Walked in the place to pick up an order we'd called in. No one looked at me or said "Hello" or gave me the finger or anything. It was strange. I stood by the counter and no one looked at me. Finally one of the kids asked me if he could help me. Picked up my meatball parm and went home. Paid two extra dollars for garlic bread, and two extra dollars for extra cheese. I do not believe there was extra cheese, and for two dollars, I should have NO doubts there was extra cheese. There wasn't really even enough cheese on it for there to have been a regular parmesan sandwich. So that 13 dollar sandwich became a 17 dollar sandwich. I do not think that was a good deal. And I do not believe that it was served on garlic bread. I've had lots of garlic bread, and I can always tell it's garlic bread, mostly because it tastes like garlic. I actually forgot we ordered it on garlic bread until my last bite, which was all bread, and I noticed the distinct lack of garlic. Also missing were some meatballs. There were perhaps four or maybe five small meatballs on this 10 inch roll. It was very sparse. The sauce was good. Overall, not very impressed with this place. It was a poor first impression. I suggest training the people who work there to greet customers as soon as they walk in. Just have someone yell "Hello, we'll be right with you!". Or give a smile and a nod toward the counter. or SOMETHING. I know margins are slim at a restaurant, but maybe put an extra meatball in the sandwich, and some extra cheese on if you're going to charge two dollars for extra cheese. Pizza test: cold slice first. Yeah, I'm that guy. If a slice tastes good cold, I already know it's gonna be fire hot. And this one passed. Solid flavor, good structure, no sad, floppy regrets. Once I try it hot, I might have to upgrade this review because I can already tell it's heading there. Service was straight to the point. Pizza guy had me in and out, no small talk, no life story, just pizza. Some people want a full Broadway performance with their slice... I'm here for the food, not the monologue. Didn't explore past the showcase, but from the front everything looked clean, organized, and no red flags flying. Simple spot, doing what it's supposed to do. Cold today. Hot next time. Got a coupon in the mail for this place and saw that it was new so figured we would try it. We were SO impressed. We got the hot honey chicken panini and the hot honey pepperoni pie. Both were excellent. We ordered for delivery and the delivery was right on time and the driver was very nice. Will definitely be ordering from here again! Went to Pizza boys for some pizza, eggplant wrap, cheesy garlic knots and a ham and cheese calzone. The plain cheese pizza was just meh. It tasted like the kind you would get from seaside. I never really liked shore pizza, but if that's your thing then this place is for you. The eggplant wrap was ok. I felt like it needed more balsamic. The garlic knots weren't that bad. Maybe the best thing I ate for this dinner. The calzone was so-so. It needed more taste (maybe more salt). The place is just ok. Not the best but not the worst. Found this place last month after nearby go to changed owners. Right off the bat was impressed w sicilian pie! Then regular pie, then ordered eggplant rollatini one week and was out of this world! Ordered w side salad. The order was 3 huge pieces. Ordered tonight and was very disappointed. This time i ordered w pasta on the SIDE. the young girls taking orders do not listen, had to repeat order and address several times and still got the order wrong! What came was very small pieces on TOP of too much pasta without any sauce to boot! I didn't know about Pizza Boys until I saw it on DoorDash. I get the idea it's fairly new. Ordered a steak and cheese pressed sandwich, calamari and eggplant parm entree with spaghetti. The calamari is one of the best in the area. Lightly breaded with flour, not over cooked and not overly salted. Could use a bigger side of sauce but was really excellent. The steak sandwich was a wrap which was filled with meat, onions, mushroom and cheese. Would order it again. Eggplant parm, which I order from every restaurant that offers it, was also one of the best in the area. The side of spaghetti was a little on the small side and it really could use more sauce, as it was pretty dry. Minor complaint. They use nice plastic containers and delivered using a bag! I love that. I am tired of dealing with these bulky boxes to recycle after getting Italian food. It's also hard to pick up a box if you have a bad back or bad knee. The bag is so much easier. Will be a regular customer and I hope they do well. read more
