Tacos Mi Rancho used to be my family's go to burrito spot, but after tonight we won't EVER be back. My kids went to grab dinner, ordered two steak burritos and an order of steak fries. They got the steak fries right, but instead of steak burritos we received two chicken burritos. We called to let them know the order was incorrect and the guy who answered insisted that we ordered chicken. We most definitely didn't. He said he would replace them and he asked that we bring the chicken burritos back. This was already an inconvenience because we live 15 minutes away, so gas was wasted getting all the way over there and back. When they were picked up, instead of owning up to his mistake, the guy still insisted that we ordered chicken. Again, we did not. While we finally had what we ordered, the steak burritos were smaller and barely had any meat in them, while the incorrect order were chock full of chicken. These are hands down the best nachos I've ever had. I ordered through DoorDash and was able to make adjustments to my order over the phone when I realized I forgot to request chips on the side. They also provided me with radishes and jalapeños as I requested, which was fantastic. I had just gotten paid, so I felt I was destined to treat myself. I got a carnitas burrito, 2 carne asada tacos, and a Jamaica drink. Sad to report that the best thing was the drink Instead of carnitas, they gave me Al pastor. It made the tortilla wet and chewy in not a good way. And the carne asada was dry and tasteless. This one is probably ONE OF THE BEST IN THE BAY AREA. prices have went up but they compensate very well with the meat and toppings they put on them tacos therrr. When our power went out during the storm and I wasn't able to cook, I took a chance to go to Tacos Mi Rancho with the hopes that this part of Oakland had power and I'm glad it did. Truth be told, I've been coming here for more than 10 years. I just love their tacos and service. I've only had good experiences here. I'm happy I arrived when I did because shortly after I arrived, a massive line grew. They are often busy, but this was a lot of people. I ordered a Carne Asada Taco with onions and cilantro, my usual. Steak was delicious and paired perfectly with the onions, cilantro, and their flavorful green salsa on the side.
