Senor Sisig continues to be just great! I had the Crunch-a-dilla the other day. I didn't know what to expect. The menu says to add 10-15 minutes extra for this, so I tried to plan accordingly. Lo and behold, within 20 minutes I get a message that my order is ready! How is that an extra 10 to 15 minutes? I picked it up and walked back to my office. It was still very hot. One bite into it and I was sold. It was absolutely delicious. It was also a fairly good size as well. I ate the entire thing and I was pretty full afterwards. FOOD: Party ordered multiple burritos. They were salty for our liking and didn't have that oomph I typically get when eating Filipino food. It didn't mesh well together imo. YEARS ago I tried one of the food trucks for Senor Sisig and remember not being impressed. Fast forward to now and for a co-workers lunch party we decided to walk over here with about 6 people. Surprisingly during lunch they had plenty of indoor seating. There is a kiosk you can order from or from an actual person. Their menu is pretty solid with plenty of options - burritos, salads, bowls. I will say this - their menu pictures online to NOT do their food justice. Based on the food menu pictures I was convinced that I would leave hunger but after ordering one of their bowls it was stacked with plenty of food AND flavor! The service was pretty quick and everything was very fresh and clean. I really like how they have roll-up windows so it gives an alternative vibe to the area. My first experience with Senor Sisig was having a burrito from their food trucks. Fast forward several years later, I finally had a chance to try some of their other menu items at one of their brick and mortar locations, conveniently located in the East Bay in Oakland. Parking is a bit tough, but free after hours (be sure to read the street signs). The restaurant is bright, has colorful wall murals that feature the Bay Area sports leaders (i.e., Curry, Henderson, Lynch, etc.) and Yay Area Rappers (i.e., Mac Dre, etc.), along with big windows areas that people can enjoy their food next to. There aren't many tables to accommodate large groups, at most maybe some can seat 3-5 people. It's fairly clean inside as well as the bathrooms - a huge plus! You can place your order with the staff or order on the kiosk. Some things to keep in mind is the menu items are a bit higher than a traditional burrito/taco spot; however, the food is a blend of Filipino and Mexican fusion. With their Sisig Tacos, The Senor Sisig Burrito, and California Sisig Burrito, Sisig Nachos, Sisig Fries, Sisig with Steamed Rice, Sisig Salad, you get a choice of pork, tocino, chicken, or tofu. There's also a Vegan menu available too. For most of the mains, you get to select the spice level at no extra charge. This time I tried the Chicken California Sisig Burrito ($16.75), which came out within ~10ish minutes. The burrito was very narrow/long, which made it easier to eat, but felt it lacked flavor and ingredients to make it more fulfilling to eat. The fries were a bit too soggy and perhaps the burrito could use more sauce or seasoning on the chicken to make the experience more delightful. I also tried their Crispy Sinigang Wings ($17) - these were flavorful, tender, and juicy. The side of fries ($3) were fairly basic. My husband and I decided to stop by for dinner since they were on inKind. It has been a while, but I remember that they were located at a different location in Oakland. Anyway, I liked the open space and all the art decor! The restaurant was also extremely clean. There were only a few people inside when we arrived on a Tuesday around 5:30pm. I couldn't order on their kiosk since I was using inKind and needed to enter a check number. We waited about 10 min before the staff brought out our food. I ordered a Pork California Sisig Burrito, and my husband got their Chicken Sisig Crunch a Dilla (similar to a Crunchwrap Supreme). Both items were extremely salty and overpriced in my opinion, especially since there isn't anything special with their food. I was hoping for a different taste this time around, but I was wrong. Not gonna lie, this place was a bit of a let down. Filipino food can be great, but just each thing here was always slightly disappointing compared to what I imagined it could have been. For example, the ube horchata was mostly just milky horchata and barely any ube. On top of that, the milk and cinnamon flavor just felt flat and mass produced. I got the sisig burrito with Tocino, and I could barely tell the meat was there flavor wise. It was mostly just creama and pico with some rice. The place itself was cool, nicely decorated and clean. Not a ton of seating for anything larger than a party of 4 though. Bar area had some TVs. Plenty of street parking. read more

The crunch-a-dilla is absolutely addictive, I always get mine with chicken, no spice, no nacho cheese, and extra tomatillo sauce. So good! Orders are usually ready within 20 minutes too. My wife & I came here on a Sunday right around noon.  We were able to find parking on the street (free on Sundays) without any problems.  We ordered the Lechon Kawali plate and Crispy Sinigang Wings, along with a Calmansi Ginger Limeade (for her) and a Pandan Iced Tea (for me).  The server said that the lechon would take about 20 minutes, which was fine for us.  We took our drinks and sat at the bar.  The TVs on that side of the restaurant were playing random college basketball.  The server asked us if we wanted to watch something else and gave me the remote so I could change it to the NFL playoff game. After a little bit, the server brought us our food, along with a side of white steamed rice.  We started with the lechon plate, piling on chunks of meat inside a corn tortilla, adding in the BBQ sauce and pickled onions.  (While the habanero salsa was very flavorful, it was a bit spicy for our taste).  The pork was chopped small enough to fit inside the corn tortillas, making it easy to eat.  Then, we tried the wings.  The sinigang dry rub gave the wings a great tangy flavor, both by themselves and with the tamarind dipping sauce (which was a little spicy, though less than the salsa).  There were 6 tortillas in the lechon plate and 6 wings in one order, so this was the perfect amount of food for 2 people. Overall, we had a wonderful experience.  The place was busy for a Sunday afternoon. with most of the dine-in patrons also watching sports.  They also had a lot of to-go orders lined up.  But the wait for the food was worth it, and we'll come by again when the Warriors are playing. read more

I stopped here for dinner because my partner always comes here whenever in the area. He couldn't recommend this place enough, however, we both left pretty disappointed. I'd describe the food as "perfectly edible." I had no major complaints besides the fact that we ordered the burritos medium spice and there was no spice to be found. Vegano silog burrito with vegan chicken, no spice: It mostly just tasted like egg and tomato, some parts of the rice and protein were salty and maybe had black pepper too, which I do like. I would probably want to try California burrito next time because it has fries in it which I'm sure would add some crunchy texture as well as tasty salt and fat, and you can modify it to have no guacamole. Vegano chicken taco, asked for no spice and no jalapenos: The vegan chicken definitely tastes like soy meat, for better or worse. It came with two tortillas and cilantro cream sauce. It was just so-so as tacos go, and I don't like cilantro, so I probably wouldn't get this one again. Too Good to Go surprise bags: I've gotten one on two different occasions. The second time, I arrived at the beginning of the pickup window, but needed to wait about 5 minutes for them to prepare the boxes since they weren't actually ready with the surprise bags. But they heaped the container full of rice, guacamole/green sauce, meat (this time it tasted like the vegan meat, whereas the first time I got the surprise bag it was probably actual chicken), beans, and salad. The surprise boxes are definitely a good deal - almost a third of the cost that it normally would for that quantity of food - so it's no wonder I typically see they get bought up very quickly when they get offered on the app. read more

I've been meaning to try Señor Sisig for a long time since I'm Filipino, and this is definitely Filipino-approved. We came to the Oakland location near Lake Merritt and had a great experience. Parking was a little tough since it's downtown street parking only, but it was totally worth it. We ordered the Señor Sisig rice bowl with pork tocino, which is sweet Filipino-style pork. It looked like they charred it a little, which gave it a great smoky flavor on top of the sweet and savory taste. The bowl came with adobo garlic rice and achara, which is a mix of pickled vegetables, cucumbers, jalapeños, and garlic. I usually don't like the sour vinegary flavor, but this one was really balanced and added a nice kick. The rice bowl was $15 and felt like a good value. They gave a generous portion of meat and everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned. You can also get your choice of protein (regular pork, sweet pork tocino, chicken, or tofu) in a burrito, quesadilla, salad, fries, or nachos. They really know how to blend Filipino and Mexican flavors in a way that feels creative but still familiar. The restaurant has a fun atmosphere. It has a Golden State Warriors color theme with blue and yellow, lots of seating, TVs playing games, a bar with adult drinks, and cool artwork. The staff were friendly and the space felt really open and relaxed. They also have other fusion dishes like crispy sinigang wings and ube macapuno churros, which I definitely want to try next time. As long time fans of their food truck, we decided to try the "restaurant experience". Love the vibe with the spot decorated with all the Bay Area greats! I enjoyed the indoor/outdoor feels with the windows fully open. We sat at the bar and after about 10 mins of waiting, we went to the front counter to learn that the cashier/order taker is also the bartender. We got some drinks made and then had to go back to the front counter to order the food. My first cocktail was good, I enjoyed the Mezcal Mangonada cocktail, then my second cocktail had a hair in it, so I switched to beer. The food was fire, to be expected. We ordered the Sisig Crunch-a-Dilla, this has all of the flavors and textures! We loved the nacho cheese dip sauce that elevated all of the flavors. We also got the Sisig Fries with a fried egg, I loved everything about this. Both items were hella good, chef's kiss! Overall, love the vibe and the food!! Didn't love that the bar area wasn't really being served and you didn't really know until you asked. Seemed a bit understaffed when you have the cashier and the cook coming out to make cocktails. The bar area was also infested with fruit flies, so I wouldn't suggest sitting there. Would hope that the operations of the cantina was a bit more put together. I wanted to take a trip to Oakland to go to this restaurant. The restaurant serves Filipino-Mexican fusion cuisine with prioritizing Sisig on burritos, bowls, tacos, and their own Crunchwrap version of it. I heard that it used to be a food truck, but very glad that they got their own place now. This place is very aesthetic associating with GSW colors as well as displaying popular influencers at the walls. I'm quite surprised that there aren't many people in the restaurant but maybe because it's not night already. I really love the food here. Ube Horchata is like a very smooth Ube drink. The Señor Sisig Burrito has all Mexican and Filipino ingredients combined together and blend very good! I ordered no spice on the burrito, but couldn't have gotten mild. Most likely because it's my first time here and want to have a chance to try one with no spice. I'm very likely to come back here since there are plentiful choices here especially the Sisig Crunch-A-Dilla. I was introduced to Señor Sisig at the SF ferry building and am so happy they have an east bay location. The food is so tasty and they serve booze! The " vegano " menu is awesome, and I'm told the non-vegan items are quite delicious as well. I got a salad because I wasn't hungry enough for the other menu items and it was great, way better than expected. I've also really enjoyed the crunch-a-dilla and burritos. Went in later last night and got 2 chicken taco's an order of wings and small side chips with nacho cheese! The tacos were so delicious it was incredible! The portion of the chips and nacho cheese was perfect to hit that craving and not be too little or too much! The wings were super crispy and meaty! The sauce is really good too. I got a burrito with some kind of "sweet pork". This did not taste like your average burrito. It was pretty flavorless, and the pork was a strange texture. The next day my digestive system was off, which I attribute to my dining experience at Senor Sisig. I came here because we went to an event and my husband was starving, as was I. It was his first time here - we chose between this place and another spot that we like. The ambiance is nice and the art and vibe are a love letter to Oakland, CA. But he called me as I was leaving the car to let me know that he made his choice and he picked the lechon. It takes about 20 minutes to prepare and has to be eaten in their store and I understand why. That lechon was on point! It was good, crispy and came with very hot tortillas, tortillas that stayed hot as we ate. There were two sauces - one peanut and the other one a spicy sauce (a little hot) and it had red peppers, which also had a lot of heat. They had pickled red onions which were good. But the combination of it all was super good. Unfortunately, it came with shrimp chips, but I can't eat those, my husband did and he thought they were a nice touch. But the warmth and the crispiness of the pork belly was supper yummy and consistent as I ate. My husband had an IPA which he liked. But I had the guava froze, which was amazing!!! Usually, when I get a small drink like this, I'm disappointed. But the taste was consistent throughout. It was so good! I loved it down to the last sip. It was divine! The only mistep was that they didn't have the mangonada ice cream with the sauce on it. It was good. But I was told that they don't have it any more. Ok, I typically like Senior Sisig and the food is good, but this being my first time at the Oakland location changed my views. The food was ok at minimum. I got the sisig bowl in both chicken and pork. Two different but similar dishes, however both were dry and lacking the "sisig" flavor. I feel i got more onions and chili versus meat. The pork was dry and tasted like ground pork that was overly cooked. The chicken wasn't as dry, but the portion of protein was small. Rice to protein ratio was not even at all. For the price, I feel I could get more authentic sisig with a larger portion elsewhere. Maybe it's just this location, as the SF locations I enjoyed the food at lot more. A staple to the Bay Area. Senor sisig started out as a food truck in SF and then they opened this location in Oakland. When I had last senor sisig, they were only doing take out at this location. I usually get the sisig burrito with an added egg, which I believe comes with a cilantro lime crema. I will say their burritos feel pretty heavy, but that's due to all of the flavor. Definitely ask for the vinegar to help cut through all the richness. Sizewise, it's a bit on the smaller end for the price. I see that they have now opened up the restaurant, and they have drinks now that look bomb. I'll definitely have to try those the next time I come. read more

I've been here twice before going to see performances at the Paramount. I've ordered the Senor Sisig burrito, crispy sinigang wings, and the sisig fries. Service was fast. You can order through the kiosk or with the employee. There's a variety of options to select so that's what brought me back the 2nd time. Can't do wrong with the burrito. I didn't add an egg but should have to get a taste. The sinigang wings were good. The 2nd time I went I got the sisig fries. Kinda wish they gave more fries.
