    Porcini pizza

Fantastic pizza and great service. Had the margherita and porcini pizzas: so good and authentic. Seating was a little limited, or we came too late to sit in the dining room.

10000/10 on the pizza. This place looks like such a hole in the wall, and it really is when you go inside to pick up the food but boy is it good! The owner is sweet, efficient, and after ordering for pick up he had my order ready in like 15 minutes. The arugula/parmesan/red onion salad also tasted delicious and came in a huge portion. Like everybody in the reviews says, the crust is to die for! Can't wait to come back and try all the other pizzas :)

Still a 5 star experience. Wish I lived closer so I could visit all the time. Found out that it's called Double Zero because that's the flour type they use to make the amazing thin crust. Had the Pinnochi sausage pie minus the pesto this time...OMG!! So good and the chef is a sweetheart. Reminds me of what my favorite Italian uncle would be like if I had one

Not much curb appeal or interior appeal for that matter but ever since Covid, this place has primarily turned into a take-out joint and that's a damn shame. The owner is old-school friendly and takes pride in his craft. Pies are all made to order and he aims to please. The real star here is the double zero crust. Those who know, know. Carbs be damned!

Popeye Pizza! Ricotta, roasted garlic, crumbled chorizo and of course spinach!

I've been hearing about this place for a long time. A few people I trust with good food also recommended it. They were right! Thin, crispy crust, fresh tasting San Marzano tomato sauce and whole milk mozzarella. I watched the pizza maker finish it off with a sprinkle of parmesan and a drizzle of olive oil. On the small side. I could definitely eat one by myself! But no worries, I ordered three! Two pepperoni and the Popeye pizza. Ricotta, spinach, roasted garlic, crumbled chorizo and San Marzano tomatoes. Both were over the top delicious! I plan on eventually trying them all! No delivery, cash only. There are two tables for four so we sat and had ours straight out of the oven! Brought the other two home. The owner was very nice and takes pride in his pizza. I could tell he appreciated my compliments.

    New place for me!

What arrived did not appear to have burrata on it, but instead looked like a different melted cheese. I called the restaurant and asked if they could replace the pizza. I was told a replacement was only available for pickup, and that I would have to place and pay for a new order if I wanted another pizza delivered. When I asked for a refund, I was told I needed to contact the third-party delivery provider because Dough does not process refunds for online delivery orders. I then contacted Toast, the platform used for the order, and was told they could not issue the refund and that I needed to contact the restaurant. I called Dough again, explained the situation, and offered to send a photo. I made it clear that I was not trying to get free food. I simply wanted the correct order. After being placed on hold, I was told that the melted cheese on the pizza was the burrata and that this was how they prepare it. I am including a photo because I have never seen burrata served this way on a pizza. Mistakes happen, but the way this was handled was incredibly disappointing. I was passed back and forth, offered no reasonable delivery replacement or refund, and ultimately told that the pizza was correct despite what was delivered.

Don't order and then leave to wander around outside like I did because 6 minutes means 6 minutes. Good salty mozz, chewy thin crust. And he's right, you need to eat it hot. ***3 1/2 stars***…read more Maybe it lost something in transit or I didn't get the right pie, but I wasn't blown away by this place. I've had Tony D's on my list for a while, knowing it had a solid reputation amongst the North Jersey Italians (and what better demo to have it from?). Yesterday was a perfect opportunity to order/grab some pizza and bring it over to my top-tier chum in nearby Montclair for lunch. I didn't do a ton of recon so maybe there was a more obvious/modern method to ordering, but from what I could tell, this place was pretty old school and I just picked up the phone and called over - honestly can't remember the last time I did that, but it brought a nice whiff of nostalgia for me after years of ordering on apps. Didn't realize that Tony D's is literally right around the corner from my BFF Cloverleaf, so the location is pretty convenient if you're in the area. The parking in Caldwell can be pretty annoying, and even though I'm sure I could have rolled the dice I paid a little less than a dollar to park up the street further into a residential neighborhood. Given that Tony D's is exclusively delivery/pickup joint, I think they should pay for the spots right in front as a courtesy to their customers coming in and out; maybe they do and I missed it but if not... Anyway. The guy behind the counter was VERY nice/friendly, and even though I was a few minutes early based on the estimated ETA off my phone call, the pizza literally had just come out of the oven and was ready to rock. From that vantage point, top-notch service. The specific pie that seemed to be their go-to was the Drunken Grandma, which is usually one of my favorites (vodka sauce on pizza should be much more prevalent in my opinion) but I wasn't crazy about the chunks of tomato on it. In hindsight, would have been easy to pick off or even to request that they not be included to begin with, so that would be my recommendation based on this experience. I opted for a square plain pie, especially since I knew that a few young pups would likely be sampling the wares; seemed like an overall safe bet. Optics-wise, I thought it looked very good, and I don't regret going square here. The crust for me was probably the best part, and I made sure to strategically grab all of the corner pieces once we started eating. Nice crisp to it for sure. The overall taste of the pie just wasn't my thing. I wasn't crazy about the sauce (maybe another argument for the vodka sauce, right?) and the cheese was just okay. Tasted to me more like generic by the slice pizza, which isn't my preference. My top-tier chum liked it more than I did, so definitely could just be an issue with palate preference here but this might have suffered from inflated expectations. I'd give them another shot if a similar circumstance presented itself, but I'd go with the pie it's known for - there's a reason the Drunken Grandma is front and center in almost every review. Learn from me.

The bader sting is sopressata and hot honey - couldn't taste the honey and sopressata had no flavor. But the biggest let down was the prosciutto & fig - the figs were green? My first thought they were not ripe - the point of this pie is to have savory and sweet - it had no sweet.
