In authentic Korean cuisine, Kalbi strictly refers to short ribs (usually beef). However, what I was served was just cheap, thinly sliced beef(Bulgogi). The most frustrating part is that they actually have real, authentic Kalbi on another part of the same menu, which means management knows exactly what Kalbi is. And he try to explain and mislead me. They are intentionally playing word games, using the name "Kalbi" to describe the sweet soy marinade rather than the actual premium cut of meat, likely hoping customers won't know the difference. Using cheap meat substitutes under a premium name is highly misleading. If you are looking for real Kalbi, look closely at the menu or avoid this place.

If you are looking for something really satisfying and want a good fresh meal that wakes up every single tastebud, I would recommend these guys. I also have to say it feels like the owners themselves made the food, and maybe they did.
