Authentic, purely Filipino food. I believe the owners are Kapampangan. Immediately felt like a family energy coming in, like your Auntie and cousins are cooking with nieces and nephews around. We posted the crispy lechon, pancit bihon with lumpia and rice. We waited about 20 minutes after ordering. Guested were seated at the bar, and there were a range of tropical canned juices as well. The vibe was very Filipino, with nice Filipino music playing from an upstairs section closed off to guests, where the restroom is located. When passing through to use the restroom, the cooks warmly said hello. Progress updates on our order were provided amidst our wait, and each item was individually placed into our to-go containers. Before sending us on our way with a smile. Parking was super easy, with parking right near the restaurant. Seating and vibe of the spot is very casual, with diner style seating as well as seating along the windows. Very low key. The spot is identifiable by the half Filipino sun, which shows 4 of the 8 rays of the Philippines flag. Portions were well balanced with what we ordered. I'll definitely be coming back to try their Kaldareta, Sinigang, Adobo and Halo Halo over the course of time. Located in Downtown Oakland, Tita Becca's is located near a bar, and is open late. I hope this helps them and that many people come to try them out. For American born Filipino, Tita Becca's will give you a sense of familiarity of foods your Grandparents or Aunts, Uncles or Mom prepared for us all our lives in childhood abc at family parties. Support this business. See you guys again soon! Keep up the good work.

A new neighborhood gem for no frills, tita made Filipino food. I played it safe and got the tocino with garlic rice and a side of lumpia. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the staff was so kind. Excited to try some other dishes including dessert soon!

Authentic Filipino food! Tastes like a warm hug from your Lola--it tastes like home. And that's the real definition of comfort food. The service was good, didn't have to wait too long and the owners are humble, kind, hospitable locals. The vibe is giving late-night diner but make it Pinoy style with r&b music playing. It's a whole vibe! I don't know about y'all, but being able to get Kare Kare or Lumpia or Sisig whenever I crave it, even if it's at midnight is a W for me. I highly recommend giving Tita Becca's a try for authentic, home cooked Filipino food. You won't be disappointed! Dali, kain na!

My partner and I have come to Tita Becca's a few times for a post-bar snack, but this time we made a special trip to have dinner and the food did not disappoint. I ordered the silog rice plate and it was delicious. The tocino and longanisa were cooked perfectly and had a slight sweetness that went well with the fried egg and garlic rice. We also ordered the lumpia which was also fried to perfection. My partner had the Bicol express and was happy with their dish as well. I didn't get a chance to snap a picture before they demolished it. I'm so happy that we have a Filipino restaurant in this part of town. Definitely recommend coming down to check it out. The owner Mark is super sweet and down to earth and fries up chicken perfectly!

The lechon kawali was fire!!! Most definitely a must get

OMG. This is definitely one of those hole-in-the-wall places that completely surprises you…read more We came here because our friend Warren recommended it, and now I understand why. It's tucked away in Oakland in a spot you might easily drive past without noticing. The setup is simple: order at the window, get a vibrating pager, then pick up your food when it's ready. They also have outdoor seating, which is perfect if you're bringing your dog along. They offer all kinds of silog meals, and honestly, before coming here, I thought all silog places were pretty much the same. While standing in line, I had no clue what to order. The special that day was the G Fire Short Ribs, and I kept going back and forth between trying something new or playing it safe. I ended up getting the pork tocino silog, and for the second dish, I almost ordered the spare short ribs. Thank God I got the G Fire Wings instead. OMG. OMG. OMG. These are hands down the BEST wings I've had in the Bay Area. The skin is crispy and crunchy, but the moment you bite in, the meat is unbelievably juicy. Seriously, when do you ever get wings that are actually juicy? Most wings are dry. Not these. The flavor, the sauce, the seasoning--everything is absolutely incredible. It's the kind of food that makes you lick every finger afterward. If it were socially acceptable to eat the bones too, I probably would have. And here's the funny thing: while I was in line, it seemed like everyone ordering was getting the G Fire Wings. Now I know why. If this place were closer to where I live, I'd be here all the time. I'm still thinking about those wings days later. The good news is we go to Oakland at least once a month for hiking and camping, and now Lucky Three Seven is officially part of the tradition. It'll either be our reward after finishing a hike or our stop before heading to camp. Thank you, Warren, for recommending this place. You absolutely nailed it. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambience: 5/5 (simple, casual, outdoor pet-friendly seating) Parking: Street parking; may take a little patience depending on the time of day.

They are located in the Temescal area of Oakland, and they share a building with a Mexican restaurant. There's a parking lot that's shared with a pawn broker, produce market, and check cashing service. Their vibe is urban, with a rainbow flag on their front door, and assortment of plants inside. Other reviewers had mentioned a line upon opening, so we made sure to arrive 15 minutes before they open, but on this Friday morning, there was no one else but us. Our server was friendly, polite, and soft spoken. Their menu is quite small, which I appreciate. There's appetizers, sides, brunch, and dinner -- all on 1 page. Their food was outstanding, with rich flavors and beautifully presented with sauces and pickled radishes. We ordered... + Shanghai Lumpia - these were long, crispy, and properly filled + Daing Na Bangus Silog - deep fried milkfish with salad, garlic rice, and sunny egg. One of our favorites. + Fried Chicken (4-piece) - perfectly crispy and juicy. There's some warm spices in the batter, maybe all-spice. + Adobo fried rice - the pork was so tender, it shreds on your fork. This had a good amount of tanginess that was so good. + Pancit Sotanghon - not your typical pancit. The chopped veggies in this had an almost charred flavor that made the dish so interesting. There was not a bad dish. I definitely recommend this for elevated Filipino food that's not pretentious, with a modern, hip vibe.

I was having one of those stupid-ass days where everything was going wrong. I was overstimulated, pissed off, and completely over tf-ing day- just soooooo over it. I just wanted something quick and easy to eat. But seriously... this place, the food, and OMG the people completely turned my day around. My husband and I ordered the Filipino BBQ Wings and the Bacon Cheeseburger Lumpia to share, and it was so good. Everything was hot and crispy, the sauces were out of this world, and all the flavors blended together perfectly. And again--this was right before closing! No one acted annoyed or inconvenienced that we came in so late, and everything tasted fresh and made to order. The service, though... that's really where it shined. I wish I had everyone's name so I could thank them individually. I actually had fun--at a restaurant--spending money. Everyone was so nice. There were huge TVs above the bar with different sports games on, and free video games to play (I got my ass beat by my 5-year-old at Mortal Comabt ). Another customer, this stunningly gorgeous young woman, even offered me a taste of her Garlic Noodles. I was so jealous of how good her noodles were that I started second-guessing my own order. I'm not kidding--everyone was that friendly and happy. I will definitely be back with friends and family. They have a bunch of different events listed and a lot of outdoor space. It's such a hidden gem with BIG Bay Area energy. It felt like coming home after a terrible day to a good meal made by people who genuinely care. Thank you!!
