The social media gods have done it again! They steered me towards The Peach and I was very pleased with their guidance! Arrived around 11am on a Saturday and was greeted by the lovely hostess. Chicken and waffles and chicken and biscuits were pretty good and their take on biscuits are flat and almost look like focaccia and come with a side of gravy. They do charge 50 cents for any sort of hot sauce (not included even if you order fried chicken) and when they mistakenly put an additional mimosa down on the table, the server mentioned he'd still charge us for it if he left it there. The sandwich was a lot bigger than I expected but that is a plus. It was all good except they put a sauce on it that I'm not really a fan of. Everything else in the sandwich was perfect though. And the potatoes were perfectly crispy. I liked the rose matcha but I feel like I always forget that rose matcha isn't my fav just because the rose kinda overpowers it and makes it very sweet. The Peach at Night knocks it out of the park. Having a secret menu item is pure marketing genius, and the fact that it was utterly exquisite makes me 100% sure I'll go back again. This was the best fried fish I've ever had. It tasted phenomenal on its own but then I started adding the sauces and the Thai basil and it just kept getting better! The braised lamb neck was unique and exciting to eat. I really enjoyed the sauce it came with. I wish the roti came on the side but that's just because I love a crunch. The wings are HUGE! Once I saw char sui toast, I knew I had to get it. And it was so good! The pork belly was meaty with the right amount of fat to keep it juicy. The caramelization of the maple char sui glaze added a smoky sweetness. The acidity from the tomatoes balanced the fattiness of the pork belly. The egg, kewpie mayo, and avocado altogether added a creamy richness that didn't overwhelm the toast. And I liked that it came with salad because the fresh greens were needed after the heftiness of this toast. I also got a matcha mojito, which was invigorating on a hot day. Plus, the grassiness of the matcha paired well with the pork. I really enjoyed the vibes here. The decor is beautiful and the staff are friendly. I totally need to come back here again. read more

My friend ordered the chicken biscuit breakfast, and it came out cold, which was disappointing. Drinks were another issue. I ordered an iced tea and it came in a small cocktail-style glass filled with ice. It couldn't have been more than 6 ounces, and for $5 I expected a normal glass. To make it worse, when I asked for a refill I was told there were no free refills. That really surprised me, especially given the tiny size of the original glass. Service wasn't great either. The restaurant wasn't busy, but it was hard to get our server's attention. She walked by our table a few times without even looking over. I just wanted hot sauce and another drink but had to flag her down eventually. The final frustration was the bill. For just two of us, an 18% tip was automatically added without a word. When they brought the payment device, it popped up asking for another tip on top, which felt pretty sneaky. Once everyone arrived, spent a considerable amount of time looking through the drink and food menu, we were ready to order. As Jackie was making her way around the table, the items that half of our group wanted weren't available. Mind you it was only noon! What wasn't available were Char Sui Toast, Lakeshore Lobster Club, Thai Iced Tea, Matcha Mojito, and a couple more alcoholic drinks that I forgot names to. It was pretty disappointing to find that out as each one of us were trying to get our order in. The food and drinks came out quick. -Chandon Brut Mimosa (4/5): Standard and delicious. -Thai Tea Cinnamon Roll (2.5/5): Thai Tea Cinnamon flavor was great, but it came with hard, almost stale-like breading. Not soft and fluffy like Cinnabon. -Housemade Buttermilk Biscuits (2/5): Nothing special that stood out. Bland, hard biscuit and plain butter over honey. A piece I was cutting flew off the plate. -Susu Steak & Eggs (1/5): Medium well flank steak and scrambled eggs were both flavorless and cold. Cholula hot sauce didn't cut it. The best part of the dish were the fingerling potatoes. -Buttermilk Fried Chicken (4/5): Moderately decent fried chicken encased with pickled papaya slaw in between soft potato roll. Shoestring fries were deep-fried and seasoned well. The owner, Kao, came up to give us a quick visit to see how things were going. He was nice. AC vent needs to be redirected to the table rather than the stairs because it was hot up there coupled with having alcoholic drinks. All in all, they need to have food and drinks in stock.
