    Bacon Egg and Cheese Biscuit
    Francina L.

We walked in on a Saturday around 11:30am and we were able to find street parking right away. When we walked in, they told us if we wanted to dine in we could sit down and they would take our order at the table. If you're taking to go obviously you order at the cash register. We also got lucky because we found an available table to sit at immediately. The waitress came over immediately, and we decided to order one fried chicken biscuit, one bacon cheese and egg biscuit, and the waitress recommended the biscuits and gravy so I got that as well as one of the home fries to share and we got coffee all around. The food came out in minutes and everything was so fresh and delicious. The gravy was chunky with the sausage and the biscuits were warm and flaky. I'm excited to go back and try other options on the menu. Fried chicken was also crispy to perfection. While we were there, it started to get a little bit more full, but they have a lot of seating so no fear.

We were in town looking for a quick breakfast and found this place on Yelp! We drove over and luckily there was not a big line when we got there - for a Saturday brunch time that's a win. We ordered the sausage sandwich, berry and goat cheese and side of biscuit w cinnamon butter The biscuits are phenomenal. Flaky, buttery, delicious! The sausage is probably our favorite - crispy, perfect egg and w the biscuit it's 10/10. My only note is it could use maybe some sauce. The berry and goat cheese is v goat cheese fwd. would love more berry jam. The cinnamon butter is perfection. The service is very friendly and their table set up is cute. Parking is difficult though but if you circle around a couple times you will find a spot! Def recommend for a quick delicious breakfast!

First time at Town Biscuit and it lived up to the expectations! The customer service was great, they were super friendly and offered great recommendations. The food came out quickly and was hot. The biscuit was delicious it was really buttery and flakey, the bacon was perfectly crispy, and the egg well seasoned. Also the home fries were on point I was not expecting them to be seasoned like that but loved them. Also got an Arnold Palmer that was refreshing and not too sweet. It was really cute inside too. Will definitely be coming back.

I had the incredible good fortune of eating these stellar biscuits on Friday morning in Oakland and again two days later on Sunday morning in Berkeley. I love a biscuit and these are superb. Whether you take yours plain, with goat cheese and jam, or with sausage, egg, and cheese, you cannot go wrong. A better biscuit cannot be found in the East Bay.

Best biscuits I've ever had. The best thing is that they are just about the right size so you don't feel too full! We got the SEC sandwich and the blueberry and goat cheese biscuit. Both were delicious and paired well together. The seating is in a very beautiful natural light space, good for smaller groups and the service is absolutely amazing. They are super attentive even if you are taking food to-go! Will definitely be back when we're in Oakland next!

My boyfriend saw this spot on Instagram and decided he needed to know if it was worth the hype and it absolutely was. When we got there, they were busy, but actively let folks know where they were in line. By the time we were seated, we both knew what we wanted and ordered Arnold Palmer's and our breakfast sandwiches, along with a side of sausage gravy, and everything was delicious. The Arnold Palmer has the perfect balance, not to heavy on either the lemonade or sweet tea. The sandos were incredible and the biscuit was hardy enough to hold the sandwich. We sat at high tops by the window and it made for good people watching. The staff were also super friendly. We're already excited to go back!

We stopped by to pick up up our order on a Saturday morning. We ordered 2 biscuit sandwiches and one order of the potato's. Our order came out to $24 The biscuits were really good, tasted very fresh. These sandwiches are good and I wish this business much success!

Town Biscuits is in a shared restaurant space but it feels like its own little world. The space is beautiful and inviting with modern accents that contrast perfectly with the mismatched floral plates and mason jars filled with flowers. It gives off a charming, country-esque vibe, fitting for the biscuits they serve. The biscuits were buttery and flaky without falling apart. They actually had substance. The jam had subtle hints of lemon and wasn't overly sweet, it was a perfect balance. The fried chicken was juicy and nicely breaded...not too thick or heavy. And let's talk about the potatoes. They looked burnt/overcooked at first glance, but they were anything but. Crunchy on the outside, perfectly cooked inside, and seasoned just right with Cajun spices. Service was attentive and friendly, and the Chef even stopped by to say hello.

I love biscuit sandwiches and I'm so glad there's finally one in the town. I finally got the chance to stop by... location can definitely be hard to find parking and the street is small so when I pulled up there was a car double parked and some other car half way pulled over and blocked the other side so I couldn't even go around them even after I honked no one wanted to move to make space for me . Definitely wanted a dine experience. Ended up going to Korean plaza and ordering online due to lack of parking. Estimated pickup was 20 minutes. Came back 25 minutes later and was told it would be an additional 10-15 minutes. They were nice enough to bring it to our car though! I had tried this place through DoorDash originally and thought it was cool. Grits were okay in my opinion. This time I ordered 2 sausage biscuit sandwiches, 2 bacon biscuit sandwiches, and a side of biscuit and gravy. And it was honestly fire. The biscuits were soft and fluffy and the sausage was salty which I liked. I've never had sausage gravy like this before and it was super flavorful. Would definitely be coming back and hoping to dine in next time.

This cute, intimate gem near downtown Oakland lives up to the hype! They are famous for their chicken biscuits, and let me tell you...they are so good. The biscuits are perfectly soft and moist, and the chicken is hella flavorful. We also loved the potatoes, and the sweet iced tea was hands-down the best I've had in a long time! We opted to sit at the bar, and the staff were nice...so friendly and full of great recommendations. I will definitely be back!

This is a small restaurant in downtown Oakland. We came on a Friday and it was pretty busy with customers seated inside and others waiting for takeout orders. We were taking our food to go. It took around fifteen minutes to get our food. They called our names, but then they left the counter. So, we had to read all of the names on all of the to-go orders to find ours. But it was no big deal. We found our food, and we left. The biscuits were very good, although they were smaller than expected. The chicken was delicious and the bacon and eggs were good. I was disappointed in the grits because they were not seasoned, but the consistency was pretty good.

I just wanted to say my wife and i travel 50 minutes from Brentwood to get here and its WELL WORTH IT everytime! Parking is not always easy in this area but we always have the best luck. The food is incredible and the customer service definitely matches! I feel welcomed and at home here. My wife loves mustard and although they didn't have exactly that, a sweet lady (i believe she was the owner) came out and personally brought my wife out a sauce that she loved even more than mustard! Thats how you go above and beyond and its greatly appreciated. Not to be dramatic but a 10 out of 10 experience these days are rare. Town biscuits provides just that! Thanks yall. Ill forever recommend and a pray God blesses this business 10 fold!

Whatever you order, make sure to add their hot sauce! It definitely elevated each dish! The ambiance of the place was kind of boho chic and it was relatively empty at around 12:30pm on a Thursday. Service was nice, our waitress was prompt and paid a good amount of attention to us. I feel like they are a bit understaffed though, but that might be due to business being slower than usual during the time we went. Yes, I tried it over a dozen years ago and have little recollection of my dining experience (review: https://yelp.to/8rBLt3xnAB). Probably just as well because this was our first time at this location. We came on a Saturday afternoon looking for a late lunch. It was a nice space with interesting decorating touches like a collage of vintage photos and magazine clippings in a ribbon-like pattern on the gray wall (Photo 6). The place was almost empty, which allowed us to take the corner table next to the window. The menu looked like a slightly upmarket take on Vietnamese fare. We decided to share a couple of dishes since we had tentative dinner plans later. We ordered the $17 Shrimp Papaya Salad, a decent enough mix of green papaya and carrots in decorative latticed slices, crispy allium, herbs, and six poached shrimp, drenched in a spicy fish sauce vinaigrette and topped with peanuts and Thai basil (Photo 9). Tasty but a bit bland and wet. We then shared the $25 Fried Chicken characterized as chicken tempura, but the execution was lacking. It consisted of slices of thigh meat covered in a rather moist coating. There was fermented soy aioli and a side of pickled daikon, carrot and cabbage slaw in miso soy dressing (Photo 10). Even though the thigh meat was welcome, the dish didn't quite hang together. At the same time, the ingredients were fresh, and frankly other menu options might've improved our satisfaction. BUT if you're in a pinch, either order online or maybe save this spot for when you have more time. Also- I know that good quality food is pricey, this place is no exception. But you pay for what you get and the quality is better than that of fast food.

While this visit was in between the lunch and dinner rush, unfortunately I think they are understaffed because at the time we sat down there was only 1 person who was busing tables and taking orders. As a result, it took a while for them to be able to stop by our table and provide water, take our order, etc. There was quite a long wait between sitting down to ordering to actually receiving our food. By the time we had actually received our food, almost an hour had passed. While we were waiting, a few other servers eventually joined, but service was still pretty bare for us and we never received refills on water or plates to eat off of when we received our food. I understand that staffing and a backup in the kitchen are out of the staff's control, but it would've definitely helped for us to know in advance how long to expect to wait to align our expectations and arrange our plans for the day. Would advise giving customers a quick heads up/warning because that on its own would've made a big difference. As for the actual food, we ordered the mac trio with elote mac, chicken pot pie mac, and kogi short rib mac (for an extra fee). The elote mac was the best and most flavorful, the short rib mac was okay but not amazing or worth the extra money, and the chicken pot pie mac was very bland/flavorless and didn't have much chicken in it. The food didn't feel like it warranted the wait time and because of that I would not return.

This place might have become my favorite fast-casual burger joint in Oakland…read more Since my first review, I've enjoyed their food three more times -- in person once and DoorDash twice. And it's been satisfying and well worth it all three times. I recommend both dining in and delivery. You cannot go wrong with their double burger. The smashed patties are perfectly cooked and seasoned. The supporting elements are quality and executed spot-on each time: the cheese, grilled onions, and mayo. It's a perfect fast casual burger. I also recently tried the Chopped Beef burger and dang it was amazing. The hearty meat and cheese the and buttery bread texture hit hard. This will be another go-to and I recommend it. For sides I've gotten tator tots, regular fries, and season fries. All fantastic and they're generous with the portions. HOWEVER -- you've gotta get the seasoned fries. Addictive and finger-licking amazing. When dining in staff is always friendly. Area's not too busy and you'll always find parking easily down a side street. And price wise it honestly feels like a steal for me given the care and quality and pure satisfaction. Works for me though -- I'm going to keep ordering from this place. Cannot recommend this gem of a burger joint enough. Fantastic seasoning and execution, solid prices, and absolutely satisfying every time.

I ordered the turkey club and it was honestly huge. You can see in the photo how big it is compared to my hand. It was stacked and super satisfying, the kind of sandwich that definitely fills you up. We also shared a deviled egg and some fried zucchini to start, which were great little bites before the main dish. The zucchini was crispy and light, and the deviled egg was simple but really good. I paired everything with a mocha latte that was perfectly balanced and honestly superb. Overall it was a ten out of ten brunch moment. Between the sunny weather, good coffee, and really satisfying food, it was exactly what we were looking for. Definitely one of those spots I would come back to for brunch again.

Our waitress took very long to even acknowledge us, didn't person herself to be very friendly, and lacked any attentiveness to us as customers. We had to ask other people for things like refills on our drinks, condiments, etc. She didn't ever really try to check to see how things were going after the food was served and we had to ask someone else to pay. Unfortunately considering this experience my husband doesn't want to go back and I hate that for us because the food was really good.
