Daing na Bangus Lechon Kawali
Charlotte Z.

Pretty interior with lots of sunlight and plants cute. Great service plenty of parking. Lumpia was perfectly crispy and not too thick. House made sauces were delicious as well. Thrice cooked pork belly had a nice crunch, but got stuck to teeth a bit. Milk fish was a bit dry But garlic rice was so aromatic. We got a Filipino dessert with Ube ice cream and coconut shaved ice with jelly, tasted a bit artificial, but not too sweet and refreshing

I feel like this is a secret gem that is underrated!! Visited here in December and wow, this is such an easy hidden gem that I often think about. If you want Filipino food this is the only one you should be getting. This restaurant is also on the recognized so wonderfully by the industry and Michelin guide, but accessible for everyone. The servers here are nonchalant, cool, feel like family and talk to you like you've known them your whole life. I had a matcha drink and it was so delicious. The silog is not a miss here with everything just perfect to taste from texture to also the flavor. The place is bigger than expected, spacious, and just feels good to be in. Best Filipino food at a restaurant level but also great service and place from me who never really enjoyed Filipino food outside of my household until this spot. A true homage to Filipino food!!!

No complaints. Husband and I came for dinner on a Saturday evening. Relaxed ambiance, good music selection, great service. We had a reservation so we were promptly seated. We ordered: - Veggie Lumpia - Pork Adobo - Daing na Bangus - Side of Garlic Rice - Turon w/ Ube ice cream - Pandan Iced Coffee We loved everything! We also ended up purchasing a bottle of their house made hot sauce because it was THAT good. Will definitely be back.

Food was delicious and staff was very friendly! Would love to come back and try other dishes and cocktails. Awesome vibe in Prescott market!

This was my first time trying the food from Fob Kitchen. This review is based on an order that was delivered for a party. The food was great, I had the pancit, white rice, pork adobo, tofu with mushroom dish. We also had Shanghai and veggie lumpia. Everything was really good, we plan to place an order from Fob Kitchen again soon!

Crispy chicken skins (there was more but my table couldn't wait to dig in lol)

I had a really nice brunch with my family here. First, give yourself enough time to find parking. The lot is small, so you may have to search for street parking. We ordered chicharron and lumpia to start. My family digged in right away, so there was more chicharron than what I picture. It was good - crunchy and salty. The lumpia was also yummy, full of pork flavor. Don't sleep on it. As for my entree I got the tocsilog, which is the tocino egg and rice plate. The pork was salty and sweet, and had a nice char from the grill. The garlic rice complemented the tocino well, and the egg added a yolky richness. And I'm glad it came with a side of mixed salad since it was a heavy meal. It was my cousin's birthday, so she got a scoop of Ube ice cream with turon. It was delicious and not too sweet. I loved the caramelization. We also got mango sticky rice to share. The mango was really fresh, and the coconut was refreshing. Service was great! We were welcomed like family. We had to sit outside though because we had our dog, so we missed out on the tropical vibes inside. I wish there was an umbrella for shade, but it was also nice to be in the sun as the weather in Oakland at that time was beautiful. I would love to come back again for dinner.

Brunch - Skeleton mannequin with red hair, wearing a black sweatshirt with 'F.O.B KITCHEN' printed on it, seated on a wooden chair in a bar or restaurant interior. The background includes a bar counter with bottles, glasses, and a potted plant near a window. The setting features teal and blue hexagonal tiles on the wall and a window with patterned glass.

**3.5 stars for dine-in experience** Visited with buddy Hazel for Sunday brunch. No line or busy at opening. Quickly greeted and seated and given menus. This was my first dine-in experience with my first visit being take out of pancit. Unfortunately, noodles were overcooked and mushy but didn't do a review at the time as they were new and wanted to give it another try. Visit on Sunday, 11/2/2025 11am: :: Fried chicken silog - not my favorite. Exterior crunchy but almost a hard shell vs light and crispy and broke off into large pieces with each bite. Maybe an off day but 3/5 for me. :: Lechon Kawali silog - pork belly fried with a vinegar dipping sauce, rice and mixed greens. I love lechon and have tried many. I thought it was overcooked and a tad dry... 3.5/5 :: Lumpia Shanghai - thicker wrap, cut in half and fried with bottled sweet chili sauce Hmm again it was a bit dry for me and tasted re-fried/heated. I know I'm unpopular opinion but open to trying again at some point. With so many Filipino restaurants, I didn't find it special (for the price) other than the energetic vibe, customer service and location off Telegraph where not many like spots. But now I'm off to get my Filipino-fried chicken fix at a hole-in-the wall spot in Fremont. Price/person without drinks: $32. Small shared parking lot with metered street parking

We had the milk fish and the bistec steak and chicken wings for an appetizer and it was incredible.

LOCATION: Telegraph/51st PARKING: Small lot, but free parking! WHAT WE ORDERED: * Tocino ($18) - Simple rice dish that feels very homey -- my favorite part was the meat! * Longanisa Hash ($19) - Easily my favorite dish. The meat was sweeter than I expected. I thought it was gonna be salty, but I liked the sweetness to it! * Pancit Sotanghon ($15) - Can't go wrong with pancit! * Turon ($12) - One of my friends said this was their favorite dessert and I can see why.. so good!!! Slowly making my way through the SF Chronicle's Top 100. With daylight savings, I appreciated the extra hour and decided to get brunch for once! The interior is modern and cozy. We went during brunch, which had a fairly limited menu, but the server mentioned that the dinner menu offered more à la carte options. Regardless, the food was delicious! I don't get Filipino food often, so this was a nice treat. Looking forward to coming back for dinner in the future.

Front: FOB French Toast. Middle: Adobo Fried Rice. Back: Tocino Silog - A table features Filipino breakfast dishes such as tocino silog with fried eggs, adobo fried rice with a fried egg on top, and French toast garnished with strawberries, blueberries, and purple edible flowers. There are also drinks, a glass of water, and utensils in a blue holder. The setting appears to be a Filipino restaurant with a focus on traditional and modern dishes.

1. Location/Parking - Plenty of parking available outside, especially since it's surrounded by other business areas. 2. Operating Hours/Customer Service - The wait time was very reasonable for a weekend, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. 3. Interior - 5/5 The space is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. 4. Price - Prices are fair and reasonable for the quality you get. 5. Food Taste/Quality - Everything tasted great. The adobo fried rice really stood out for me since it really did taste like it. Definitely a must-try brunch spot! Note: The menu isn't very large, but that wasn't an issue at all. Just don't expect a traditional Filipino restaurant--this place offers a more modern style of food/menu

Service was excellent and wait staff were super friendly! Thank you for making our occasion so memorable.

My first time at a Filipino Restaurant and I'll definitely be back. The service was great, my husband and I dined here for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was slow and quiet with a variety of music playing. We ordered Shanghai Lumpia, Lechon Kawali, and Fried Chicken. We also had a mimosa and michelada that I forgot to photograph. An overall good experience.

Sticky Wings - A white oval plate holds glazed chicken wings garnished with chopped green onions. The wings are arranged with some overlapping, and a banana leaf is placed underneath for presentation. A small portion of pickled yellow vegetables is on the side of the plate. The dish is set on a wooden table, with a person in a beige sweater visible in the background, and a white plate with utensils nearby.

FOB kitchen is a worth-try restaurant in Oakland. The food is absolutely delicious. Sticky wings were great. The pork adobo was tender. The sinigang baboy is very unique, and it is a good amount of sour. The restaurant's decoration is special and modern. Staffs are friendly, and they serve your food fast. There is a small parking lot and street parkings available.

Tallboy's martini menu is well-executed. While I didn't personally try one of the slushies, a friend ordered the espresso martini version and gave it a solid thumbs-up. Unfortunately, the experience falls apart when it comes to food and service. Waiting 30+ minutes for two hot dogs (after paying) is hard to justify. When I checked in with a server, she was curt and dismissive. She was quick to explain there was only one person in the kitchen, with no effort to offer a solution, timeline, or even basic courtesy. I understand staffing issues happen. However, customer service is a close second to concept. How an issue is communicated and addressed is what separates good service from bad. What's more frustrating is that these aren't customer problems to absorb. If the kitchen is understaffed, if tables aren't being cleared in a timely manner at a seat-yourself spot, those are management problems. Guests should not have to choose to leave without the food we paid for. There's a lot of competition out there, and concepts alone aren't enough to bring people back. I genuinely wanted that hot dog.
