on the tofu bun may have also changed. It was pretty bland, but could have just been an off day. The spring rolls and peanut sauce were standard. Going to try some of the pho next time. They use Maritime Couriers for delivery which was really easy and actually delivered a lot faster than some of the big delivery apps. Was very happy to see the rebranded "No. 9" pop up here since we desperately needed a VN spot we can walk to in our neighborhood. Only been there once so far. The prices are a bit lower than their previous spot due to lower overhead but the quantity seemed a bit less as well. I had the lemongrass beef vermecelli but the beef was a bit too salty and not as flavorful as I remembered from the old place; and the fish sauce was watered down. Hopefully that's a one-off. Look forward to trying their pho next...hopefully after this heat wave is over! read more
