    Tofu banh me

Super low key spot on 4th. The place is super clean, minimally designed but cute. Street parking but it's not bad even around 5pm on a weekday. The service was great. Our server was very kind and the food came out quick. That's not expected and it's a huge plus. Tofu banh mi is fire. Boyfriend rated his beef pho 9/10. Egg rolls were soooo good, especially wrapped in lettuce with the pickled carrots and daikon Happy hour was all day on a Monday, $4 Sapporo's and beer and wine Overall an underrated spot in LB that is going to be in regular rotation from here on.

#9Pho is an excellent reminder to never judge a book by it's cover. Although I would describe the storefront as quaint, the food and service are A1 and exceeded all expectations. I ordered a Grilled Chicken and Rice Bowl ($8.99) with added mushrooms ($2.50). The order total was $12.67 including tax, which felt like a steal for the flavor-packed meal they served. Not only was the portion size enough for two meals, but it came within 5 minutes of ordering and was freakin delish. The energy inside #9 was peaceful, with a surprisingly spacious interior with booth, table, and bar seating. I would recommend #9 for lunch or a casual date night. Overall, I had a very positive experience and look forward to returning to one of my new favorite spots in Long Beach.

Some of the best Pho in Long Beach, and definitely the best vegan pho. This is the only Pho that my wife will save the broth and heat it up the next day with more noodles and veggies. Every other place she is happy to toss it, so hats off to amazing veggie broth. The spring rolls here are awesome as well, they have both regular with shrimp and vegan spring rolls. I normally get the rare brisket Pho but I recently tried the curry pho option and that one was quite good as well. The banh mi sandwiches were just ok. I wish the bread was better and crispier on the edges rather than soft, so I stick to the pho. Also, I really wish they used ceramic bowls instead of the paper ones. It must make sense financially, but it just seems wasteful and I prefer the feeling of eating out of real dishes. Other than those things, it is really solid and the best vegetarian Pho broth in Long Beach imo.

WOW really enjoyed my visit here ! I was doing laundry next door was starving & decided to check it out . Super clean and very nice looking inside , aesthetic on point ! The fellas in here were super nice ! Definitely enjoyed the service here . I went with the veggies egg rolls , the beef bowl , & the fellas were nice to mix some Thai tea & Vietnamese coffee for my drink . YUM , loved that they explained how to eat the egg rolls , have always enjoyed this style of egg rolls for the extras making a little egg roll taco. OMG the beef bowl was amazing ! Super tasty & ugh i loved the onions ! I think this a moat check out spot ! Will forsure be back . Regarding the parking I'm pretty super it's a bit scarce as it's on 4th street , I had parking in the laundry since I was there.

One of the best local gems of Long Beach. There's a few spots I frequent and this is one of them. Closed on Tuesday's so it's probably the only day I don't dine here lol. Legit worth a try and a detour for good and unique eats

Finally found a tasty pho place near the house. The ambiance is pretty chill and simple. Their place is very green and by that I mean they use things that are recyclable, even the bowl, to the spoon. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable as well as attentive. This was the first time that I nearly finished the broth in my pho, I usually don't but this one hit the spot. The shrimps spring roll was okay.

Amazing Vietnamese place for comfort food, come with me! Highlights of the menu: 1. Banh mi - Vietnamese sandwich with BBQ pork 2. Lemongrass beef rice bowl 3. Grilled chicken rice bowl 4. Lychee jasmine iced tea So many good choices for Vietnamese food! I come here to pick up food a lot for me and friends and everyone loves it! Quick service and casual ambiance. Yummy Vietnamese food is the best comfort food in this weather!

I absolutely love this hidden gem pho spot in Long Beach! My roommate and I can't stop coming here to get their pho and a side of spring rolls. It's different from your traditional authentic Vietnamese pho, but it's great regardless. They have beer, wine, and even coconuts with fresh coconut water! The inside of the restaurant is very clean/modern and has the perfect amount of dining space to come in a group. Owner Vahe is very friendly and answers all your questions about the food. He's doing it all in the restaurant, working the counter and kitchen and bringing out the food for inside dining! For the food, my go-to is the rare steak and brisket. They give large portions of meat, and it is tender! We also enjoy the spring rolls; you have to get them!

    Rare Steak and Brisket Pho

I came by on a cold Saturday evening here because I was in the area and saw this was one of the few places that sells pho. I was pretty torn between ordering soup or a sandwich. I don't usually order sandwiches at pho places, but I was really tempted to here because the photos people had posted of them looked really good! I ended up ordering their Rare steak and Brisket Pho, which I found to be good. Not great or fantastic, but still good. It was a perfect portion as when I finished, I was left quite satisfied. I also noticed it has a good ratio of noodles to meat and that the broth they use is different from the other pho places i have been to. I believe it was some kind of beef broth. I also want to point out that I didn't have to wait that long for my food either. It could have been because when I came in, I was the only person in the restaurant. It took about 10 minutes for it to come to the table. The workers were also really nice and welcoming to me. They brought me all the things I needed before my soup got to the table. One thing I didn't really like was the parking situation. I immediately noticed how the parking situation was very limited here. I drove around looking for a place to park for maybe 5-10 minutes. I ended up having to park in the laundromat parking lot next door, hoping my car wouldn't get towed. Aside from that, it was a good experience here. I would come back to try the sandwiches maybe but not the soup again, unless I was freezing my butt off and really wanted some lol.

    Lemon grass beef bánh mí
    Paulette D.

This place was surprisingly good! We got the crispy vegetarian rolls, the chicken rice bowl, and the lemon grass beef bánh mí sandwich. The vegetarian rolls were good. It came with the typical dipping sauce and tons of stuff to add if you wrap your roll in the lettuce. My only con is that it was $10 and I feel like for an appetizer it should have been less, especially considering the main dishes like the bánh mí and bowls are $14 or $15. My friend got the chicken bowl so not much for me to review, but she only had good things to say about it. I got the bánh mí and omg that was so freakin good. The sauce was AMAZING!! It was the best thing about the sandwich because it was such a surprise when you first bite into the sandwich. The meat was great too like everything in the sandwich. It was a lot to eat so i saved half of my sandwich for dinner and it was still delicious haha. I'm Tip: There's only street parking so be wary of that (there's a neighborhood to parallel park at).

They are so sweet here!! Very helpful and prompt service. The food is always amazing! Bahn mi sandwich is my fave!

I came here on a weekend night, and it was packed, but with minimal wait. Ever since I visited Cambodia, I have been craving the Cambodian-style fried calamari, so I made sure to get that as a starter. The calamari was perfectly fried with its light batter, and then the fish oil and salt/pepper seasonings were spot on. I also got their Boat Noodle, and that hit the spot. It was spicy and refreshing, and all the meats were so tender. The noodles were the right texture too. I am so hoping to visit more to try even more of their menu--definitely give Monorom a visit if you are in the area!

The dining room is modest in size, but the warmth of the atmosphere and the attentiveness of the staff immediately make the experience inviting. Everyone was genuinely friendly and clearly proud of the food they served. The menu leans heavily into comforting Cambodian stir-fry, and you can taste the care behind each dish. Here are some of the dishes I have tasted so far. Steak with Anchovies - 4.5/5. What truly surprised me was the Steak with Anchovies. I have to admit that the dish wouldn't have been my choice, given the name on the menu. However, the owner highly recommended it, and it ended up being one of the highlights of the meal. The NY steak was grilled beautifully, sliced, and served alongside a vibrant salad and an anchovy-based paste mixed with onions, Asian eggplants, scallions, and pickled vegetables. The steak had the perfect level of char and smokiness while remaining tender inside. What made the dish memorable was how well the anchovy mixture complemented the meat. The flavors were bold and savory without becoming overpowering, allowing both the steak and the salad's freshness to stand out. It was layered, balanced, and unexpectedly addictive. Sweet & Sour Fish - 4.5/5. Another standout dish is the Sweet & Sour Fish. A whole fish is breaded, deep-fried until crisp, and topped with a house-made sweet-and-sour sauce. The contrast between the fish's delicate softness and its crunchy exterior was already excellent, but the sauce elevated everything. You could immediately tell it was made fresh rather than poured from a prepackaged supplier bottle. The sauce had real texture and depth from ingredients like peppers, onions, and scallions. It struck that ideal balance of sweetness, acidity, and savoriness while bringing enough complexity to keep every bite exciting. Sauteed Watercress - 4/5. Even though the menu says "watercress," this isn't the conventional watercress you get at Whole Foods or other SoCal supermarkets. This is water spinach or morning glory (in S.E. Asia, it is also known as kangkong or ong choy). This is a very popular dish in S.E. Asia, stir-fried with dry shrimp paste, garlic, and chillis. And Monorom delivers an excellent dish. The water spinach came out cooked but still crunchy, and the sauce has the right flavor notes that let the aromatic flavors shine without overpowering the dish. Rice Roasted Pork - 3/5. I found the crispy pork to be decent overall. The pork itself was a bit dry for my taste. Still, thankfully, the accompanying sauce carried the dish nicely, adding enough richness and flavor to balance things out. Overall, Monorom feels like the kind of neighborhood restaurant people become loyal to. The food is soulful, comforting, and thoughtfully prepared, and the hospitality makes the experience even better. Some dishes may resonate more than others, but when they hit, they really hit.

Every dish we've tried has been full of flavor and genuinely worth ordering. Surprisingly, compared to other Thai spots, it's usually not overly packed and honestly I'm almost scared to say that because I don't want it to change. The service has always been great, the food comes out quickly, and the portions/prices feel reasonable. So far, our favorites have been the pad see ew, tom yum soup (medium spice), egg fried rice, fried calamari and the beef BBQ which was so good we immediately ordered a second plate. The mango sticky rice is also really good, but the portion is on the smaller side, so we ended up getting two orders since one plate is hard to share with more than 2-3 people. Parking has been easy for us so far since there's both a parking lot and nearby street parking. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants that's officially in our regular rotation.

The restaurant itself is nice and clean, including the restrooms, which I always appreciate. The staff was very customer service oriented and did a great job making suggestions and giving tips about the menu and spice levels, which was super helpful. I started with the Money Bags, which are basically fried dumplings. Mine were a little overcooked, almost close to burnt. They still had decent flavor, but I'd personally rate them about a 2.9 out of 5. I also had the green papaya salad with mild spice, and the spice level was perfect, especially for people who are sensitive to heat. I usually stick around medium spice at Thai restaurants, but even the mild here still gives you a nice kick. For my drink, I got the Thai tea, which came topped with a Thai tea popsicle that slowly melted into the drink. Such a cute touch, creative, and tasty. For my entrée, I had the basil garlic sauce with sliced steak and a side of rice, which I really enjoyed. For dessert, we shared the mango sticky rice. It was good, but I do feel like it was a little overpriced for the portion size. Maybe part of that is because of the specialty rice they use that has the purple hue. I know a few places in Long Beach where you can get more for the same price. That said, the presentation was really cute with the flower garnish and everything looked beautiful. The atmosphere was nice. It has an open kitchen concept, so you can actually see the cooking happening, which adds to the experience. Seating is somewhat limited and the tables are fairly close together in certain sections, especially where the divider walls are, so you can definitely hear nearby conversations depending on where you sit. Great food, clean restaurant, and strong customer service. I'd definitely come back. You get the classic sides--lime, bean sprouts, basil--and we also added the crispy egg rolls, which came out hot and crunchy with a satisfying bite. The pho arrived piping hot, deeply aromatic, and comforting in that way only a well-made broth can be. They give you chopsticks for the noodles and a large spoon for the soup--exactly how it should be. The portions are generous, especially for the price. Around $12 gets you a big, steaming bowl that feels like a full meal, not a tease. I took my time with it, savoring all the layers of flavor, especially after adding sriracha and hoisin (which is absolutely the move here). The beef was tender, the rare steak cooked perfectly in the hot broth, and the noodles held up all the way through. What really stood out was the atmosphere. Cyclo Noodles is a casual and laid back, family owned Vietnamese and Cambodian restaurant in Long Beach, CA. It is situated at the traffic circle in the recently renovated shopping center adjacent to the Sprouts supermarket and other small restaurants. It is a self service model where you order first at the kiosk and take a seat. They have seating inside and outside. There is plenty of parking in front of the restaurant. According to Google, it is their only location. it is known for its pho, noodle dishes, and other comfort foods. Their menu is varied with Vietnamese, Cambodian & Thai specialties including dishes such as pho (with beef, chicken, vegetable), vermicelli noodle dishes, and fresh spring rolls. Their Thai options include Pad Thai, Pad See Iew, and Chicken Curry Vermicelli. For Vegetarian options, they offer vegetarian pho, tofu spring rolls, and other plant-based options. They also serve Pineapple Fried Rice, Phnom Penh Noodle, and various salads. (See photos for full menu) Today, i placed my order on their website. It is simple and intuitive. The menu is easy to read and offers customization options with quick apple pay checkout. The service is quick and friendly and my food was ready faster than the time allowed. By the time i received my text message telling me that my food was ready, i was already in my vehicle and on my way home. I got an order of spring rolls with shrimp. You get 3 large rolls. The beef was somewhat tender and my only complaint is that half of my beef was marble (fat) and therefore inedible. Otherwise, that won't keep me from going back to explore some of the other items on the menu and i recommend trying Cyclo Noodles for your next Vietnamese food fix.

It was such a nice time. Plenty of street parking around. It's cozy and traditional, what more can you ask for?

They have an ipad outside to sign up if it starts to get busy. We ordered the pork noodle (you have the option to do it wet or dry-we chose dry) and the beef noodle soup. The dry noodles come with a side soup as well. My husband really liked the dry noodles since it was well seasoned. The beef noodle soup (with combo noodle types) was good as well. The soup seems very clean and rich with flavor. I would prefer to have some sort of pickled serrano peppers though to give it a citrus and spicy taste to balance out the savory soup. We also got some fried donuts which paired well with the soup. Very quick service and the food came out quick. Definitely a mom and pop shop but with a good amount of indoor seating as well.
