    Chicken Caprese Panini
    Taylor F.

I have visited Panini Bistro a few times now and it is never nothing short of amazing. They craft the BEST paninis in the area - hands down. I ordered a Chicken Caprese Panini - chicken cutlet, tomato, fresh mozz, EVOO, balsamic glaze, and pesto - and it was absolutely to die for. The service is always so great. They are always so friendly and helpful. The only thing that I wish they had is a sit down area to eat inside, but it is so worth it for take-out only. If you love paninis (who doesn't) this place is a must-visit! They have dozens of options to choose from as well as a huge variety menu.

Amazing and delicious! I must try if you're in the area. They also have a selection of gourmet cookies, croissants muffins. Staff is very friendly.

Wow is all I could say after my first bite. These paninis are delicious and freshly made. We ordered delivery and were quickly brought my food which was still surprisingly warm! Our delivery person was super friendly and even met us inside the station to bring us food. While I haven't had the opportunity to go in person to gauge the atmosphere, I can only imagine that it's an even greater experience. Definitely cannot wait to go back again.

I hit a Homer today at this place. I live just a couple of miles away, and I never knew of this place. Today I decided to go and have a sub sandwich. I have personal favorites, and I believe this spot rivals or beats the places I've gone too. I ordered the Classic Italian sub. I substituted the bread for baguette. What a great call. This is a must and this place has a great sub sandwich. The lines should be out the door. Go!

Few years later, and they still achieve 5 stars in my book. Ordered a few items today and 2 issues, but were resolved instantly with a phone call. It's places like this that give me hope - quality food and great service..

Overall pretty decent Panini Shop. The sandwich combinations are pretty expansive and the overall portion is pretty good for the cost. I want to reserve judgement of overall quality due to Only being able to do delivery or takeout, but I will definitely be back once COVID is over to try everything fresh. I just wish their online ordering platform had a few more customization options or room for comments on the items. Will probably try this place again once I can eat everything in person

The food and service is excellent in both spotswood and Matawan locations. The bread is always fresh and sandwiches are delicious.

Delicious panini and fries! Employees are friendly. Tiny side lot for parking but plenty of additional parking across the street.

Is it a false advertisement or an "one man band"? Very disappointed to say the least since we went there so we could dance to a full live band. Having one person playing in the bar area just adds more noise. A full live band is loud and energetic which drowns the noise and gets people on the dance floor and sit there tapping and/or nodding their head. Before 2026, MJ's in Spotswood had full bands playing almost every weekend. Now it is just the other way around with one or two musicians. You really need a drummer to get people on the dance floor. The Cabin restaurant in Freehold on the other hand always has full bands playing every weekend and the dance floor is always packed as well as the rest of the restaurant. We like MJ's in Spotswood since it is close by us and our friends. We hope it will bring back full bands on the weekends regularly. Also, We went to MJ's in Spotswood last Tuesday night (5/26) for their prime rib dinner special. It didn't come with a salad. Asked for an end cut but they said they don't serve them. The prime rib on both plates had globs of un-rendered fat and gristle but no crust. We spent half of our time trimming the fat and gristle away. The cheese on the baked potato was not even melt. The bacon bits on the baked potato were so dry and hard. No butter or sour cream. The only thing good on the plate was the green beans. So not sure their prime rib dinner is worth the price.

My friend had a Sicilian slice, grandma slice, and root beer, all of which he enjoyed. We also grabbed 3 plain slices to go and the total was a little over $40, which was a little higher than expected. They have a large variety of slices which is enough to draw me in for another try. The restaurant is not lacking for seating either. They have a big bar, a spacious outdoor patio, and plenty of seating in the dining room. I went with a group of 5 guys to watch the UFC PPV and we were easily accommodated. As for the food, it was a mixed bag. We ordered 20 wings, which were quite good. The chicken was tender and fresh, with plenty of sauce. The buffalo chicken dip had a custom flare that made for a tasty scoop with each chip. The nashville chicken sandwich, however, was underwhelming. The sauce was too heavily seasoned with chili powder and that's about all you could taste. Also, my sweet potatoes fries were soggy (to be fair, they're harder to get right than a classic fry). I think next time I'll stick to apps and drinks, but that works for a spots bar like Aroogas.

I can see this place being packed on game days as there are TV's everywhere even in the bathrooms which I thought was funny haha. Unfortunately, we couldn't sit on the patio since it was rainy when we came here. I got the chicken fajitas and them came out on a sizzling plate which was a nice touch. The chicken wasn't anything to write home about. It had a nice grill flavor but other than that not much depth. The cheese was just shredded cheese from a bag and it seemed like the salsa was from a jar. My husband got old bay wings which he loves. He said they had the perfect amount of old bay on them as many places usually skimp on the seasoning. I would come back again if we were meeting up with friends to watch a game but probably not just for dinner.
