Finally stopped in here after passing it so many times. I've been trying to find a solid cheesesteak spot, so my partner and I ordered the El Niño and the Fat Jay and split both. El Niño was easily my favorite. There is a spice to it (as it described), good portion, and the bread held up really well. Everything just worked together. Fat Jay was completely different. Stuffed with tenders, mozz sticks, cheesesteak, a lot going on but still really good. Definitely heavier type sandwich. Had me stuffed. Overall both were solid. Came here today for the $3 8-inch sub deal from 11 am-2 pm and I definitely found my new go-to! The service was so fast, I was home before my work meeting, and the sandwich was fresh and so delicious! I ordered the honey turkey, "our way", with honey mustard and pickles and it was perfect! I just wasted 30 bucks bc I ordered a chicken cutlet(chicken fingers) sub and order of chicken fingers and to my surprise the cutlet sandwhich is the garbage fake ass chicken fingers that establishments pawn off bc they want to charge us more but sell us cheaper stuff so I didn't mind ur cheesesteaks and cold cuts but now I'm done with you. It was so refreshing to go into a shop that's clean and the staff is friendly and you know they appreciate your business. I have found in other sub shores that you need microscope to see the meat including the famous shop in Edison. Mr. sub is the exception! I could see and taste the meat Instead of lettuce and vinegar. Pricing is comparable to other sub shops. I'm so glad I can go to East Brunswick to get a good sub just like the ones I used to drive to Mr. Sub in Union for. You won't be disappointed! read more

Not really any better or different from any chain sandwich spot (which I normally stay away from), but it's close by and I figured I'd give it a shot...I got a "Super Sub" w the works, added hot relish and extra meat/cheese (additional charge of course), pretty good sandwich, bread is nothing special at all, the hot relish is outta this world and you really don't get much extra meat or cheese for the additional charge. My wife got an Italian sub wo extra meat/chs and there were maybe 2 slices of meat and 1 slice of cheese more on mine. That being said, it's still not a bad spot at all, VERY clean/organized inside and the guys who work there are nice. All the subs were fresh and sliced on the spot. A staff was freshly chopping onions when we walked in, so nothing was stale or sitting out too long. I loved the thinly sliced meats and the soft breads. I got the oven gold turkey and Italian and they were both awesome. The fries were better than boardwalk fries. It was perfectly fried and perfectly seasoned. The wings reminded me of my favorite childhood pizza joint wings, so of course I liked them. However I tasted the Buffalo sauce on its own - OMG! I could of drank it in a cup. So good. Service was amazing, everyone was friendly and helpful. The place is clean and organized. It's easy to miss when your driving by, hopefully they put up a more eye catching sign. Looking forward to going back to try out other items. Had to take the time to rate this place since they took the time to do right by the customer!! I'm a repeat customer, and had a rather large sub order ($75/4 whole subs) this time. When I called the order in, I started it by stating that all 4 were to be on whole wheat, and scooped out (my usual rqst, which is not an issue). I pick up the subs and just figured I'd ask/confirm they were scooped out, and was told they weren't. Needless to say I was angry!! But still took my order home, as everyone was waiting and I didn't have time for them to remake it. Fast forward to today, the day after I was there......they actually called me, and offered to make right by comping my next visit!!! The reason for this post is simple.....everyone is quick to bash a small business for doing the wrong thing, so I had to take the time and highlight a small business for going above and beyond in customer service!! Just happened to drive by and spotted this new opening. Decided to give it a try. It was clean and fresh look inside, not like a deli sandwich shop. Although the staff was still new, they were friendly and answer the best they could. I ordered the Italian and wifey had the Oven Turkey. We also ordered fries and had comp. wings. The sandwichs are on point, bread is like Tastee's and old school Blimpie, which I like more than other breads. The meats are sliced thin, probably their style. Probably would have liked more meat to get the taste more or maybe a little lesss veggies but overall, good sandwich, def better than "JM" a few minutes aways. The fries are banging!!!, maybe cuz I love salt but it was nicely salted broadwalk fries. The wings reminded us of Crown Fried Chicken wings, which is a good thing. We love our neighborhood wings.
