    Meatball Parmesan with pasta salad
    Kathleen M.

It only took 11 years but we finally made it back! It's still incredible... This time, I went with the meatball parm and my husband had the chicken parm. The bread is toasted perfectly with a great crunch on the outside and soft and doughy inside. The sauce is wonderful and the meatballs were obviously homemade, probably using an old family recipe. The chicken parm was equally perfect... Lots of locals in the restaurant and one commented that they were hit hard by the pandemic. Please take a minute to support a local business that puts their heart and soul into their food!!

We shared this huge 10" sandwich!

Thought we'd try Vitale's again... still the best roast beef sandwich around! And the price is amazing!!! It's a 10" sandwich! Meat piled high! Definitely shareable!

The dinner's on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night are amazing!! And the antipasto and dessert are to die for!!

Very Solid choice for lunch or dinner here at Vitale's Delicatessen where You'll find some seriously delicious food at really reasonable prices. HUGE sub sandwiches, wraps, salads, homemade square pizza pies and outstanding Italian Inspired comfort dishes are just a few things that They specialize in here and I like the fact that I can get in and out with My order in a flash.   They also offer delivery service too only I've never had the need to use it but hey nowadays it's a good thing to know. Dine in or take out, call ahead or walk in I've never had any issues at all here.   Just a heads-up: the location is easy to pass by in a small strip mall off of Route 46 east but once You stop in You'll definitely remember where this place is. Come And Get Your Munch On!!

Vitale's is no doubt a great spot when looking for a great lunch or dinner in the Parsipany area. Vitale's is located in the Parsipany Hills Shopping Plaza on Route 46 between Vail and Baldwin Road and parking is never an issue. My favorites are the chicken cutlet sandwiches which are always fresh and tasty. While chicken cutlets are my gonto, they have a great menu variety and you really can't go wrong no matter what you pick. A few of my favorite lunches include: Chicken cutlet with Prosciutto, Fresh Mozzarella and Sun Dried Tomatoes Chicken cutlet with Prosciutto, Roasted Peppers and Fresh Mozzarella Roast Beef, Turkey, and Swiss Sloppy Joes Triple Decker with Russian and Slaw Panini Sandwhich on Focachia bread withQ. Turkey Breast, Swiss Cheese, Cole Slaw, Russian Dressing. Roast beef and Swiss sub with lettuce, tomato and onion. And will wrap it up with Cheesesteak! Aside from a great lunch menu, they also serve great dinner meals and have a dinning area to enjoy your meal with your favorite bottle of wine to pair with your meal. B.Y.O.B. IS always a bonus when dinning out.

My salad was massive and delicious. I love homemade dressing and they had it. The employees were courteous and on top of it.

A little bit of an odd choice for an Italian Deli, but I went with a Philly Cheesesteak for lunch today. Added a small bag of chips and a Snapple and just enjoyed my day off lunch. After ordering I realized I had been here once a really, really long time ago and I remember having a great sub. My cheesesteak with onions and mushrooms was very good...I mean, I'd still rather go to Philly for the ambiance and authentic feel/flavor, but this was a good sammich...as good a cheesesteak as I've had up in this area. The pasta salad was pretty good with the cucumber pieces, but I added a little salt. Portion size was more than enough...didn't need the chips. I have no idea why this isn't a regular place for Wifey and I, but it's going on the 'must return' list.

How much meat we actually got.
    Clinton H.

Very disappointed. my coworker and I got two whole sandwiches from here based on the yelp reviews and pics of other peoples sandwiches. they all showed a lot of meat on them. but when we received ours, it almost looked like they forgot to put the meat on at all. there's more mozarelly cheese than there is meat, they looked nothing like other reviewers. I know proscu is more expensive than Turkey, but when you pay over $45 for two sandwiches, you expect much more meat than what we got. You can see below the screenshot of what we thought we would get, followed by what we actually got. Definitely will not be back for that price.

My coworkers always rave about this deli and today was the day I finally got a chance to see what it was about. I walk in during lunch time to see a good amount of tables occupied. What else I saw was the huge plates of food the customers were eating out of. Without even trying it for myself, I knew it was going to be good. My coworker wanted to get the Italian sub and mentioned that she wanted to share it. Share??? I didnt want to share a sub.. I wanted one of my own for crying out loud. I was going to see why once it was ready. We ordered a small and really, it was enough for both of us. The amount of meat that was in the sub was ridiculous (in a completely generous way). The deli meats were tasty and fresh. I was utterly satisfied. I noticed they have new specials here daily! You can sign up on an emailing list to have the specials sent directly to you. Tips: - There is a minimum credit card charge of $10 - Our Italian sub was just $8.40

Half eaten hoagie (yes - what you see pictured is the other half of my wife's hoagie)
    Dan S.

Heading to a wedding in jersey and was looking for a place to grab lunch on the way, so gave this spot a try based on Yelp reviews. -- We were not disappointed. Located in the corner of a strip mall - ambiance is not its strong suit, but if you want a hearty deli sandwich- this IS your spot. Portions are huge! The Quality of their ingredients was great. Homemade bread and countless cold cut options. My wife had a boiled ham, salami, and provolone hoagie while I had a mozzarella, prosciutto and roasted red pepper panini on focaccia bread(with balsamic drizzle)....each sandwich came with a side of pasta salad. Both were tasty and HUGE. It seams like the chicken cutlet sandwich was their specialty, but we did not try it....anyway, if you are hungry and in the mood for a good hoagie, this is the spot for you!

Lunch panic averted -- and what a find!…read more I didn't bring lunch to work and was deep in the "what am I going to eat?" struggle when The Great Wazu popped up in my search. I'll admit, seeing that it was primarily a sandwich shop made me hesitate since I need gluten-free options. But I was thrilled to see they offer gluten-free bread -- and even more relieved when I spoke to the incredibly kind server who walked me through their celiac protocol. As someone who worries about cross-contamination, that conversation alone put me at ease. I originally planned to grab something quick and rush back to work, but I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious the place is. For a strip mall location in Parsippany, there's actually plenty of seating, and the atmosphere feels welcoming and comfortable. Bonus: tons of parking, which is always appreciated. The menu has so many tempting options -- sandwiches, wraps, salads, chips, sweet treats, and beverages. Once I saw they had gluten-free bread, I may have gotten a little carried away and ordered two sandwiches: the Walnut Cranberry Chicken Salad and the Italiano. No regrets! Both were generously portioned and packed with flavor. I was especially impressed that they use four slices of gluten-free bread per sandwich -- which is thoughtful since GF slices tend to be smaller. For the price, that extra effort really stood out. I also grabbed a side of coleslaw and their homemade potato salad -- both fresh, flavorful, and the perfect complement to the sandwiches. Friendly service, great gluten-free awareness, generous portions, and lots of variety -- I'm so glad I found this spot. I'll absolutely be back to work my way through more of the menu.
