I'm born and raised in this neighborhood on 22nd ways going here. In the early 2000s - 2015 was when they were at their prime for me. But since then and nowadays they have tougher competition that I prefer to go to over them and recently started to develop a hate and love relationship here. It used to be my die hard go to taco truck. This truck for me makes delicious carnitas burritos and pollo tacos. And a sleeper is the al pastor burrito and suadero tacos. That al pastor isn't made from the trompo but the seasoning and juiciness of their version in the burrito is what makes it one of the best burrito options on there if you haven't tried it. Carnitas burritos is super delicious because you get that nice crispiness of the fried tender pork with the rice, cheese and sour cream. I like to ask for onions, cilantro and tomato in mines for variety and freshness to cut the heaviness of the fats and dairy. Tacos I normally would get or recommend is the Carnitas, Pollo, Cabeza, Suadero, and Asada. Carnitas are as delicious as explained with the burrito. Pollo or known as chicken tacos are super tender and juicy. It's also very flavorful, and one of my favorite chicken tacos to get here because most places don't make chicken very well and are usually very dry. The cabeza is super tender and a great option. Suadero just like the asada is just a better version of the asada cut. It's packed with more flavor and seasoning than the asada and slightly more tender which is why I prefer it to the regular steak. I tend to find the asada more dry and sometimes tough. Recently the pricing doesn't reflect on the fairness of the portion size. $4 tacos but the meats aren't as packed. Felt like they started to skimp because of rising costs but has been happening before then. $15 burrito but the sizing isn't as filling as it used to be. I started to see more rice than meat. They've also started to be very stingy with a huge attitude especially the gentleman that works on the pick up station when asking for extra pickled veggies, limes and salsa. And it happens every time for the past several years now. For example he gave me 2 limes, 4 pieces of sliced pickled carrots, 2 slices of pickled jalapenos, 3 radishes, and 1 rojo salsa for an order of a super burrito and 7 tacos. When I asked for extras the gentleman gave me an attitude and said he already did and won't give more. Only reason I still go here is because it's close to home and if my favorite spots for tacos are closed for the night. read more

Wow wow wow!!! They have really outdone themselves with the revamp of their super shrimp burrito. I remember when their prices increased and I did not feel like any of the burritos were worth it, but I would pay every bit of the $23 I spent today on the super shrimp burrito! They have added tomato, bell pepper, and maybe jalapeño to it. I don't typically enjoy spicy foods, but it was the perfect combination of mildly spicy, savory, flavorful seasoned goodness. The service was okay. I appreciated how the lady at the cashier let me sample some of the frescas. i've tried the location in berkeley and it was pretty good. i work around the corner and saw the truck and thought to stop by. once i got home and cut my burrito in half and took a bite and found a fucking rock in my burrito. when i called them they awnsered and i told them what happened the line went dead and i got no response. after calling about 5 more times it kept saying busy this was around 6:20pm 3/30/26 i don't recommend this place as finding a rock in my burrito is nasty as shit. they also didn't give me a refund or offer a remake. but i wouldn't eat here again as im truly disgusted by the quality and lack thereof. read more

Tacos Sinaloa is my go-to taco place in Oakland and just the East Bay in general. All of their tacos are so tasty and the service is always consistently top notch. Sinaloa is a coastal state in Mexico, so they offer amazing seafood dishes like tostadas with shrimp and octopus and great fish tacos. This their first location and most spacious in Oakland. I tend to order the same options, Suadero and Cabeza tacos. Every once in a while I order Al Pastor or Carnitas to change it up a bit. The Ambiance is nice, you definitely feel Oakland energy in this neighborhood and they have several parking spaces available. I always take new friends or Family that are visiting to grab some amazing food and take in the local culture. Grab some tacos and enjoy the seafood as well along with some tasty Agua Fresca options. I have visited this taco truck many times, but the last three visits in the last 3 months I had different experiences when ordering food, and it makes no sense. I always order the vegetarian tacos: Visit one, I ordered and asked for the cheese and sour cream on the side, the cashier told me they cannot put it on the side, and if they put it on the side she would need to charge me extra.I got the tacos without it. Visit two on December, 23 2025, around 6 pm I ordered and the cashier told me no problem, we can put it on the side with no added charge as the vegetarian tacos come with it included based on the menu displayed outside of the truck. I told her I had been told before that I would be charged if they put it on the side, and she said that was wrong as the vegetarian tacos have the sour cream and cheese included regardless of whether it is on the tacos or on the side.. Visit three, on January 4th 2026 around 6 pm, I ordered and the cashier told me if she put the sour cream and cheese on the side she would need to charge me extra, I either had them with or without but was unable to put it on the side. I explained that last time the cashier said the opposite, the tacos come with it so we can surely put it on the side without an added charge". She just proceeded to tell me I just work here and do as I am told, and I would need to charge you. See the issue here is the inconsistency in how orders are done based on your cashiers, perhaps you should train people to know and provide the same information rather than making customers pay extra for something included in the menu, otherwise, provide a discount to the client when they are not given the cheese and sour cream on the side that came with the plate.
