Great salads, delicious wraps! Food feels fresh and tastes pretty good. I even had some fries which were tasty too. Highly recommend this!

Lunch panic averted -- and what a find!…read more I didn't bring lunch to work and was deep in the "what am I going to eat?" struggle when The Great Wazu popped up in my search. I'll admit, seeing that it was primarily a sandwich shop made me hesitate since I need gluten-free options. But I was thrilled to see they offer gluten-free bread -- and even more relieved when I spoke to the incredibly kind server who walked me through their celiac protocol. As someone who worries about cross-contamination, that conversation alone put me at ease. I originally planned to grab something quick and rush back to work, but I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious the place is. For a strip mall location in Parsippany, there's actually plenty of seating, and the atmosphere feels welcoming and comfortable. Bonus: tons of parking, which is always appreciated. The menu has so many tempting options -- sandwiches, wraps, salads, chips, sweet treats, and beverages. Once I saw they had gluten-free bread, I may have gotten a little carried away and ordered two sandwiches: the Walnut Cranberry Chicken Salad and the Italiano. No regrets! Both were generously portioned and packed with flavor. I was especially impressed that they use four slices of gluten-free bread per sandwich -- which is thoughtful since GF slices tend to be smaller. For the price, that extra effort really stood out. I also grabbed a side of coleslaw and their homemade potato salad -- both fresh, flavorful, and the perfect complement to the sandwiches. Friendly service, great gluten-free awareness, generous portions, and lots of variety -- I'm so glad I found this spot. I'll absolutely be back to work my way through more of the menu.

Sandwich was under $15 and was fairly substantial. Easily enough for me. Several tables inside. Its located in a place with ample parking.

Yelp usually doesn't steer me wrong and didn't this time either. The restaurant is located in a…read morevery unprepossessing strip mall in Parsippany, but inside it is nicely decorated and clearly is very popular. We were greeted ebulliently by the very nice server, and the service was great throughout the meal, with two servers and the chef or manager (both?) checking on us. There is an extensive menu, from which I chose the Jersey Carbonara and my dining partner had the Shrimp and Pancetta Risotto. Both entrees were delicious and filling, The restaurant bakes delicious bread, which is light and fluffy and somehow tastes vaguely cheesy also. We rounded off our meal with what I hope was a decaf capuccino--one of the smoothest coffee drinks I've had the pleasure to sample--and a truffle with two kinds of ice cream and a little jujube inside. 10/10 would eat there again.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a cozy date night. It's also BYOB, which is a great bonus and makes the experience even better. I ordered the lobster ravioli, which was very tasty and full of flavor. That said, the portion was on the smaller side for the price. What really elevated the night, though, was the dessert menu everything we tried was delicious and ended the meal on a high note. Overall, it's a charming spot with great service, solid food, and a lovely atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a relaxed Italian dinner with a date-night vibe.

I rarely write reviews. This area of NJ has middle eastern cuisine scattered every few blocks and…read moreit's all pretty solid and some great. Alhara Schawarma was fantastic as soon as I walked in. Told the owner I'd never been before but had walked by numerous times, and he said let's change that. Had a beef/lamb schawarma sandwich with crispy Saj bread - thinner than a tortilla - fries and then drizzled with pomegranate sauce that breaks the savory and salty flavors in the sandwich. Delicious. Served with plastic gloves as the "pomegranate can make it messy", but probably wasn't needed but a nice touch nevertheless. Also had cup of lentil soup served with lemon, was very nice. The owner wanted me to try the chicken schawarma, so gave me a small cup. Delicious. My new favorite find in the Parsippany area.

What a delightful discovery!…read more I was on a road trip from Vermont to West Virginia, and searched Yelp for a gyro/shawarma joint near my hotel. I found Alhara Shawarma and decided to try it. I'm so glad I did! The pomegranate sauce on the lamb/beef shawarma was amazing! The shawarma was wrapped in some sort of flatbread that was closer to a tortilla than a pita. I'm assuming it's a traditional Syrian bread, and it was delicious! I saw the meat rotating on a vertical spit in the kitchen, and I immediately knew that it was going to be far better than any grill-fried processed meat product. While I prefer an all-lamb shawarma, the lamb and beef was fantastic. The pomegranate sauce was an extra surprise. I love pomegranates! The tartness and mild sweetness of the sauce complimented the earthy taste of the meat. I tried the pomegranate ginger ale, which I think was imported, since it had Arabic writing on it. I loved it. Whenever I'm eating somewhere new, I will usually order something that I don't know. I'm usually pleasantly surprised, and that was true this time, too. I can't get to the menu while I'm writing this review, but I ended up getting something that turned out to be pita bread with a yogurt-based sauce that reminded me of tzatziki. It was perfect for dipping my fries into. The staff was super friendly. I placed an order to go, then went out to the sidewalk to wait for my order with my dog. Even though I told the guy who took my order that I would come in and pick it up, he brought it out to me. I didn't stay long inside, but the dining area was clean, and the kitchen looked clean, too. I'm so happy I skipped the rest area restaurants and got something unique for dinner. I will definitely be returning!

We were discussing burgers yesterday and Habit came up. I'd never eaten at one. He wanted one. Perfect. Pulls in at 8:45, takes a few minutes to figure out the ordering kiosk. I will therefore note this is an issue to anticipate. The order itself didn't seem to take too long. As for what came home with my friend: * Intrigued by the dragonfruit limeade. Would be something to keep in mind if I find myself at Habit again. * I enjoyed my burger. The patty was the weakest part, very plain and underwhelming. But the portabello mushroom and associated toppings? Mwah. That all made the sandwich. But the best burger places know how to make the meat score points. * My friend got the tempura green beans. Apparently those were just OK, maybe not tempuraed enough. I noticed when looking at the sides, every dipping sauce costs money besides ketchup packets (m'eh) and none of them really looked that interesting to me. So the upsides? Good value, tasty mushrooms. The downsides? Limited selections, uninspiring burger meat. I'll call it a strong 3 stars and if I do end up here (or another Habit) I will reconsider.
