Forni Stefano Ferrara Neopolitan Brick Oven
    Anton K.

900 Degrees Wood-Fired Pizza Eatery sells Neopolitan-ish style pizza. Having never tried their pizza, I found their product interesting. It was a bright sunny day when I came by myself. What sets 900 Degrees apart is the fact that their dough is specially fermented for 72 hours in house, as is their mozzarella. It is cooked at 900 degrees in a Forni Stefano Ferrara Neopolitan Brick Oven imported from Italy. My pie took 5 minutes to cook. This artisan pizza features some imported toppings as well. I bought the "Danny Boy" which consisted of Sopprescata, imported ham, artichoke hearts, mushrooms, mozzarella and crushed tomato sauce ($19). They have 20 pies to choose from which range from ($14-$21). All pies are 12" inch in diameter, perfect for two in my opinion. The pie was delicious and had no charring on the bottom. They have an outside deck seating area which is very welcoming as well.

Came here for a Tuesday night dinner with a close friend who lives in the area. We didn't make a reservation since it was the middle of the week. We opted to sit outside since the weather was gorgeous. It is BYOB but we decided to keep it alcohol-free for tonight anyways. For appetizers, we ordered the 900 (degree) mussels which came in a creamy spicy red sauce with pieces of sausage and sliced garlic. It was spicy but just the right amount. For pizzas, we ordered off of their specials menu (which I forgot to take a pic of!!). We got the fig, goat cheese and prosciutto white pizza and we thought we ordered the shrimp buffalo pizza but they put in wrong order so we got a spicy shrimp pizza instead. It was still delicious so we didn't let them know it was wrong. The menu options here are endless but they are a little pricey for pizza. We paid a total of $82 for the pizzas & appetizers. Quality was great though!

We come here regularly and we love the food here. Our favourite appetizers: their 900 mussel is (must try) and grilled octopus. Their salad portion is very generous. My kids loves their pasta w/meat sauce and my husband and I used to order mushroom white pizza.

I was debating between giving a 3 or 4 star because I did enjoy the Shrimp scampi that I ordered. It wasnt too sour and i liked that the garlicky flavor was just right. Although it was enough for 1 person, i expected the portions to be a bit more generous. And because it was somewhat smaller than I hoped, the joy of eating it was short-lived lol i wish i knew the recipe for their sauce though, i really did like it and wish they'd add some more to their serving size lol Anyway, I also expected to have some garlic taste to the clam pizza but i found the sauce sour. On a good note, the clams themselves were delicious! I'm hoping I can come back again and try out other things on the menu because I would like to love this place as it is so close to me and has a very nice looking venue and outdoor seating.

Ask and you shall receive. I usually don't like pizza from these type of hot oven places because i hate burnt food. We asked them not to burn it and it was a perfect pie. Great service.

Not just pizza! Excellent service, phenomenal meatballs and a great hometown feel. John is usually there making sure you feel and home and LeAnn our server is an absolute pleasure. Try the 900 degree pizza as well as the shrimp beeps. Trust me.

Size of pizza vs my hand. This is their "Large pizza" A JOKE.

I don't know how I heard about this place but somewhere on the internet. It's been going viral. As it should. This is one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while. It absolutely blew me away. We're talking flavor combinations like Saddle River Inn by Chef Jamie Knott and Bill Van Pelt's ecclectic James on Main. This is rarified air. I came on a Tuesday right when they opened for dinner at 5:30. I was the only person in the establishment for a bit, but then it filled up by the time I left. I had the privilege of being waited on by Beth, the bartender, who's been bartending in the building since 2 different establishments ago. She was fantastic and a consummate professional from my walk in to my walk out. I was frequently greeted by manager Alex. We spoke about the best restaurants in north Jersey. Agreed on gems like Prime 94 in Fairfield and River Palm Terrace in Edgewater. He's been in the business and knows what he's talking about. I got the price fixe menu for $69. It included first - some bread appetizer (not pictured) and then a shrimp and (eggplant?) or zucchini appetizer. I also got some free bread with olive oil. Next up was the egg yolk raviolo. And it's exactly how you heard. The star of the night. I love eggs so I'm a little extra biased. I asked Beth if I could also try the butternut squash agnolotti and she hooked it up complimentary. For the main course, I paid the $10 upcharge for the lobster and it came in this sweet sauce. Succulent is the word I'd use. Lots of lobster. I am happy with the choice I made. Now I only eat one meal a day so my only complaint at this point was that I was still hungry. But most people would be well and full by this point. So I asked for the menus again. I ordered scallops. Came with some fried leeks. Truly out of this world flavors in every dish. The price fixe comes with 1 dessert. I wanted to try 2 so I got 1 à la carte. A pistachio crème brûlée tart and a pistachio hazelnut dessert. I recommend the former. I also had 2 beers. I'm telling you I can eat. But the bill came out to a very pleasant surprise of $160. I had to do a double take to see if my girl Beth hooked me up anywhere on there but outside of the complimentary small portion of the agnolotti, nope, that was the price. I made sure to hook her up though! 5 words for the 5-star restaurant. Can't wait to come back.

I had my back to the bar, but from what I was able to see this is a very cozy place. Service was quick and attentive, and we did not feel rushed and were able to enjoy a pleasant time chatting. Drinks: the black walnut Manhattan, Fig jam old fashioned, wine , beer and port. Drinks were all excellent, i tasted the Manhattan and enjoyed it over the Fig Jam. For apps: Clams oreganato (the couple with us enjoyed this), flat bread (was much more like pizza than flat bread, but still tasty, per my husband), and on the special New England Clam Chowder which was very good, not too thick and decent and fresh clams in it. Entrees: Shrimp Risotto scampi, very flavorful Risotto cooked perfectly. Two of us ordered the Cajun Mahi Mahi, over spinach with mashed, and 2 shrimp. the Cajun sauce was tasty with the perfect amount of heat, shrimp and mahi-mahi fresh and cooked perfectly. Rigatoni Bolognese which my husband enjoyed and said it was almost as good as my Italian mother's (like a good son-in-law) lol Dessert: Crème Brûlée - Brûlée was perfect, the crème was a little too thick for me. I ate it and enjoyed it, but not the best I've had. My husband ordered the key Lime Pie happy that it did not include nuts in the crust as some do, he thought it was good. Overall we had an enjoyable albeit pricy meal with good service. I would come back if other's wanted to go but it would not be my go to place.

The atmosphere was cozy, and the vibe was perfect for relaxing and enjoying a great meal. The cocktails were so good that we had to order a second round! For appetizers, we ordered the arancini and the burrata. Both were delicious, but the arancini completely stole the show. They were perfectly crispy on the outside, creamy and cheesy on the inside, and every bite was absolutely incredible. For our entrées, we had the shrimp pistachio fettuccine and the steak with fried potatoes. The fettuccine was outstanding, the shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the pistachio sauce was rich, unique, and full of flavor. The steak was tender, cooked exactly as requested, and paired beautifully with the crispy, flavorful fried potatoes. The true star of the meal, however, was dessert. We ordered the ricotta cheesecake, and it was one of the best desserts I've ever had. Honestly, I could eat it for the rest of my life and be perfectly happy! It was creamy, light, and absolutely unforgettable. Yes, it's on the pricier side, but the quality of the food, the service, and the overall experience make it well worth it. I have to say, the atmosphere and the speakeasy were probably my favorite parts of the entire experience. They were unique and definitely worth seeing. Unfortunately, things started to go downhill once we were seated. We waited about 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. No one greeted us, offered water, or brought bread, so we finally had to ask another staff member ourselves. When the bread arrived, it was cold with a sprinkle of salt on top. Normally I wouldn't mind, but after waiting so long, it was disappointing. My boyfriend asked if it was supposed to be served warm, and the waiter said yes and offered to bring us fresh bread. That replacement bread didn't arrive until we had already finished our meal, packed our leftovers, and were ready to leave. They ended up putting the rolls in our to-go bag. Our waitress eventually came over and asked if we'd like drinks or appetizers. We placed our appetizer order, and only afterward did she mention the appetizer specials. We were seated near the bar and could clearly see our drinks being prepared. Our first cocktails sat at the bar for around 10 minutes before they were brought to us. Later we ordered a pitcher of sangria, and we watched it sit there for another 10-15 minutes. Throughout the meal, our waitress rarely checked on us. We had to ask bussers and even another waitress several times for water refills, and we eventually asked another server to bring us the sangria because we had already finished our cocktails. The service made us feel overlooked. For dinner, we ordered the porterhouse for two with mushrooms and a Caesar salad. The steak arrived well-cooked, but our sides didn't come out until much later, so we ended up eating about half of the steak before the mushrooms and salad arrived. The steak itself was cooked nicely, but it lacked seasoning in our opinion. We found ourselves adding salt and pepper and enjoyed it much more with the chimichurri sauce we ordered. Overall, this was my birthday dinner, and I could tell my boyfriend felt bad because he had been looking forward to bringing me here. I really wanted to love this restaurant, but the service and hospitality fell well below expectations. While the ambiance was beautiful and the speakeasy was a highlight, the inattentive service overshadowed the experience. Maybe we caught them on an off night, and I might consider giving Rails another chance someday. However, after driving nearly an hour, I left disappointed and don't feel the overall experience justified the trip.

Even though my usual dining companion and I don't enjoy pizza - due to my lactose intolerance (more on that later) - we finally stopped in for dinner on a recent Saturday night. The restaurant occupies a historic building built in the 1870s that once served as Montville town hall and later became a tavern and inn catering to travelers making their way through northern New Jersey along US Route 202 and the Morris Canal. Today, the Columbia Inn offers diners a great neighborhood pub atmosphere with a lively bar scene and an adjacent dining room that can accommodate larger parties in a casual, family-friendly dining experience. Overall, our food was terrific. My dining companion really enjoyed her St. Peter's fish ($28), a flaky white fish topped with minced garlic, diced tomato with arugula, and a light tomato sauce alongside mashed potatoes and mashed carrots. I ordered the Chicken Scarpariello ($28) -- a very robust sauté of chicken, Italian sausage, and sweet and spicy peppers in a bold, tangy white wine and vinegar sauce -- also served with the mashed potatoes and mashed carrots. Both of us thought our entreés were genuinely delicious. However, we hit a plot twist. Navigating an Italian menu with lactose intolerance is already an extreme sport, but the description of the Scarpariello in the menu looked totally safe. Enter a creative sous chef, who apparently likes to improvise a little off-script. A few bites in, I realized my chicken was secretly wearing a cozy blanket of melted cheese hidden just underneath the sauce. I strive to be the lowest-maintenance diner on the planet and will happily eat around almost anything (while deferring my criticism to a Yelp review) to avoid sending a plate back to the kitchen. I was fully prepared to operationally pick off the cheese and soldier on, but our server, Yuri, caught my look of mild betrayal and swooped in like an absolute hero. He refused to let me suffer through a cheese-scraping mission, insisted on taking my dish back to the kitchen, and had a fresh, dairy-free version out to me in record time and offered his sincere apologies for the snafu. Major credit to Yuri for handling it like a total rockstar. I'm deducting half a star for the stealth cheese surprise and rounding down to 4 stars, but thanks to Yuri's legendary service and the fantastic food, we had a great night and will definitely be back! PRO TIP: The chef seems to enjoy freelancing and dishes may be served with slight variations from the menu descriptions. This has the potential to cause problems for people with food allergies -- so be sure to make your server aware of any specific requests when ordering.

Good variety of options of appetizers, small shared plates, pizza, fresh pasta, and entrées to choose from our group decided to split the popular pizza. Then everyone offended for themselves - our table ordered the gnocchi with pesto and chicken Milanese, chicken parmigiana with penne, Arancini, and the "focaccia"/house garlic bread. The Arancini was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft and luscious on the inside. The pizza was a perfect sweet and savory combo of burrata, prosciutto, and balsamic glaze. The pesto was a bit thin and ate a little soupier than I prefer. Buyer beware with the focaccia - although it's called focaccia, it's also listed under the pizzas so it was served thin and crispy like a pizza rather than thick and fluffy like we had been expecting. I would absolutely return again to try all the other dishes, especially the shared plates, different pizzas, and other fresh pasta offerings.

I recently attended a surprise birthday party for a friend at Tuscany Villa and I can't say enough good things about our experience. PRO TIP #2: Portions are often generous; consider sharing an appetizer or entree if you're not planning on taking home leftovers.

If you know me then you know that I've always got delicious Pizza on my foodie finder radar. Being…read morequite possibly the best meal ever invented I can't help but find it captivating Lol. Recently while on the road and in search of something quick to shove-in my face I stopped by The Tuscany Villa where they just happen to be serving up some amazing hand held captivating deliciousness of their own individual style.    Having so many amazing types of toppings to choose from I initially found it hard to decide but eventually I went with their Chicken Balsamic Slice and Classic Grandma Slice. Firstly I have to say that I really can't remember ever enjoying Square Crust Pizza with this much Crispy Crunch to it. Texture was perfect in every way. Flavorful factor was on point and could be noticed in each and every tremendously tasty bite. Especially that Balsamic flavor added to Diced Chicken, and of course Grandma's San Marzano Tomato Sauce was superb !! YUMMMMMMERS !!    With such a huge menu full of delicious looking dishes my quick write up for this excellent business doesn't give it the proper attention it deserves so I'm thinking of stopping by again in the very near future for a sit down style visit when I have some more time and maybe even bring a nice bottle of wine and a few friends. So until that day. Come And Get Your Munch On!!
