This place is amazing, and I'm so sad they're closing within the next month! Everything about this dining experience is top notch. Warm, lively vibe. Great service. Absolutely delicious and creative menu. Fantastic cocktails. Looking forward to what they announce regarding their next business venture.

Easily one of the top ten meals I've had in 2026. Plenty of neighborhood parking on a Saturday early evening. The restaurant itself is beautiful but unpretentious. Staff was phenomenal and super welcoming with great suggestions. We ordered the prix fixe meal which included a soup, amuse bouche, starter, main and dessert. It was almost too much food but we happily took leftovers home. The Vidalia onion bisque was super flavorful and gazpacho with strawberries was unexpected and delicious. Grilled housemade focaccia w/carrot fennel butter & za'atar (we wished there was an entire plate of the carrot fennel butter to spread on that light-as-air focaccia. The masa sopes were reminiscent of a tamale (albeit a slightly drier texture) with smoked sweet potato, tomatillo & jicama salsa fresca, and black bean & huitlacoche puree. The sweet potatoes were fire (I'm not usually a fan) and I've always wanted to try huitlacoche and it did not disappoint. We also sampled the popular "calamari" (oyster mushrooms), Millennium burger (black lentil, pecan, sunflower patty), as well as the Cascatelli pasta w/almond ricotta. All were mouth wateringly good. We ended the dinner with the lemon cheesecake (very good) and tropical sago with sorbet (the texture wasn't for me since I'm not much of a pudding fan) but the flavor was excellent. The beverages were also done very well, so much so that we renamed their Sad Boy Summer cocktail Bad Boy Summr ;) The dinner was 5 stars down to the damn coffee finale. Hats off to a very inventive menu.

For our anniversary this year, my partner and I picked Millennium as the spot for our celebratory dinner. Ok, that's not entirely true. I picked the restaurant, and RB graciously agreed; it will be the day when my keto partner picks an all-vegan restaurant. I have had Millennium on my list for a while. Upscale vegan - how cool! I've been dabbling in vegetarianism and veganism on and off, and am very interested in learning about all that can be done to create inventive, flavorful vegan dishes. We arrived for our 6pm reservation early, happy to wait at the bar, but our table was ready for us, and we were seated right away. After perusing the menus carefully, I opted for the prix fixe menu ($72). The courses included: -Amuse Bouche: House-made focaccia with olives, mushrooms, and a carrot spread. -Glazed Turnip & Wild Rice Salad -Butternut Squash Carrot Scallion Cakes -Polenta Gratin -Ice Cream Sandwich Everything was good. Great flavors and presentation. I loved the carrot spread used in a couple of the dishes. Carrot is such a versatile and tasty vegetable, and pairs well with pretty much anything; and so dang good for you - look up the benefits of beta-CAROTene! The polenta gratin was the most hearty and substantial part of the meal. Very satisfying especially on a cold night. Unfortunately, I did not get a photo before digging in. Next time we will probably share one prix fixe meal. I would say it's enough for two people, unless you're really hungry. RB selected from the main menu, and went with the Millennium Burger. The black bean patty was tasty, and we both enjoyed it. I think it would be great in a lettuce wrap as well. I had the Chinese Apple cocktail, which was good. Interesting flavors, and just enough sweetness. My partner had the espresso martini, which he says is one of the best espresso martinis he's had. Service was good, but on the slower side. I hope they will consider hiring more people, there certainly seems to be enough volume to justify it. The place was packed out on a Saturday night. Our server Misha was very nice. Millennium definitely satisfied my expectations. It takes creativity and talent to create appealing, satisfying dishes that use no animal products, nor franken-food ingredients. Everything I tasted here appeared to have been made from whole, healthful ingredients. I would love to see more all-vegan restaurants like Millennium, and am surprised there aren't more in the Bay Area of all places. I'm happy I got to cross Millennium off my wish list. We will return.

Anniversary dinner time. This year we went vegan at my partner's request.  She doesn't get to decide on anniversary, birthday, or Valentine dinners anymore. So in Serbia it's ok to abstain from meat a bit for religious stuff but the powers that be see veganism and vegetarianism as a attack on Serbian culture and will not be tolerated. Serbia, a carnivores dreamland. Back to the review. So the biggest almost faux pas of the night!!! As we were heading out the door I realized I was wearing a leather jacket.  Hhhhhmmm wearing leather at a vegan restaurant,  maybe bad form, I changed. It was good but there was no meat. I'm not a hard core carnivore at all but I do enjoy a nice rib eye. My partner less so,  dabbling in the veggie/vegan space more. We got there before out resy time and they were able to seat us. Started off the evening with an espresso martini and my partner had a Chinese Apple concoction. Both good. My espresso martini was one of the best I've had.  Not sweet at all. Lots of coffee flavor basking in alcohol. For dinner my partner had the prix fix menu consisting of all kinds of stuff and I had the Millennium Burger. (see pictures for menu items) Everything she had was tasty and my burger was  very good. We had plates to share all of the dishes. It was all very filling to the point we both ended up packing up some of it to take home. The service was good and the place was nice. Our resy was for 6 on Saturday and very quickly the place was packed. I though thought we were going to be the only ones there.  Who knew there were this many vegans. Oh wait, it is in Bezerkeley!!!!! Well close. Actually im Oakland but city limit is close. Get the bleed over effect.

Service was pretty great, very fast and they checked in and refilled water. We had accidentally left a credit card there and they called within 10 minutes so they clear the tables pretty fast but wait for you to leave first. Ambiance was nice and intimate, but not too loud. This would be a good date spot for vegetarian food. Food was okay, might have been slightly overpriced for the flavors. I think the shaved asparagus salad and the tempeh were very well done, the fried mushrooms and the curry were a bit too sweet for my tastes. The millennium burger was a typical vegetarian burger, the "patty" was more beany than other black bean burgers I've tasted and less meaty if that makes sense? But overall I would come again if someone wanted to come, wouldn't go out of my way though.

Once again, another 5-star night! Of course, I've been back a number of times since my previous review but thought it was time to add an update. We attended the Annual Pumpkin Dinner and although costumes were optional, that's not an option for me! Costumes made the night extra-fun! When I was setting up reservations the patio was full so I thought that I would choose sitting at the bar for something different. It was fun to sit there, watch drinks getting made, and seeing everyone else enjoying their meals. Service continues to be impeccable. Instead of ordering my usual Brut, I opted to get the Purity Wine pairing. Now I need to find out how to get a bottle of that Zin! So many highlights with the courses. The spiced pumpkin & walnut spread, the seared pumpkin mochi, the entire salad (I would love to have the creamy pumpkin ranch dressing on my favorite Little Gems salad), pumpkin gravy, and the pumpkin masa picadita. The desserts were also a hit. The Candied Kabocha Creme Brulé was served in one half of a squash. Great presentation. I love making vegan conchas for a breakfast pastry, but after last night's Maple Pumpkin Conchas with candied pumpkin ice cream I plan to turn them into a dessert this holiday season! Millennium continues to impress with their inventive and flavorful always vegan menu and their knowledgeable and friendly staff!

Millennium was on my list since a very long time and finally got a chance to visit. Right from their service, food, ambiance- everything was perfect! Audrey, who was our server was friendly, gave us great recommendations for drinks and food. We got their zero proof drinks - one of the best ones- very refreshing, not too sweet. Butternut squash uttapam, sweet potato golden split pea kofta were delicious. We ended the dinner with sesame cardamom cake which was absolutely outstanding. Portion size was good for 2 people. And for presentation Highly recommend it.

I went to Millenium to wait out rush hour traffic, and ended up having a very luxurious entirely vegan meal. We got the beets and the crusted oyster mushrooms, the cornmeal crusted maitake, and the polenta gratin. Dining out at vegan restaurants can be full of fake protein and breaded nonsense. Millenniums menu is full of nourishing ingredients in surprising combinations - such as the risotto created from farro that came with the maitake dish. Our server was incredibly kind and patient and attended to allergies and answered all of our menu questions. The Cabernet was far and above my favorite wine, but the china apple cocktail was delicious too. The restaurant has an indoor dining area, but you'll want to head to the patio. Heat lamps create a cozy environment - don't forget to ask for a complimentary blanket! :). Thanks Millenium for a wonderful meal. Next time, I'll have to try dessert! ;)

I came on a Monday for Oakland restaurant week, so while this might not be the typical experience, I thoroughly enjoyed and I'm so glad they participated restaurant week because now I want to come back! Minimally and beautifully decorated, this fine dining restaurant had indoor and outdoor seating, both of which compliment the elegant yet somewhat Bay Area casual vibe. On occasional Mondays, they open for Above Ground which has some of the best pizza (vegan and not) I have ever had. Absolutely phenomenal, I didn't think I could finish a whole one but I couldn't resist ha. The chocolate mousse with the banana cream was also amazing! The staff were all friendly and attentive. I appreciate them not being too stuffy like some fine dining places. I can't wait to come back and try their regular menu!

I came here with some vegan friends and was really impressed with the food and service! First off, they gave us some fried mushrooms that the chef made an extra batch of, and they brought a water dish for my pup on the back patio. The food itself is very good. We tried a few things, pickled veggies, winter salad, potatoes with aioli. All of it was delicious. For a main I also had the mushroom pasta carbonara dish. Absolutely loved it! And I am not vegan!

I last reviewed Millennium way back in 2016. Fast forward nearly a decade later. My uncle and I have birthdays a few days apart separated by several generations. We each learn from each other. He is a vegetarian longer than I am alive. I am a longtime vegan. Birthdays only happen once every 365 days or 366 days on a leap year so we decided to come to Millennium to mark the occasion. It was Friday January 31, 2025. We each decided to splurge on the tasting menu. Four courses on the menu. We started with splitting the first course. Homemade focaccia with dips and olives. For the second course I went with the Scallion Griddle Cake. This was my pick half a dozen appetizers to choose from. For the main I went with the Red Wine and Miso Glazed Lions Mane Mushroom with Creole inspired Fresno Chili Hot Sauce and Toasted Pecans. There were seven mains to choose from. To finish it off the fourth course was one of three desserts. I went with the Cherry Hazelnut Brownie. All in all solid meal. Great flavors and presentation. Friendly service especially from the front of the house. Ambiance was just fine. I especially loved that it was fully booked and so many folks were enjoying vegan cuisine. My uncle did enjoy his meal paired with a glass of wine. I think he gave it three stars yet he is a tough critic. He did appreciate the service and we did mix it up since the bill was over $100 each. We don't normally more than a Franklin note a dinner yet again special occasion. Bummed we both missed Chef Eric Tucker who has been at it for many decades now. I once met Chef Eric Tucker way back in 2002 during my first trip to San Francisco when Millennium was in the Tenderloin in San Francisco getting to speak to him then for a hot minute. Chef Eric Tucker, Sous Chef Tyler Jaye, and Pastry Chef Lilly Quintana work with the fabulous staff here to continue to dish up amazing fine dining vegan cuisine. Check them out!

My husband treated me to an amazing 4 course meal here for my birthday & it did not disappoint! We made a reservation just in case, & I'm glad we did because it was pretty busy. The staff was very attentive & made the night even more special. I loved the mood lighting & decor as well! Each 4 course prix fixe meal was about $74/person I believe, & the drinks were pricey as well, but everything tasted absolutely incredible -- and no animals were harmed in the making! I definitely want to come back & try some of their a la carte dishes, as well as more of their tasty drinks!

The service was excellent from start to finish. I asked the server for recommendations across the board and loved every suggestion. I was offered an orange-skinned contact wine that was fantastic and paired beautifully with the tostada, which was phenomenal.
