I wasn't thinking and ordered it with pastrami instead of corned beef. So this is not a true comparison to other Reuben sandwiches I've had. The sandwich was still good. It was not drowning in sauerkraut and dressing like other sandwiches I've had. I'll have to go back and try again.

There was quite the line when we arrived (starting out the door), but they were quick with taking orders! I took this as a great sign. My partner got the Reuben and I got the Smokin' Mo Sandwich which is brisket, cheese and bbq. Finally some good brisket in town!! It was so good and tender. I was very happy with my order. It comes with a pickle which was nice and garlicky mmm mmm! Chips and slaw are optional sides, but I didn't partake. I also got latkes as I haven't had them since I was a child. They were good. They come with the traditional applesauce and sour cream. I found the portions generous - I came home with half a sandwich and 2 latkes to eat for dinner. The place is clean and has plenty of seats. They do breakfast all day. They also have Dr Browns soda from NY available by the can or case. The pickles can be bought too and all of their meats by the pound. We plan on coming to get some of the by the pound meats at another time. Staff was very friendly and helpful with answering any questions we had. Will definitely be back.

Unfortunately, this was a second bad experience in recent months…read more After placing our order, the girl making sandwiches announces it will be at least 30 minutes because they are "too backed up with hot sandwich orders". We acknowledged and took our seats. A couple of observations while we waited. There were 4 workers, and only one making sandwiches. All the patrons were waiting on something from the lunch counter. The tables and main counter all needed a good wipe down. The staff needs better time management training to handle the "crowd". (It was not very crowded but there was no sense of urgency on anyone's part to get the people waiting their food.) The staff making sandwiches should have their hair tied back. I watched multiple people leave without being helped and multiple food delivery people waited and eventually left without the food. After 30 minutes, we did receive our 3 sandwiches. Two cold ones and a grilled cheese. The cold sandwiches were just ok for the price. The grilled cheese was not quite grilled and the cheese did not melt. The lesson learned for me is to just buy the ingredients and make sandwiches. For $50+, I should have just done that. This business could be doing so much better with a good manager, better customer service, and tightening up the cleanliness.

Long story short, I ordered one banana bungalow waffle ($12, really?) for myself. The guy in front of me in line ordered a total of 5 waffles for himself and his family. The girl taking orders told him the wait would be about 35 minutes, so I figured mine would take about the same time. Spoiler: it did not. It took just over an hour. And to top it off, the waffle didn't live up to my expectations. The edges were burned and something about the cream tasted off, like it wasn't as fresh. Before they open again next spring, they really need to figure out a more efficient way to run their business. Hire more people, get more equipment, allow people to call/text in orders, something. Maybe even limit how many waffles one person can order because I would have had mine sooner if not for the people who ordered 10 waffles for their party. Because waiting over an hour for ONE waffle when that's all you make is ridiculous.

I could be wrong, but felt as if she was giving me an unwelcoming look. Right off the bat, they told me 'We're out of whipped cream!' And some other toppings... While I get that they were out of some stuff, they didn't have to blurt that out first thing. I almost didn't end up ordering anything because of that. That really soured my experience. I ended up getting a plain waffle for $6 with nothing on it. With toppings it would've been either $11 to $13. Where do they get off charging that amount of money for a waffle with a few toppings??? You could get all of those ingredients for under $10 at the grocery store and make a good 20 plus waffles for that price. I suggest lowering your prices. Your waffles are good...but why charge so much for them?

Lightning Fast Service and Delicious Breakfasts! We…read morestopped by for a midmorning breakfast and were delighted by both the service and the food. Within 20 minutes of walking in, we were seated, served coffee and water, placed our order, and received our meals. We enjoyed classic breakfast favorites--fried eggs, patty sausage, biscuits and gravy, reindeer sausage--and the lightest, fluffiest, most perfectly prepared Belgian waffle. The experience was so impressive that we returned the next day to see whether it had been a fluke; it was not. The staff was just as friendly and efficient, and while the breakfast sandwich we added was delicious, I couldn't resist ordering another heavenly waffle. I strolled by the kitchen, a couple of times, to try and look to see what magic they were performing in the background, but their secret sauce is the people who work there! Unfortunately, after trying two weekends in a row, I'm giving up. I completely understand that weekend breakfast/brunch is going to be busy. Waiting isn't the issue. The check-in and seating process is just incredibly disorganized. Both visits I put my name on the waitlist. The first time, I specifically asked if I could take one of two open seats at the bar and was told I still needed to join the waitlist. I did, but guests who arrived after me were eventually seated at the bar ahead of me. The second weekend, essentially the same thing happened again. There also doesn't seem to be a clear way to tell who is actually waiting versus who has just arrived. Meanwhile, I watched larger tables that had been pushed together for bigger parties remain together after those parties left, then get reset and used for smaller groups rather than being separated again. That's a lot of usable seating sitting unnecessarily occupied when you have a lobby full of people waiting. When I asked the host during my first visit why someone behind me on the waitlist had been given the bar seat I'd originally asked about, I received an apology but no real explanation or resolution. On the positive side, after spending plenty of time waiting on both visits, I can certainly confirm what others have said about the restaurant being clean and the portions looking generous coming out of the kitchen looke I genuinely wanted to try Heidi's, and I still think it may be worth visiting during slower hours. But after two consecutive weekend experiences with the same seating issues, the problem feels less like "they were busy today" and more like a process that needs some attention. Unfortunately, that's enough for me to stop trying for now.
