900 Grayson has earned their final star - from my first experience many years ago to the OK takeout experience during the pandemic, followed by my third enjoyable experience recently. When we arrived on a busy Saturday afternoon, we explained to the host that we needed outdoor seating because we had our dog with us. We were told it would be about a 30 min wait for an outside spot. We figured that wasn't bad - considering they were pretty busy, but then 30 minutes came and went, and we were slowly creeping on one hour. We also noticed several other people who arrived after us being seated. Our next move was to address the host and ask about our place on the waitlist. He was apologetic and took the time to explain how and what went wrong. I tell this story because it's essential to know the integrity of a place you love to eat. If you fancy breakfast than this is the spot. Nothing in the area compares to 900 Grayson. Its a contemporary American breakfast with high quality ingredients. Love the bacon, hash browns, and especially the bread. The place is a bit small so get their early. The pro move is to go on the weekdays or off hours. Pretty meh all around. The breakfast menu isn't huge and the food was only OK. The 'waffle' in the chicken & waffle was a slightly bumpy bland pancake. The fried chicken wasn't bad, though almost burnt on the outside (but the fact that they were large and boneless was nice). The gravy was pretty good actually, and the maple syrup was fine but it was such a tiny ramekin that it definitely wasn't worth the cost. Alright first of I don't know why they call the chicken & waffles the Demon Lover but the chicken is really good. It was moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. I asked for the gravy and it came directly on the chicken and waffles so if you want it on the side make sure to let them know. Thankfully the gravy was good so it didn't ruin the dish. The waffle was alright, it's not a crispy waffle, it's actually more reminiscent of a pancake. We had a dog with us and they let us sit outside so that was nice. The service was not good though, the waiter took our order and we literally didn't see her again until we got the check. People had some different hot sauces on their table which looked like they went with the waffles and we didn't get one. Went on a rainy day for the first around a week ago, loved the indoor dining! I went in with three of my friends and we all got the famous demon lover. Two of us got the syrup and the two other two got gravy so we could just share. Gravy and syrup are $2 extra for each individually. The chicken was amazing, not as greasy as regular fried chicken; you get two pieces of it. The gravy was also good as well, everyone enjoyed it. The one thing I could though is the waffle was very thin, I prefer my waffles to be more thick and fluffy but that's just personal preference. Overall, a great breakfast option! read more

I finally did and I'm glad! My friend and I ordered the (of course) demon lover and the time life cookbook so that we have something to cut through the heaviness of the fried chicken. Time life cookbook: this is a smoked Gouda cheese omelette with hash browns and a apple salad with a fresh mint vinaigrette. I loved the Apple salad paired with the heaviness of the hash brown & fried chicken. The omelette was smooth and the Gouda cheese added a good savoriness to the eggs. Hash browns were also very crispy. A good alternative to fried chicken here if you're looking for something more hearty and opting for a more traditional breakfast dish. Demon lover: THE CLASSIC here. A waffle buried under fried chicken breast. The waffle wasn't anything unique, and the chicken itself was not anything special either. I found the chicken to actually be a bit dry, BUT what compensated for it was the sauce. I'm not usually a fan of gravy but the additional $2 for gravy was a must to pair with the sweet syrup. I definitely think the sauce made the demon lover a signature for 900 Grayson. My waiter was also super attentive. When he saw our table was shaky and our coffees were spilling, he quickly refilled it for us and double checked throughout the meal to make sure we had everything we need. Decided to pull up and do a review on 900 Grayson's highly recommend dish The Demon Lover. I have to say food met all my expectations. 5 out of 5 on my ratings scale. Service was excellent and quick, food was on point and very tasty. The chicken was tender and fried to perfection, seasoned very well. This is such a cute spot for brunch! I came on a Friday around noon, and ordered a demon lover and charlie to share among 3 people. The demon lover is definitely popular for good reason -- the chicken was super flavorful and crispy, and the waffle was amazing as well! I actually preferred the maple syrup over the gravy for the chicken and waffles, but the gravy was great for dipping our fries in. The ahi tuna sandwich was really good as well. One of my favorites, this place stands out on quality and consistency. Always good, I never leave hungry or dissatisfied. I've been meaning to come to 900 Grayson after hearing so many good things about it - my thoughts: - Food is good - Prices are expensive - Wait is long, and the restaurant is crowded I've been here a couple times - each time no matter how early I could get up (earliest I can force myself to wake up on a weekend is 9AM), I've had to wait for 30 min to an hour to get seated. On the plus side though, service is friendly and the employees (and even someone who I think is the manager or owner) were constantly checking in on us to see how we were doing. I ordered the Demon Lover, which is the most common item I saw on the Yelp page, and what I heard friends order in the past. It's fried chicken and waffles, and you have the choice of gravy or maple syrup, or both. It does cost extra to get both. I never could decide between the two, but I always ended up choosing gravy. Honestly, I was really, really satisfied with the fried chicken - juicy and tender meat, crispy skin, and best of all - boneless. The gravy was also really good, however this dish is so filling that halfway through my stomach started hating me :P Do eat it fast, though, in my experience the gravy starts cooling down after a bit. You don't wanna eat cold gravy! The waffle was what disappointed me: it was soft and nearing soggy. I think that might be because they put the fried chicken on top and the oil from that softened and moistened the waffles underneath. I would have preferred the waffle to be thicker and crispier. Price: If I remember correctly, this dish on the menu was priced for $17. I consider this to be on the pricier side for my brunch budget, as total after tax and tip it'd be almost $20 for just one person.
