    TBLT Sandwich
    Steph S.

If you're in the mood to visit an old school, charming deli that's run by some of the most friendly people who will make you feel like you've been friends forever, look no further than The Great Wazu!! The Great Wazu makes you remember why the classics will always be classics. With a large menu there's so many delicious options- if you're stuck the workers are happy to help you decide! Today we went with the TBLT, the chicken salad, and a classic Italian. Our sandwiches came with some yummy pickles on the side, and we washed everything down with a refreshing homemade peach iced tea! For dessert we had melt-in-your mouth chocolate chip cookies that reminded me of those unforgettable cookies from my childhood at school. If you're in Parsippany- come say hi to my friends Spencer, Joey, and Agnes! They'll make you feel right at home and whip up a sandwich so good- you'll be dying to come back!

It's been a while since I've had The Great Wazu and I'm happy to report that it's still epic. This is definitely one of the best places around for a deli sandwich. They can literally make everything and anything. Wraps, hoagies, salads, hot paninis, sides and on and on. The menu is overwhelming but sometimes you cannot go wrong with a deli turkey sandwich. Bread is soft and fluffy and sandwiches come with a super generous portion of meat. Prices are fair and service is speedy. Most of their business is takeout, but they do have a sizeable dine-in area too. I'll definitely be back soon.

I love this family run sandwich shop. Everything is super freshly even make all of their mayo's homemade. I love their homemade tea as well. The sandwiches are huge. The prices are super fair. Plenty of parking and I love the spot.

First time visiting. Got the roast beef insanity for myself & the TBLT for the Wifey. Was the roast beef truly insane? Nope. I was expecting insanity due to not only the name but also the pictures on the website - which look pretty insane. I think I got about half of the protein that I was hoping for to be in the sandwich. Salt & Vinegar Chips were spot on though. People were friendly and vibe was just fine - what exactly you'd expect at a sandwich joint in a strip mall. Although, I do like whatever sauce they put on the sandwich. That was good and not too overpowering. I would have definitely loved a more insane protein packed sandwich that was bursting at its seams with roast beef so when you open it up, your first reaction is holy shit....this is insane!! ...definitely didn't have that reaction. Oh well. Could have been a lot better but could have been worse too. Nothing to write home about though.

All-time favorite sandwich spot which always has to be hit up when in the area. Plenty of room to sit if you aren't planning on take out and always super friendly staff. And I should also mention very patient. They have quite an elaborate menu with many fun and unique sandwiches but of course you can just pick your standard ham and cheese. A few favorites include their tuna, roast beef insanity, and Joe's dream. The aïoli on the Joe's dream is ridiculously good. Highly recommend if in the area. You will not be disappointed.

Years ago, I ate at The Great Wazu in East Hanover. Not sure if they moved to this location in Parsippany or if this was a 2nd location, but today I stopped by to pick up lunch. The sandwich menu is huge here. I decided to go with one of the "Chef's Choices", the "Roast Beef Insanity". It was certainly insanely huge and pretty delicious! It's made of roast beef, cheese, pickles, peppers, onions, and this chipotle aioli sauce which gave it a nice kick. One of the keys is that the sandwich is made on this rosemary Parmesan bread which was excellent! There's a large selection of chips and drinks. There's a large seating area if you're dining in. This store is located in a large strip mall so there's plenty of parking. If you're in Parsippany looking for a great sandwich, check out the Great Wazu!

Whoever named this place "The Great Wazu" definitely knew what they were talking about because this place makes some seriously "Great" Sandwiches. I don't know what took me so long to stop by this shop but now that I finally did I'm hooked. First time in here I grabbed their signature "Roast Beef Insanity" Sandwich which consists of thin sliced lean Roast Beef, American Cheese, Onions, Peppers, Pickles, Lettuce, and Chipotle Mayo all on Rosemary Parmesan Bread. To call this a "Great" Sandwich would most definitely be an insane understatement because the amount of flavors throughout every tasty bite dancing across my taste buds were nothing short of complete YUMMMMMERS!!    Gotta also point out that they have a "Great" selection of Chips here too because as every "Great" Sandwich Eater knows you gotta have "Great" Chips with your "Great" Sandwich. Come And Get Your Munch On!!

The menu has enough specialties and standards to make you really think.

It isn't merely a deli; it's a delicious sandwich specialty shop with a fast line and an efficient staff with a mutual rapport. I am mad I didn't know about it sooner. The panini menu offers original ingredient and flavor combinations that beg to be devoured. Calling Little Joe's Tangy Thing just "tasty" would be selling it short. Offering a crunchy hoagie with professional grill marks, a flavorful roasted pepper mayo, and thinly sliced grilled chicken with pepperoni and olives, it had brine, rich texture, and a full flavor that was over all too soon. On my most recent visit I grabbed the Joe's Dream panini, which was slathered with basil mayo, carried by tender roast beef, and decked with grilled onions for added crunch and flavor. The wait is hardly any time at all. When I walked in at 12:20 for lunch on Tuesday, I was through the line of ~15 with my ready-to-walk panini by 12:30.

Turkey works with a lil extra. Try the basil Mayo ‍

Eh. Two thin slices of cheese on my 1/2 sub. I literally had to add more cheese. I also thought the bread wasn't that good. Very eh.

I have not been there in a while, but stopped in for my favorite roast beef sandwich.I was disappointed with the bread. Like I said I have not been there in a while, but it appears they may have a different vendor or recipe for the bread?

We were greeted ebulliently by the very nice server, and the service was great throughout the meal, with two servers and the chef or manager (both?) checking on us. There is an extensive menu, from which I chose the Jersey Carbonara and my dining partner had the Shrimp and Pancetta Risotto. Both entrees were delicious and filling, The restaurant bakes delicious bread, which is light and fluffy and somehow tastes vaguely cheesy also. We rounded off our meal with what I hope was a decaf capuccino--one of the smoothest coffee drinks I've had the pleasure to sample--and a truffle with two kinds of ice cream and a little jujube inside. 10/10 would eat there again.

We were discussing burgers yesterday and Habit came up. I'd never eaten at one. He wanted one. Perfect. Pulls in at 8:45, takes a few minutes to figure out the ordering kiosk. I will therefore note this is an issue to anticipate. The order itself didn't seem to take too long. As for what came home with my friend: * Intrigued by the dragonfruit limeade. Would be something to keep in mind if I find myself at Habit again. * I enjoyed my burger. The patty was the weakest part, very plain and underwhelming. But the portabello mushroom and associated toppings? Mwah. That all made the sandwich. But the best burger places know how to make the meat score points. * My friend got the tempura green beans. Apparently those were just OK, maybe not tempuraed enough. I noticed when looking at the sides, every dipping sauce costs money besides ketchup packets (m'eh) and none of them really looked that interesting to me. So the upsides? Good value, tasty mushrooms. The downsides? Limited selections, uninspiring burger meat. I'll call it a strong 3 stars and if I do end up here (or another Habit) I will reconsider.
