Always on the lookout for pizzerias, I found Baldwin Pizzeria in my bookmarked list. Today, I had the chance to stop there for lunch. I really liked this place. It reminded me of old time pizza places I grew up on in Queens. The restaurant is in a strip mall on Baldwin Rd, right off Rt 46 in Parsippany. Easy to get to, plenty of parking. Usually when I try a new place, I just go with a plain slice. Here though, the chicken rollatini slice was calling out to me. Really tasty with a nice crust. Delicious! I'm not sure if the guy behind the counter was the owner, but he was very friendly. $5.50 for a specialty slice and can of soda is very reasonable too. Stop in and give this place a shot! read more

Baldwin Pizzeria is in a perfect location right off of Rt. 46 in a shopping center with plenty of parking. They offer delicious and fairly thick (for gluten-free) crusts and of course, regular pizza. I treated my parents to lunch and they loved it, which is shocking because my mother is super picky about 'za. Good for my mental being and not for my waistline, I'll surely be ordering from them again and again. I used to come here all the time when I was in high school. The staff is super friendly and outgoing. They are very welcoming to all their customers and quick on their feet. I used to order their cheese pizza all the time because it was only $2 a slice. I came back a week ago to visit because it's been a while since I had their pizza. I decided to try out their margarita pizza and thought it was amazing. I really like how their crust is crispy and not too soft. Even though their pizza is reheated pizza, most pizza places are like that anyways. So, I don't find an issue with that. The only thing is that I wish they would label what flavor(?) pizzas are on display. I found it bit difficult to identify what pizza flavor I was looking at -- like margarita or veggie, etc. I think by labeling which pizza is on display will definitely help their customers when they are ordering instead of having to point for the one they want. My husband and I were driving back from the beach and decided to try this pizzeria out (we had been planning to do so anyways). We placed our order for the "Baldwin Chicken Cheese Steak Pizza" ($18.50 w/out tax or tip) when we were 40 minutes out. We were told that the order would be ready in 30-40 min so it worked out fine. When we got there, we walked in and told them my name. Although I didn't get an email confirmation that my order was ready, they brought it out pretty quickly. The pizza is pretty big, we were surprised! We got to tasting once we got home and let me tell you - this pizza was DELICIOUS! I wasn't sure how I'd feel about having "potatoes" as one of the toppings but it tasted good. My husband said it was unlike any pizza he has tasted before. You could tell that it was freshly made. Went here for my birthday. Sat down and no one greeted us. So I went inside and asked if there was table service. They said yes. So I sat back down. Nothing. 5 minutes later, I go in again. The staff of 3 looks at me. One person acts as though she was "just" coming out. So I go back and sit down. Nothing! The food used to be great, we got a shrimp scampi pizza a few weeks ago and it was SO fishy it was barely edible. Tonight, we tried to give them another chance since it is close to our house and convenient for us. We ordered an eggplant vodka sandwich, when I get there they ring up the eggplant parm sandwich and had a $5 "custom item" - so I said this must be incorrect, and they said "no that is to have vodka sauce instead of marinara".... I said so it's FIVE DOLLARS to have a different sauce?! they confirmed that since it isn't listed that way on the menu that they charge another $5. First of all this was NOT told to us on the phone or we would have said forget it, and honestly, part of customer service is catering to your customers, at least a little bit. I don't think requesting a different sauce is ridiculous, and I honestly refused to pay $18 for a sandwich. I would NEVER go back here, and we used to go all the time. I come here a lot for dinner to-go and no complaints so far! I feel like things are a bit on the pricey side when it all adds up but I guess it's pretty on par with surrounding pizza locations. The chicken wings deal on Wednesday is awesome though! Whenever I visit on a Wednesday, nearly every customer orders it. When I order custom pizzas or pastas (like adding chicken into baked ziti), they are quite generous with the toppings with is great since some places kind of skimp out on it. Also, the dishes that come with a side of bread - they REALLY give you bread, much more than you'd expect which is great because I love bread. Overall their dishes are pretty good but I do personally prefer the taste of Anthony Franco's pizza over theirs. But don't get me wrong, their pizza is very good too! In the numerous times I've ordered, my order has always been correct; however once they forgot the mini side salad that was supposed to come with my pasta dish. It wasn't a big deal and they were pretty busy that day but oh well I was really looking forward to getting some greens in with my high carb meal. The staff are very nice and friendly as htey greet you as soon as you walk in. They also bring the food out to your table when you plan to dine in which is a plus. The wait time is also pretty standard and I do plan ahead and call in for a pick-up order ahead of time and they've been pretty good ad giving estimates and having everything ready upon my arrival. read more

It's been years since I ordered a pie from Baldwin Pizza-not because there was anything wrong with Baldwin, we moved across town and found another 'go-to' pizza place. I happened to be out with the kids and we decided to give it a shot. We ordered a half sausage pie and garlic knots and hoped for the best. I was very surprised-I thought the pizza was even better than I remembered. The sausage on the pizza was phenomenal. The crust was a little crispier than I usually like and the sauce was good, but a little sweet. I loved that they didnt cheap out on the amount of cheese they used. My kids loved the pie and the knots-even asking if we could go there again...while that's great, it's pizza, my kids love pizza no matter where we get it (well almost, they would eat anything from Pizza Hut if it were free). I'd give Baldwin 3.5 stars, but I need to give them another shot before they get a fourth star. Maybe next time we'll eat in. read more

I absolutely love this place! The staff is always super friendly and welcoming, and the food is amazing. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are great. The pizza is delicious, but my favorite dish is the Baldwin Platter. The platter is rice, sautéed broccoli, and grilled chicken that is topped with avocado, diced tomatoes, and carrot shreds. It also comes with a side of homemade chipotle sauce... which is so good they should probably sell it by the bottle! They alhave a bunch of other unique menu items that you can't get at a typical pizzeria. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area! read more

So cheap and disgusting the dessert pizza also was chewy and just not enjoyable looks like a toddler had to go potty on it. Decent pizza for the area. I went out last night and got two slices, an order of garlic knots and two empanadas. The garlic knots were awesome and definitely helped my decision on bumping up the star rating for this review. If anything I recommend you trying an order! However I'd avoid the empanadas, which I should have known considering it's a pizza shop. The empanadas were chicken, the inside was dry and after my first bite I couldn't finish it, it tasted old, most likely because it sat in the case too long. The pizza was ok, but definitely not the best, I personally wasn't a fan of their sauce. Needs more flavor, maybe garlic, a little salt.. idk maybe an entire new formula. We frequently order pizza from here, always very good. Today we ordered something different and were very displeased. We ordered lasagna, which was basically a cheese platter. There was barely any meat and had the consistency of mush. We also ordered a meat lovers calzone and that too had more ricotta than meat. Not tasty at all. Lastly, we ordered butter pasta for our daughter. Upon picking up the order the butter had spilled inside of the package bags. The counter girl was kind enough to re bag the order but once we got home the butter pasta was dry, no butter in the container and our daughter did not like it at all because of this.
