Ambiance was good, but it's tiny. Service was fair, guests on the patio do not seem to get as much attention. The food was horrible. It did not taste Brazilian in the least, and it did not taste good. Wish I had read the description as the advertisement is focused on wine bar and not a restaurant or food. That being said, if you wanna high price glass of wine go for it, but I would not recommend eating there. It is very pricey as well. read more

Found this gem on Google because I really wanted a charcuterie board lol. They do not gave tons of reviews, but what is there.. made me want to try it out. My wife and I entered and it was not crowded. However, there were 2 groups of people there and they seemed to be enjoying themselves. We were immediately greeted and seated. Once seated, we were greeted by the owner (Did not know she was the owner at the time..lml). She informed us of what came with the Charcuterie Board and we chose Fontaine over Goat cheese (My wife does not like goat cheese). We ordered the codfish cakes. She provided us with some wine selections and even offered some to be tried (Free) to help with deciding. My wife chose a Rose and I chose a Malbec. When the Board came, we were amazed at the presentation. When are tasted it, we fell in love lml. Everything went together so well.. including the wine we decided to pair with it. We complimented every bite to once another. The codfish cake was seasoned, lightly battered and full of fish. It was served with olive oil and lime. So so so good!!!! We enjoyed 2 glasses of wine during our time. The Board was enough to share between 2 ppl. If it is more than 2 ppl, you will need to add/pay for additional items. We received great conversation from the owner. My wife at some point asked her she was the in fact the owner and she did yes. Her name is Diva (Might be misspelled...def get real name, but that is exactly how she is). She was so personalable, honest, transparent, and full of smiles. Oh.. they have live music on Saturdays beginning at 7pm. They rotate the genres. They spay have a heated outdoor patio with seating that we will try next time. I think we found out wine bar joy. Father's Day fun! Going on walks, I'd pass by this newer spot and have always been curious. My Pop expressed interest as well and we came here to celebrate. Obsessed with the wine bar vibes! We sat inside where there was bar seating and some cute tables for pairs of parties of four. The wallpaper is so freaking cool and I love the blue hues! The decor too is so fun, no minimalism here it's all things tropical. There is also a well-lit outdoor patio. Another bonus is it's an extremely dog-friendly spot (dogs allowed inside and outside), so my pup enjoyed hanging out inside with us! Service was great, the owner was great our server was helpful and our items came out fast. We were one of the only ones so it was nice to have almost the entire place! I can't seem to say I've had Brazilian food so I was looking forward to trying theirs! I had the Bolinho De Bacalhau which was a special and the Empanada De Grango. The former was great, loved the codfish and how crispy it was. The sauce complimented it well. I enjoyed my empanada too, lots of new flavors for me! My family also had their shareables and we finished almost everything. Pup enjoyed snagging some of my greens. I'm a fan of this spot! Good vibes, foods, and drinks in a low-key environment. A great little wine bar with some quaint back patio vibes. On a Saturday early evening, a few other people were there. Live jazz started at 7, however we didn't stay. My friend and I nestled in a booth and ordered from a fairly limited wine by glass menu. They also have bottles for retail sale, but I'm unsure if you can buy and open onsite. Wines available were fine - I'd love to see more locally produced options. Food wise: they have a limited menu including charcuterie and Brazilian empanadas and cheese bread. We ordered a $7 empanada. While it was tasty, I wouldn't say it was worth that price tag, as it was rather small. Potentially an option for 2 for $10 down the line? Overall, a really cute and neighborhood-y gem for some wine and to enjoy the charming space or the back patio on those warmer days/evenings. read more

Wish I had taken photos, but this just means I need to come back in the future and take some! Hats off to owner, Diva, for creating such a warm, vibrant, and welcoming space for all. The wine selection is abundant, and the wine flight is especially a steal - you can sample multiple wines on the menu for a very reasonable price. Paired with the tinned mussels, which were served along with little pieces of bread, this was honestly a wonderful way to end the evening. They also host music nights and other fun events for the local community/customers to enjoy. Cheers to this amazing business, and the way they give back to the community! I will be back! read more

I may have found a new favorite in North Berkeley! Adega Azul is a small, whimsical spot with beautiful, eclectic decor... perfect for a small, intimate hangout. I love the calm ambiance and can see that a lot of thought and care has gone into making the space cozy. Of course, I can't neglect the wine selection! They have a robust selection of old and new world wines, and the owner is super excited to talk you through different options. It's a no fuss, no frills, no mansplaining (ugh) approach to wine and food that I love. A flight of four wines, with really generous pours is $28. Definitely won't break the bank and an ample amount for two people to share. Big plus that it's a woman-owned/run business! I'll definitely be back and excited to participate in some of their community events/wine club membership. read more

Came here in August. We were originally going to go to Headlands but wanted empanadas so came here instead. Great place. Kind and friendly staff. Beautiful inside and outside patio. We enjoyed a bottle of sparkling wine with our snacks, Portuguese cheese bread and empanada. We didn't realize they were closing - closed and they kindly let us finish our bottle. A lovely place to sit, relax, read a book and just be. This was my second visit. I sat inside and enjoyed a delightful charcuterie board and fantastic Sancerre wine. It was the perfect ending to a day. Previously, I sat outside in the backyard seating area. There's also an attached Airstream like trailer that serves ice cream. This Brazilian wine bar is fantastic! The indoor ambiance gives off cozy-homey vibes - like having a delicious meal and great drinks at the home of your favorite hostess with the mostest. There's also a charming outdoor space with heated lamps for when the weather cools down. Also, the weekend live music is a nice touch. The food? Fresh, authentic, and absolutely delicious. Everything we tried - the burrata salad, empanadas, croquettes, and pastel de guayaba (a flaky pastry filled with sweet guava paste and cheese) was divine! And the wine list? Perfectly curated. My wife and I came by the Westbrae neighborhood to have a little Oktoberfest celebration at Headlands Brewing but were drawn to this wine bar across the street instead. So glad we did! The Brazilian-inspired spot offers great indoor and outdoor seating, a fabulous wine selection and delicious appetizers. We had the cheese plate and the burrata.
