RAW Chicken Cuttlets
Jim M.

We called in an order for 2 sandwiches and an order of mozzarella carrozza... Sandwitch 1 eggplant parm no prob delish... Sandwitch 2 PLAIN chicken cutlet Sandwitch... a few chicken pieces were raw.... Carrozza was supposed to have sauce on the side... called them back to complain about the disgusting food we received... they were very accommodating and said they would replace the food in question in 30 minutes... 1.5 hours later still no food... called then back again and was told the driver left 10 minutes ago... never again will we order from them and I will spread the word about the treatment we received from Hoboken Pizza on 23 south in Pompton Planes...

Bland seasoned fries

Not the same food.. huge disappointment tonight. Seasoned fries just had salt & pepper and the to go container was super small for $9. The chicken cutlet sandwich was terrible and used to be my favorite. Pickled onions were hardly pickled, there was no pepper, they melted cheese on lettuce (gross!) and the garlic aioli apparently means chunks of garlic, it was terrible. The cheesesteak had NO taste at all, so so bland. Also found an herb stick in the chicken cutlet sandwich.. I will not be a returning customer.

Spinach Artichoke Rectangle Pie. It was amazing!

My family has tried several pies from Hoboken's Pizzeria. Our favorite is still the Spinach Artichoke Rectangle Pie and we now prefer it cooked light so the crust is soft vs crispy. I got some friends into this pizzeria and this pie, it's become their favorite too. After 1 pie was too crispy, almost burnt, the owner remembered us and gave a discount the next time I went in. Really nice people. We drive from several towns over because their pizza tastes great.

Very solid place for a slice. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by their plain pie and their calamari. Great local spot!

Pizza taste was fine. Ordering system is horrible. No one answers the phone. The pizza is never done on time. Food takes forever!

Ordered a plain cheese pie for pick up. It was ready promptly for pick. Mediocre taste and was a little chintzy on the cheese.

However, the meat, veggies and sauces that have been included on any sandwich ive gotten there have been high quality. They offer special empanadas depending on the day as well which were delicious. Not the best deli in the world but a solid local spot that can give you a good lunch. They offer a chicken disco fries sandwich which was very unique and delicious.

I then specified "bacon lettuce and tomato with chicken cutlet", lest the "B" in BLT get missed. Lo and behold , there was no bacon on my sandwich. The chicken cutlet was also cold. I didn't realize chicken cutlet is a cold sandwich so maybe that's my fault for not specifying again, but then why did it take 20 minutes if you weren't heating chicken and clearly not cooking bacon? The bread also tasted like week old plastic. The price of a sandwich chips and drink was so astronomical, over $20? I could go to a restaurant and get real, hot, decent food for that price. Next time just go to jersey mikes. I gave two stars because one seems mean but we will never be going here again.

Doughy. Soft. Reliable. These little guys get absolutely demolished by my coworkers every single time, which tells you everything you need to know. No leftovers = success. This place is aggressively basic and I mean that as a compliment. No wild cream cheese flavors, no bagel flavors you need explained to you, no coffee that requires a TED Talk. They've got hot coffee, iced coffee, and both do exactly what they're supposed to do: keep you functioning. If I'm craving crispy bagels? I know where to go. If I want 47 flavors of cream cheese including birthday cake and Buffalo chicken? I know where to go. But if I want a good, doughy bagel that does its job and doesn't overcomplicate my morning, this is it. The two employees I see every Tuesday are amazing. Friendly, fast, and way too pleasant for the hour and the amount of bagels I order. Never an attitude, never rushing me, just good old-fashioned customer service like it's 1998. Speaking of 1998... the inside hasn't changed since then. It's frozen in time. But weirdly, that's comforting. Clean place. Renovate it and suddenly the bagels might start acting different. Don't touch it. Bottom line: K C's isn't trying to be trendy. It's just trying to feed you and it succeeds.

Bagels had very salty taste to them. Service was also not very friendly to my husband. Not sure we…read morewill be back again

Every person who works here is so kind, accommodating and sweet. I wanted almost everything on the menu (especially the smoothies they looked delicious) but decided on the chicken blt wrap without the mayonnaise. Delicious and a solid portion. Price point for delicious homemade healthy food is spot on. I'm excited to return! I also will note a trip to the restroom (adorable decor) gave me a sneak peek at an immaculate clean kitchen too, which is always a win.

Do you ever have an experience at a place so bad that it ruins the trajectory of your whole day?…read moreThat was my morning at Jackie Smalls. I don't give out one-stars on principle unless the food is inedible or something egregious happens but I feel in this case it is warranted. This is my third time at Jackie Smalls. My first, I thought the avo toast was great. Second time I got a very bland breakfast burrito. My third, today, I brought my infant son and decided to dine in. I asked for a high chair and once seated was told by my "waiter" that he could not take my order but I had to order at the front. First issue was this high chair. Nobody knew how to adjust the straps including me, and it was some minimal little aesthetic thing that looked like he could easily topple out of. This is important later. Anyways no big deal with the ordering, front guy was accommodating and let me order from my seat. I ordered the Smalls Scramble for me and French toast for my son with the syrup and raspberries on the side, no pistachios or whip. Food takes a good bit to come out, which is no biggie either. When it arrives, they set down the French toast plate with a knife (a knife knife not a butter knife) on it in front of my son. Ok not great but I hand them the knife back. Then I try the food. Honestly, I'm not sure what to say about the food but...yikes. The eggs were certainly not soft scrambled, and the toast did not look buttered, and the weak potatoes were somewhat like a thick flaccid potato chip drenched in truffle oil and, by the way, not more than a speck of salt on anything. It looked pretty but that was about it. The French toast was deep fried or air fried and it was just not good. Sorry, no other way to say it. So I go to ask for two things: salt, and to inquire as to whether the multi-grain toast has nuts since I have an allergy and it looked concerning. I keep having to go up to these counters and leave my baby unattended in his unstable high chair because nobody will come to me and keep making me get up. I had to ask like five people about the bread until someone pulled out a binder and started looking for allergens. Everyone was just pointing me to the next person and many seemed to simply not understand my question due to a language barrier. I get my salt, and this is some COARSE salt. So I couldn't even fix the seasoning. Not flaky, but like coarse and pebbly for pickling or seasoning steaks, not for food. While I'm up and bouncing from person to person I keep gesturing at my son and nobody will come to my table. In the meantime, he smushed the raspberries and spilled the syrup and I'm back and forth between my conversation and keeping my son in his chair. At the end, I just didn't trust these people's knowledge of anything and could not eat any of my food but brought it home for my husband. It's one thing to serve food that needs a bit of work, but you need to at least offer normal table salt for folks to fix it. It's another thing to have the majority of your staff not know about allergens or how to navigate your high chairs. Also that food needed more than a little bit of work. I will say though those pancakes did look good. I will not be posting pictures for this review because I don't want to mislead with the pretty plating.
