I bought a burrito today from this establishment and I had to wait damn near 30 minutes for one burrito and a drink... To make it worse, I was passed up in orders. So good! The quesatacos are bomb. We always get the chorizo and al pastor, and they never disappoint. My kids got the chicken tacos and the chicken was marinated really well. I really like the way they wrap the tacos to go. The put carrots that are fresh and crispy, jalapeños, and the salsa on the side. The staff was cool and friendly, and the wait was about 10-15 minutes even though they're pretty busy . The dragon fruit lemonade was sooo good! Great service and the food was A-1. What you see in the pic is called a grill cheese turf and surf. I believe the bread was either brioche or Texas toast smothered in cheese topped with tender seasoned steak and juicy shrimp was something I have never had before..chefs kiss I also chased it down with passion fruit (which was a little sweet) but still delicious. This would be the best burrito truck in the Bay and therefore all of California, if they weren't open just 5 hours and closed by 4pm. The location is also in the (what some consider the gentrified) hood with no where to park, so you really have to jump through hoops and over ladders just to place an order. Best quesabirria in Oakland. Forreal! The salsas are very flavorful, so ask for extra if you can! The service used to be painfully slow but they've improved a lot since opening, but now there is usually a wait because it's so dang good and there's a line! Parking is bountiful although the potholes in deep east Oakland can be treacherous so drive carefully. In terms of ambiance, it's usually located close to the Coliseum bart station near the warehouses. The only thing you'll kneed to be careful of--they close kinda early (3pm) and they sometimes change locations, so be sure to check their IG to make sure their at their usual spot near the Coliseum bart station. Also check to see what daily specials they have, they have some interesting drinks. I wasn't a fan of the super-sweet fruity pebbles drink but I could see how others are into it. For the longest I've drove past El Sazon and never paid much attention to it. Always packed and busy and it still took me a year to finally try it out. They have 22 food items to choose from. I think the most popular is the quesabirria and the surf & turf which is a steak and shrimp taco. I think they go for about $4 and $7 each with the most expensive being the steak and shrimp. They also have birria sliders and birria sandwiches. Pretty much any dish you can think of has birria on it. The tortillas for the quesabirria and surf & turf are huge. Smaller tortillas for regular tacos. Certain food items are really good. Stay away from el pastor because it doesn't taste how pastor should taste. They also have special drinks that change from day to day. You need to check their IG to see what special drink they will have for that day. When I was there I only saw to people working. One was cooking and another was taking orders, giving out food and making special drinks. People in line have to wait for orders to be giving out before they can place an order. If they had an extra person to give out food and make drinks would be better but I guess it's too much for them to do. With only two people working your wait time is going to be 15 minutes but in reality it will be close to 30 minutes. There's also plenty of street parking. read more

I ordered the garlic shrimp burrito along with a small agua de mango (mango water) now I'm not super big on shrimp burrito but this was pretty darn Good ya! Super flavorful and just enough the only thing I think that could possibly make it even better is instead of using regular shrimp add pawns might coast more obviously but I'd pay for it.
