Cheap + yummy margs on Tuesday and fun taco Tuesday deals!! gets super crowded on taco Tuesday with colleges students but overall it's a fun time

A Berkeley staple! Raleigh's is definitely a go-to spot in Berkeley both during the day and night. It's a nice spot to grab a tasty and affordable bite to eat. The portions are large! The nachos are an all-time tasty fav. The drink prices are a bit high but are definitely tasty and strong! There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The inside area can get busy to the point where it's difficult to move so I recommend eating outside. One of the outdoor patios is shared with the neighboring business, Mezzo's and is not 21+. The second patio is 21+ and features another bar, tables, TVs, bocce ball, and corn hole. The vibes are very reminiscent of a beer garden. The service is pretty good too! The bartenders are very nice and quick. If you order food, they'll give you a number and bring it out whenever it's ready. Even when it's busy, the servers don't seem to have trouble finding you. Raleigh's is the place to be on Taco Tuesdays. It's the first stop in the Berkeley area bar rotation. You'll find cheap tacos and margaritas (don't expect taco truck quality food though). Be sure to get there early in the evening because it gets packed!

    Spicy Cesar Wrap

I decided to try out Raleigh's for lunch after seeing a video online raving about their spicy chicken Caesar wrap. The setting is very casual--you order at the bar, and they bring the food to your table. Overall, the food was just okay. We got the fries, which were pretty standard, but the chipotle sauce helped elevate them. My mom and sister ordered the Brussels sprouts and chicken wings; they really enjoyed the wings but weren't fans of the sprouts, which were undercooked. The chicken Caesar wrap was definitely the highlight--it had good flavor and lived up to the hype. Mid food and mid vibes. Probably won't be returning.

Raleigh's Pub is such a sweet find. If you're a fan of Mezzo in Berkeley, you may know about this spot already since their backyard space is right next door..but if you're still reading this and looking for an outdoor spot to meet friends and enjoy the weather, a brew, and some yummy pub grub, this is for sure a fun one. Our group ordered a burger and fries, nachos, and brews..all incredibly solid. Juicy meat, crunchy fries, all the dipping sauces, and honestly..I'm always a fan of pub nachos and these were nicely executed. The interior is perfect to get cozy for a game or two, and there's also an even more cozy interior fire pit/spot to get warm. Lotsa foot traffic for CAL events and holidays, we somehow have been here the last few Paddy days (I think they still do green beer?). Regardless give it a go if you're in the mood to wind down or up. Fair pricing, fun food menu and people, and just a good time. There is a garage close-by we usually park in bc street parking is most likely a no-go, although we've been lucky a feeeew times!

Happy hour $6 wine and sangria
    Nastaran A.

Love a good happy hour and this place had $6 happy hour wine! That's right up my alley :) I got their sangria and it was delish. They have a really cute back patio area that's vibey with the plants, natural light, and also cute twinkle lights. I haven't tried their food, but I did get a sandwich at Mezzo which is connected next door and that good! Decent price for a large sando.

Great food, good, to the point service. Don't get me wrong the service here is great, but it's a pub grub type of place and they serve you without bugging you. Everything here is tasty with burgers, sandwiches, sliders , salads and more, including a wide brew selection. If you're around UC Berkeley, try this and avoid the touristy dives. This one's for real.

Nestled in the heart of Berkeley on Telegraph Raleigh's is a great option for lunch, dinner or happy hour. Great good great and cocktail selection. Outside and indoor dining. This you can choose the ambience. Great food options for all palettes

    Beer garden

Sold 3 stars but I added an extra for nostalgia. I remember when this pub opened, was sad when it burned and happy with its resurrection. If you're looking for a fun spot with a great outdoor beer garden this is your spot. Great local beer selection, decent pub food. I am a sucker for nachos and they do them well. Skip the wine stick to beer. GO BEARS!

    Lemon pepper wings
    Ralph L.

Don't get the lemon pepper they salt them to the max !!! The only reason they get a five star is for the amount of chicken wings. They're lucky I wasn't picky about it being too salty because it was crazy salty however nextime I'll just try something else

Burn from the fireplace that's located inside and turned on even when line for drinks is backed up closely to it

Great place & definitely a regular attendee but this past week I was burned by the horribly placed fire pit inside the building. Lines were insane to get a drink and I was shoved into it resulting in a bad burn. Makes me a bit scared, not going to lie! With how busy it gets from the college students I think it is a huge hazard and should be turned off for Tuesdays..

    Anna H.

Ambiance: There is inside and door seating both are built very comfortably and warm. The outside seating is super aesthetic, especially at night as they have string lights hung up. There is a lot of seating options so regardless of your party size you will definitely find a table there. Service: the service was super nice and it seems like they also celebrate 21st birthdays very well as we saw a group of girls celebrating their 21st birthday and they were allowed to be on top of the bar table for their first drink as per their request, which I'm sure made it memorable for them. Food: the chicken wings were super crispy and the sauce was heaven! It tasted like sweet and sour sauce and dipping it with the ranch was just the perfect combination. I would definitely recommend this place

Ask the Community - Raleigh's Pub

Can I smoke in the outdoor patio in the back?

    No.

Can I go with a friend for dinner who isn't 21?

They only start going 21+ past a certain point in the night like a lot of bar/grill places. IIRC it's around 8PM, but you can probably give them a call to ask too!

The young people today I have lots of sympathy for. The 50 year olds could get away with earning $50k/yr - the 40 year olds could get away with earning $100k/yr but the 20 and 30 year olds in the bay area with 2 kids need to earn $200k in their household to make ends meet. I couldn't find the horseradish tonight. I've been coming in here for several years and I really dig it. Very special people hang out here, kind of a hippie Berkeley vibe. When trying to decide where to get dinner on Main Street, we couldn't make a decision. My husband suggested Cameron's so we drove over. Dog Friendly: Lucked out with a spot in front of the patio! Lucked out with a table (anywhere) to sit with our dog. They offer water bowls and toys to play with while we're dining. My dog was able to chill for the most part (larger dogs make our rescue pup nervous) but he liked the couple behind us. Eclectic: It's a cool place with different dining areas. They were setting up for Karaoke (Friday/Saturday nights). There's so much to explore with all the knick knacks. The playlist in the dining room area was a wide range of music - I don't know how to explain it but you're listening to "It's a Small World" and then "Sweet Caroline!" You have to see it for yourself. The gender assigned restrooms are located in between the pinball machines. I literally walked outside and then walked back in when I finally found it and was embarrassed! Food: We split the special of the day - prime rib sandwich, but my husband was still hungry and we split a sampler platter. The food was what I expected - pub grub but it was worth it with the vibe. Drink: I usually don't drink but their cocktails were really good. I forgot what I had but it was the rum based drink. He tried adding some HP sauce to a few bites, adding salt and pepper, and just could not make it edible. he was really disappointed because that is one of his favorites. I told him he should mention it and see if they could bring him something else, but he was adamant that would just make more work for them and he'd feel bad. I did remind him that shepards' pie is not a very seasoned meal. And he said it wasn't just that, but that everything tasted like it came out of tin. I reminded him, as a human who has lived in England, that this was also not out of the ordinary. We did decide we'd try it again next time we were over that way, and he already has chosen something else to try, so the rest of it (including his Mango Cider) was good enough to have him not give up on it. My wife and I had just visited Abbey Tavern this past weekend, a premier Scottish pub in the City, and we expected a similar atmosphere. However, the moment we showed up, we were met with great disappointment. The Goose & Fern is honestly a terrible place to watch a sports match: there was only a single TV mounted in the back corner of the restaurant, the TV wasn't particularly large, and the speakers had been turned completely off. What a bust. Although the food was decent, especially the Shepherd's pie -- which came piping hot in a small cast iron skillet, the service was downright dreadful and almost non-existent. We never received waters (or were even asked if we wanted beverages), our table wasn't given enough silverware, we were never checked on during the meal, and we were waiting around for 30 minutes twiddling our thumbs before somebody from our party finally went up to try to pay for the check. In hindsight, a tip was not warranted for the lack of service. Overall, Yelp grossly misled me on The Goose & Fern. This is not a spot I would stop by again to watch a sporting match. If you're in this part of Santa Rosa, do yourself a favor and head over to Dave and Busters down the street where they have a bunch of massive screens, tons of beer options, and service that will far surpass what you're getting here.

The Hispanic male employee I interacted with was unfriendly, unapproachable, and unable or unwilling to answer even basic questions, repeatedly telling me to contact sales. While I understand that sales handles bookings, I expected someone who works at the venue to be able to provide some level of assistance or information. Unfortunately, his attitude remained the same during the event. Several things that had been requested were not set up as discussed, and the overall atmosphere felt unwelcoming. What upset me most was that some of my guests arrived carrying water bottles, and this employee openly told me, in front of my guests, that he would kick us out if he sees outside drinks again. I found this incredibly embarrassing, unprofessional, and completely inappropriate. The experience became so uncomfortable that many of my guests left early. For what was supposed to be a special occasion, the service and treatment we received fell far below expectations. Considering the amount spent, I expected professionalism, hospitality, and a welcoming environment. Unfortunately, we received the opposite. I would not host another event here, nor would I recommend this venue to others looking for a place to celebrate an important occasion.
