The bagel was fluffier than I expected, and I liked that. Sometimes bagels can get too chewy and tough. It was toasted to perfection. I didn't ask, but I think it might have been chicken sausage, not pork. There was a spice to the sausage that I couldn't identify, but really enjoyed. After passing this bagel shop literally 100's of times, I finally stopped in today. If you're traveling on the eastbound side of Rt 10, it's easy to get to, not so much westbound. This is a large place with plenty of seating. There's a large selection of bagels and muffins. I ordered an everything bagel with vegetable cream cheese to go. The sandwich was very good. My only issue here was that the price was higher than average (almost $6). If you're in Morris Plains craving a bagel, give it a shot. read more

The only thing better than the Taylor ham, egg, and cheese are the bagels. The only thing better than the bagels is the staff. To a person, they're always kind, friendly, helpful, efficient, and make folks glad they walked through the door. There are a zillion decent bagel places in New Jersey but we make a point to come here whenever we're in town. This place is far more than decent. It's the best! Adam, one of their younger/ youngest employees, is exceptionally spectacular. We came in less than a half an hour before closing and not only did he welcome us, cooked our TH,E,C sandwiches, too. In this case I ordered take out here, specifically a Taylor Ham, Egg, & Cheese on an Everything Bagel. I also grabbed a large cup of coffee and I found them both to be Very Good. Rona notes; as far as virus protection goes, I noticed that the Cook/Server did wear a mask and a container of hard surface disinfectant wipes were visible on the counter. Driving by and saw a big sign stating Gyro and can of soda. Stopped in with my son around 1:30pm on a Monday. We were the only customers, there was a table with around 20 stuffed animals sitting around it which was a little odd. I asked the guy at the counter about the gyros and he said it was a number 7 on the menu board. I asked him for two orders and he asked me if I wanted chicken,beef or lamb. We asked for the lamb. We waited for about 10 minutes and I asked the guy if we get the cans of soda ourselves being that the Gyros sign can of soda, he told me that the soda is not included, I said that your sign outside says can of soda of which he said it is an old sign and was there for commercial reasons to get people to come in to the store. I said it is misleading and maybe they should remove it if they were not honoring what it said , he said he will let the owner know. My food was ready and I saw he overcharged me for our sandwiches , he said that because we ordered the lamb that was more money. I told him when I ordered the # 7 Gyro on the menu he was the one to ask me which one I wanted or at the least tell me it was more money. The total bill was almost $30.00 which is absurd. I told him that I will never come back there again and his response was "Why not". I told him that he mislead us about the soda and overcharging for the sandwiches. He said he will let the owner know. At least on the positive note never needing to ever go back there again my decision easier as the sandwiches were by far the worst Gyros I have ever had. Not sure what meat they put in it but it was dry and rubbery and didn't taste like lamb. Too bad I have to give them 1 star. Stay away and save your money. Place is clearly not worth it. read more

My bf got steak, egg and cheese with salt pepper ketchup on a jalapeño cheddar bagel. The bagels were good but the sandwiches were disappointing. Horrible Customer Service!!!! The man that answered the phone was so rude. He told me he didn't have more than one everything bagel and then hung up when I was trying to add a different bagel to my order. I called back and asked if he hung up on me and he said with a chuckle, no we got cut off. I gave him the rest of my order three bagels and home fries and he gave me a price and said in 15 minutes I'm gone 2:30p. I told him I will be there I'm right around the corner. Got there and he walked out to take out the trash and had me waiting inside with the short little woman in the kitchen. She stayed in the kitchen and watched me and wouldn't come out. Another man came in right after me and stood there wondering what's going on, are they closed? I told him they are closing, he said yeah their closed and walked out. Brought it to the counter while the guys that took out the garbage came back in and started ringing up the order. He said Not One Word to me...just took my card, rang up the order gave it back and crumbled up the receipts and throw it away. He watched me as the woman handed me the bag and said nothing. I watched him back and told her thank you & left. The WORST experience for such a simple and small order. It is now 2:45p and I am writing this review in the parking lot and they still have on the open sign and haven't left yet. And instead of bacon they gave Taylor ham and the wrapper in marked bacon. Any bagel spot I stumbled across the owners and servers were always pleasant. However, at this location I felt an extra sense of warmth. From the moment I walked in to the time I walked out I was greeted with smiles. I can tell this is a family owned business, not only by the crowd and seats taken up in the bagel shop, but by the young boy who placed my order. An elderly man watching over him, making sure he correctly filled my order. It's nice too see family sticks together. I enjoyed my "everything" bagel with scallion with cream cheese even more now that it came from a loving environment. Thank you for making my morning. Place looked very clean and spacious. The toppings looked freshly made and my bagel was perfect. Location is a bit of a pain, may be hard to get in or you might just miss it. Convenient place to pick up a bagel sandwich to go. Was visiting my uncle for the weekend who lives up the road. On the way out to I-80, stopped by for a quick bite for the road. A lot of different options for the bagels, and there were other hummus and gyro options as well. I ordered the Taylor ham, egg, and cheese on a everything bagel. It was huge and very tasty. Jersey boy is an awesome bagel shop with some amazing choices. There spreeds are always out for sampling and you should try them. The last time i was here i ended up getting a sundried tomato spread on a bagel and it was delicious. They also have an abundance off drinks in there coolers and a fair amount of coffee to start your morning. The only problem is they tend to be on the pricer side. I randomly stopped in at 3:00, after a busy day with no lunch and immediately could tell they were closing. I've worked in the restaurant industry and NOTHING is worse than the last minute customer who waltzes in at closing. I was instantly greeted and encouraged to go to the counter, where it was insisted that I was no inconvenience. Everyone was so nice I actually felt guilty not placing an order! They said that if I was okay with cold sandwiches they were happy to make me what I wanted (despite them being closed). Seriously everyone was so freaking nice and genuinely smiling and pleasant!
