Beef taco and chicken empanadas
Frances C.

Right portion for light eater The chicken empanadas is crispy and filled with chicken rip it off with a slice of tomato and a citrus taste very complementary to the empanadas when eaten in whole. The beef taco is Delors soft shredded beef. Great breakfast and lunch place next to the Oakland farmers market

I met a friend for lunch at a food court that has several dining options. The seating is shared, and we ordered food from two different restaurants--this was one of them. The ingredients tasted very fresh and the flavors were great. I'd definitely come back next time to try other dishes.

Passion fruit
Chantilly A.

So good!! I had the passion fruit which was refreshing and the chicken tacos, which were sooo good! It came with a side of beans and it was nice and filling. I nearly devoured the entire plate before I realized I didn't snap a plate - oops! Btw, the lines are always long, but the staff work quickly, so you won't be waiting to order or waiting to receive your food long at all. So glad I was finally able to try this place! Check it out!

Veggie Mole Rojo was sooooo good. Love that they have this as a vegan plant based option.

come for the Fridays Farmers market, stay for lunch! This veggie mole rojo was tasty!

Fresh Guacamole & Chips

Service was good. Cute little place in the public market. The girl at the register was friendly and patient as we figured out what we wanted. We were there before the rush. We got chips and guacamole, coconut pescao ceviche, vegetarian mole, and beef barbacoa. The mole and barbacoa each came with a side of rice, beans, and 3 tortillas. The tortillas were nice and hot. Coconut ceviche was good but could kinda wish it had a little more seasoning. Chips and guac are standard.

Green Chicken Empanada, Fish Taco, Mango Shrimp Ceviche (oysters are from another vendor)

Came during lunch time on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. Plenty of seating in the food court but I guess each vendor has designated tables so staff will redirect you to new tables if you sit in areas that aren't "theirs". The empanada was delicious and the cocktail was too, I do forget the name of the cocktail I ordered.

We came here during a weekday for lunch and this place was packed. There was line going out the door and it's odd that this place attracts so many different folks. We came as a party of 4 and ordered plenty of food. One friend got the enchiladas verdes, which they thought was pretty good. Another got the seafood in a cup (which they said was too spicy). I got a lot of vegetarian dishes - the cheese and raja tamales, the patano con mole taco, and the veggie empanadas. I thought the empanada was a little more on the plain side. And the platano mole taco didn't have a ton of mole on it. The taco was not my favorite - also more plain. The beans were a little too grounded for my taste. The guacamole and chips were generous and tasted really fresh. I'm glad they have vegetarian offerings but thought the dishes could have been better.

Lovely restaurant inside of the Sean's Market building. I ordered the shrimp empanada special, which was a fried empanada filled with shrimp guisado. It was topped with guacamole, roasted salsa Verde, caggabe, onions, and tomato. It had a nice heat to it without being overpowering. I also ordered the pollo asado taco, which was grilled chicken topped with guacamole, pico de gallo, and a mild salsa Verde. While it looked small, there was a second tortilla underneath it so I separated the grilled chicken and toppings between the two tortillas which turned out to be the perfect amount of food. There was also a side of guacamole on the plate to enjoy. The restaurant offers both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. There is inside and outside seating. You order at the counter and they give you a pager to let you know when your order is ready. Once you're done eating, just leave your dishes on the table and they will come by and pick them up. I would definitely return because the food was very delicious. I got there a little after 1 PM and there was still a short line in front of me to order food. It seems to be a very popular place to eat.

This place is inside the Swan's market place and is 15 min from OAK so it's perfect for a preflight stop. The food is fresh and delicious!!

I came here by accident. I was stopping by another place which disappointed me once again with their lack of food and as I was turning to walk out I spotted this place. My sister saw a news article about them so I decided to go. Boy am I glad that I did. The cashier was very nice and patient as she took our order. The place was nice and clean and I got some cool pictures. I ordered two tacos - the pork with pineapple and the birria. They were both wonderful. They had two tortillas and were full of filling. If I had a fork I would have used it to reduce the amount of filling. It came with perfectly sliced radishes and a lime wedge. I ate the slices with my meal. I doused my tacos in lime juice before eating. I have been thinking about that pork taco since. It was that good. I wanted a third taco, but didn't want to pay for parking and wait. It took a while for the food to come. But when it arrived it was happy times. My husband ordered the birria taco and a chicken asado. Again, they were fantastic and he's hard to please. He had a beer with his and liked it. We had a nice seat by the window and they ask us to leave the dishes on the table so that they can bus them which is cool. I will definitely come back.

What's not to like about Las Guerrera's?! I've been here a few times for lunch and they consistently serve up some of the best Mexican food downtown. Their plates are big enough to keep you full through dinner and food is tastes homemade which means quality ingredients! The Beef Barbacoa plate is perfect, it's not too fatty and not too lean. Topped with the salsa and served with warm tortillas, the combination of flavors is perfect. The barbacoa had a slight kick but wasn't spicy at all and had the taste of fresh chiles. Make sure you get here a little bit early or after the lunch rush though because the line fills up quick.

I visited this restaurant for the first time last Thursday for a lunch and I purchased one off and one hard shell fish taco chips and salsa. Tacos are six dollars each and the chips and salsa also are six dollars. The soft taco comes with like a pico de gallo and there's some cabbage, but the hardshell come with like a aïoli spicy sauce And that was my favorite. The space that this restaurant is located is in the Swan's marketplace downtown OaklNd. The customer service was very pleasant, welcoming , and is open air and a lovely place to visit because there's lots of little restaurants and shops around. I then visited the shop again on the following day on Friday ordering two hard shell tacos because they are Amazing! I also had a shrimp empanada, which was the special that day and it was very good.

Great seating and amazing tacos! Food: each tacos was around $5.5 and we felt like they were good! Service: workers was fast and kind! Ambiance: love an indoor marketing seating!

Amazing. Purely delicious, cuuute ambiance…read more They make their own tortillas, which is always a plus. The flavors of each taco were outstanding. I ordered everything on their current menu. Tostada beans gigante, the pork shoulder, barbacoa, charred broccoli, mushroom, and chicken tinga. Just a lil lime on top, and enjoy! I didn't even need to add more salsa, which I would usually add to my tacos at other places. Tostada vegan was my fave. All the meat tacos were also fantastic, all were tender and juicy. Your taste buds bout to be blown away. They have patio style seating in the front and the back. cute for a lil date night without breaking the bank, or to go out and entertain friends outta town, or just to treat yo'self real good. so happy.

They have outdoor seating both in front and in their back patio, the front being sunnier while the back was cooler and shaded. It does seem like it can get crowded there due to the amount of customers who may choose to eat here instead of takeout, though. The food came out within 5 minutes. They also have a self-service water pitcher, and pitchers of half-and-half and oat milk next to it, which I assume is provided for those who get coffee (I didn't read through the entire drink menu). I got the vegan breakfast burrito, which has pan fried potatoes, roasted peppers and onions, mayocoba beans, chile morita mayonesa, avocado, corn, cilantro in a flour tortilla and it contains soy. It was savory, just a little bit spicy but tolerable for someone who can handle just mild level so I felt it was a good addition for providing more flavor given vegetarian burritos can otherwise often end up very plain. Quite a bit of avocado. I liked the potatoes and beans, and the insides didn't feel too mushy texture-wise. Admittedly not the hugest quantity for a burrito of this price ($15 before tax/tip) but I appreciate that they have several vegetarian and vegan options on their menu. I also ordered the strawberry agua fresca - listed as agua de fresca on the menu and this is the only flavor available, for $6. It was pretty good, fruity and sweet but not overwhelmingly so. I tried some of the chips and salsa morita that a friend shared with me, and thought it was decent - they give a massive quantity of chips (it would be good for sharing with a group) which are crispy and lightly salted, and the salsa is tasty and very mild in spice level.

I've been passing by Los Moles for years and never stopped in until we had a graduation dinner…read morethere for my niece. The main reason I never went before was the parking situation, which honestly can be a little challenging, but for this visit we found parking down the block and around the corner. The short walk after dinner ended up being nice anyway. We had reservations, although we did wait about 15 extra minutes while another party finished their meal. My family member pointed out they were enjoying drinks, so that probably added some time. The waiter was very friendly, attentive, and clearly trying to get us seated as quickly as possible. Water was brought to the table right away, and our drink order was taken promptly. I ordered the chicken salad and was pleasantly surprised to learn the mango vinaigrette dressing did not contain oils, since I personally avoid seed oils. The salad was fresh and delicious. Some of my family members ordered the buffet, which looked incredible. At first it seemed like too much food for me that day, but once I saw everything included, I started thinking maybe I should have ordered it too since it was only about seven dollars more. They brought complimentary chips, guacamole, and salsa to the table, and everything was so flavorful. The guacamole was especially delicious, and they happily refilled the chips several times. I finally understood why the restaurant is called "Los Moles" because their mole sauces are outstanding. I got to try some from my son's plate, and it definitely made me want to come back and explore more of the different mole options. They also offer vegetarian choices, which is great. Although I am very particular about cooking surfaces, my food is cooked on and in, the Mexican coffee which was heated in some type of who knows what metal, had a good flavor. It inspired me to re-create it at home. Another standout for me was the freshly made corn tortillas served with the meals. They were soft, warm, and incredibly good. I also tried the beans, which were full of flavor. Overall, this restaurant really stood out in my memory, and I definitely want to return someday to try more moles.

It was a busy night with the place packed, but we got our food super quickly despite the hustle ~ impressive service kept everything moving smoothly. The variety blew us away on our first visit: tons of different meats seasoned just right, heaps of fresh vegetables, and generous portions of everything you could imagine. You can go back for seconds (or thirds) as many times as you like, and every bite was packed with bold, flavorful goodness. The horchata was a refreshing highlight too ~ creamy and spot-on. The busy, fun atmosphere made it an ideal spot to bring kids, with non-stop energy and satisfied smiles all around. We'll definitely be back for more of this taco feast! Highly recommend.

Nothing overpowered it and the dish paired well with rice and with a fried egg. The veggie rolls were very crispy and flavorful. The fried chicken spring rolls were also good, but chicken didn't have much of the lemongrass flavor, it tasted like a regular crispy fried chicken. Comparing the duck larb with the chicken, the duck was better. It was refreshing and tender. The chicken was also good, but wasn't much of a standout. I ordered from Todos Cantina via DoorDash after reading about chef Nolberto Martinez and his…read morefamily's culinary reputation in the Bay Area. Given that background, what arrived at my door was honestly shocking. The burrito was cold, greasy, bizarrely thick and lumpy, and filled with some of the lowest-quality meat I've ever been served by a restaurant. Multiple bites literally had to be spit out. On top of that, the advertised ingredients (sour cream, pico de gallo, guacamole) were completely missing. What arrived was basically a dense tube of cheap rice and rubbery meat. At first I assumed this must have been a one-off disaster. Then I started reading the Yelp reviews. And suddenly a pattern emerged: stale chips, stale tacos, food making people sick, delivery orders arriving wrong or poorly made, hostile service interactions, customers being spoken to aggressively, and an overall sense that quality control has completely collapsed. One reviewer even described an employee asking if they "wanted to fight." Another described disputing charges over incorrect orders because the food quality was so poor. What makes this especially disappointing is that the restaurant presents itself as a serious modern Bay Area Mexican concept tied to an admired culinary name. Instead, the actual execution feels careless, inconsistent, and deeply below the standards the restaurant markets itself on. Restaurants can survive a bad night. What they cannot survive is the perception that nobody cares anymore. Right now, that is exactly the impression Todos Cantina gives off. Frankly, this is an embarrassment to the legacy and reputation associated with the Martinez name. I truly hope someone steps in and turns this place around, because based on my experience (and many others here) things have gone badly off the rails.
