Not from around here, needed something in a hurry and I've never had a bad experience at a Jersey Mike's. I was looking for a vegan option. They have a vegetable sandwich that I got without cheese. Second time in a row ordering from this location where they screwed up the order and the store does nothing about it. DoorDash refuses to help either. I complained in a review Google Maps and they asked for a second chance but they aren't any better. Two sandwiches ordered and they put the wrong toppings on the sandwiches. Mayo was all over the sandwich that was ordered for the person that has an egg sensitivity so they went hungry, again. Jersey Mike's should revoke this franchise's license. read more

Jersey Mike's is a great alternative to the limited number of fast food options in the Boonton/Montville area that I'm in and much better than the other quick serve sandwich shops. Their cold subs are fresh sliced with loads of available free toppings. My family usually goes for the hot subs though (big kahuna cheese steak and the chicken cheese steak). Ordering with modifications through the app is possible but you have to type in your changes. I prefer ordering in the store so that I can make sure the modifications are done correctly. Staff has been very friendly and don't seem to mind customizations unlike a lot of other places. read more

Easily a new favorite of mine, which is hilarious considering I didn't even want to go here in the first place. Don't let the fact that is a chain prevent you from stopping in. The sandwiches are not only delicious, but the amount of food is impressive and more than I was expecting. I have even downloaded the app so we can place orders on the go and just walk in to pick them up. That's a win in my book! read more

I ordered a hot sandwich today using the website to pre-order and pre-pay for the meal. I really like this feature cause it's great to be able to walk into Jersey Mike's and just pick up my bag and go. The website gives you the option to add or delete certain things from your sandwich. I chose to delete the grilled onions that come standard with a number 65 Portabella chicken cheesesteak. I also opted to have no green peppers on the red peppers. When I got back to my office to eat the sandwich there were indeed grilled onions on it. Very disappointing as they make me sick. I think from now on I'll stick to ordering my meal in person when I go into the Jersey Mike's. Yes, it's the first time they got an order wrong and it's the first time I ordered online. But I would hope the system work better than this. Otherwise their food is great, and I recommend them highly. read more

I stop here occasionally. Always consistent. Today I was surprised to learn that any sub can be ordered as a "a sub in a tub", which comes with all ingredients over a bed of lettuce in a bowl (Take out container). This is a huge plus. I follow a diabetic diet and pass on the bread. But my choices have melted cheeses that stick to the bread. Jersey Mike's took up the spot that had been vacated by a Subway a few months prior, and as their marketing mentioned fresh cold cuts sliced to order, and their menu sounded pretty decent, I figured I'd give it a try. I generally favor local independent shops mostly as they tend to have to fight for customers using quality as opposed to the brand image and advertising that franchised chains can rely on, so my expectations were pretty low, but I'd have to say the "Classic Italian" sub that I had on rosemary parmesan was quite decent (although they were skimpy on the provolone - only a single thin slice? C'mon...). Clearly far and away better than any chain sandwich shop, and I'd even say it was better then some local pizza places that don't try hard enough. Considering they have over 1500 locations that alone is an amazing feat haha. It's not gonna beat out a traditional Italian deli, but it's certainly an improvement over what was there. I'll have to try the cheesesteaks the next time around. read more

I used to eat steak, onions and cheese on a bun. Unfortunately, I have been advised to no longer eat beef or eat it maybe every two months.Ive stopped my beef consumption and that way I don't miss it. I returned from a Drs. Office next to Jersey Mikes and decided to try a sub with chicken instead of beef. You know, chicken, grilled onions and cheese. Was I shocked! Terrible taste, wet bun and not enticing at all! If I look back at my experience, I keep wondering how is it possible to mess up a sub with those ingredients. I gave my son a taste and he agreed it did indeed have a very strange taste. I used to own a restaurant and even I couldn't ascertain what the taste was. Needless to say I will no longer be a customer and advise my many on-line viewers not to frequent this place! read more

This place is a joke that hires violent employees that will follow you to you're car to threaten you for calling them out on their horrid service. After placing a pre order 30 min ahead of time with a scheduled pick up time I arrived to find my food was not made. After a more then 15 minute wait with multiple other pick up customers standing around as the employees just made the walk I'm orders and not the scheduled orders I finally received my food. When I informed the employees of there horrid service one of them followed me to my car and forcibly opened my door to threaten me. Obviously I will never return to this place and neither should anyone else who doesn't like to be followed by violent employees. read more

This JM location is great! Fresh, fast and friendly. A cold sub is the way to go if it's a busy time. They get in the weeds on the flat top during peek hours. Understandable, for sure! I love the #2 and the tuna sub. The beef big kahuna is super yum. But get a giant big kahuna for the best experience. The regular seems sparse to me sometimes. I am here pretty much every week, and always have a good experience. read more

Please end the pain of this place's existence. First downfall was the omission of a tuna sub ordered New Year's Eve. Several subs were ordered but one was definitely missing for a special guest. When I called about it, I was promised a credit. Not too long after, I ordered again and asked that the credit be applied and was told a credit never existed. Just tonight, I ordered a veggie sub. OmG, I came home with a sub with nothing other than a few slices of cheese and a few green pepper slices. These workers are imbeciles. Fool my once, foolish you, fool me twice, foolish me. The food is great, however I've been in the restaurant industry my entire life and the staff in that place are amazing! You always get a hello, they are super polite and friendly! An yo be honest for me that's the most important thing! The food is great and the service is awesome it's nice to go to a store that is friendly. I also do DoorDash an when I go pick up food from them they are super nice and treat you with respect. I've been going to Jersey mikes since I was young kid and I only have great reviews for other branches. However for this store I only have be comments. I gone in the other day and order a chicken cheese steak and received it under cooked. Got it replaced and and again it was under cooked. Asked for a refund for the sandwiches I didn't eat and I was denied by the manager Brandon. Reading previous reviews make me better understand why I was denied. HE WAS MOST DEFINITELY HIGH AND COULDNT TELL IT WAS UNDER COOKED. This Jersey Mike must be avoided at all cost. read more

We've ordered three times from Jersey Mike's. It's obviously a new place and staff is still in training. The main problem with that is that the staff dealing with customers are young, very cheerful, but not particularly oriented toward quality control. The big problem we consistently experience is that we prefer dressings on the sides of the sandwiches don't get soggy and the roast beef is not cooked consistently so it's a tossup whether it is rare (as we prefer it) or very well done which is akin to tasting like cardboard. Nevertheless, the subs are generally tasty and the portions good-sized if a bit on the expensive side. As a comparator, our experiences with more established Jersey Mike's have been a notch better so there is hope for the future. Our absolute fave sub shop is still Longfellows in Morristown. A consistent five star sub. read more

I am a fan of Jersey Mikes, but at this particular store my order has been messed up twice, only to find out when I get home. The store has been great at offering a refund, but I don't have time to go back and get a replacement so I'm only giving 3 stars. Boy has this place fallen off a cliff. Super friendly, clean and generous portions the first month, today marks my 3rd consecutive trip that has been a costly failure. We recently got two "party platters", 1 Italian and one Turkey/Swiss. However both were Turkey, no Italian. All the condiments we asked for on the side were missing. Bread was stale, we threw out 75% of the sandwiches. Gross. Subsequently I ordered two "Big Kahuna" cheesesteaks with NO mushroom, my daughter had an allergy so I don't get mushroom on mine to prevent any confusion. Both had mushrooms, both went in the garbage. Most recently I walked in, ordered 3 sandwiches, and the condiment area was so gross and unkempt that the bread for my kids sandwiches were sitting in a pool of oil and vinegar on the counter, they don't like O&V, I asked them to replace the bread and they acted like I was demanding free sandwiches. There are so many great places within a few blocks; Don's, Roadhouse, Old Town, and J&M for amazing cheesesteaks, I guess I have nobody to blame but myself for going to a chain. Regardless I will not return, and I've heard similar feedback from other local friends. Too bad, but if you charge premium prices ($40 for 3 undersized sandwiches, 3 fountain drinks and gratuity that no other local place asks for when they run your CC), you need to put out a decent product.
