While running errands my husband and I were pleasantly surprised with this hidden gem of a bagel/sandwich shop. I got a hazelnut iced coffee, while hubby went for traditional hot coffee. They have many flavors and options for all. Their bagels looked so good and I opted for bacon, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel. My hubby was in the mood for Taylor ham grilled cheese and they were so accommodating. You can take it to go if you are in a hurry, but there are plenty of places to sit, relax and enjoy time w/ friends or loved ones. I loved that they served the food on real plates too! read more

Had to stop in this morning to get a few bagels for the weekend. Must have just missed the rush. Lots sold out, but who can blame them. Everybody wants a mount olive bagel. Just love the bagels here, soft fluffy inside, with a crispy outside. Cream cheese is awesome, veggies is our family favorite along with the plain. Got strawberry to try and it was really good so much flavor. If you're nearby I suggest stopping in for a bagel or two or more for later. I've always picked up extra. If you're able not to eat all of them right away they hold up well for a few days. So more joy at a later date. read more

Worst $13 bagel I've ever eaten. The Lox were frozen, so she used microwave to heat it up. Horrible. The capers stale, and the cream cheese watery. Skip this place. read more

$18 for 6 bagels with nothing on them!!! Warning! Make sure you don't get over charged! I was charged $18 for 6 bagels ! When i questioned the cashier... she said they were "specialty" bagels... Something didn't sit right with me ... So...I just checked their menu.. and i should have been charged $12:74... shame on me for trusting the cashier..(enjoy your nice tip!) I got a blueberry and an egg Bagel which ..according to their menu on line ..were $1.79 each. 4 "special " bagels which were $2.29 each. No cream cheese or butter either. This is the first bagel place I've been to where a french toast bagel and a bagel with some cheese baked on it...is considered a "specialty " bagel!! Never again! read more

Unfortunately with the change of ownership, the quality has really gone downhill. It must've happened about a year ago. We noticed the staff shift and the learning curve so we gave it a couple more tries after that and the service was slow and bagels were sad. We haven't been back since. It's too bad since the location is so convenient. We now actually go out of our way to the other bagel spots in the area. read more

Best bagels and breakfast sandwiches in Northern NJ. Plenty of parking, friendly staff, fast service and great prices. Coffee hot and fresh. Can't go wrong here. read more

My go-to morning stop when in the area. Great bagels and fast service always! The asiago bagel is particularly a favorite.

Terrible customer service. They do not answer the phone, forcing you to place an order through their website. If you place an online order through their website, there is nothing ready when you arrive. They then write your order on a scrap of paper. Their response to you is to call DoorDash. Called the number they provided, and it wasn't even DoorDash support. Multiple customers with the same issue. Did not hear the phone ringing while in the store. Sounds like they could be scamming customers for the extra money for the online order. Online order was almost $20 more than in store. The service I received when I eventually had to wait for my order was very disappointing. The attitude I got really set me off. Lost my business. read more

Ordered the TEC with xtra Taylor.. first .50cent surcharge for eggs is added to your order, as if we don't spend enough on eggs let's add a surcharge. No pull when you pull sandwich apart.. honestly for the price, not sure this is worth it.. over all tastes ok, just not the best around.. I'll give it a 5 out of 10. The store itself is clean, busy and friendly.. read more

Fabulous bagels - big, dense and soft. Yummy cream cheese options. We enjoyed pumpernickel and marble rye bagels with olive cream cheese. Got some cinnamon raisin bagels to take home. Still moist and tasty three days later. Great staff too - friendly and helpful, even at 6:30 am! read more

I've eaten bagels from NYC to LA to Florida ... Mount Olive's French Toast and cranberry are without a doubt, the best I've ever had. I dream of them in my sleep and whenever I go to another bagelry. But go early ... by 8 AM they're nearly sold out. I'm eating one now. Thanks Mount Olive Bagels. Best staff ... delicious, satisfying breakfast. read more

I have been to many bagel stores in the area and shockingly I never made it to this one. Shame on me! This place is amazing! The French Toast Bagel was sweet, chewy and maple-ly! I had it with Walnut- Raison Cream Cheese and it was the best bagel I have ever eaten and that is saying a lot. The Everything Bagel with scallion cream cheese was also outrageously good. My son and I spilt them. We will be back again. It was very clean and organized too! A+ read more

Ordered through UberEats initially and our order mysteriously was cancelled even though when we called the restaurant they said it had been picked up. Ordered again through DD, food took forever to be prepared. When it arrived, French toast was burnt, no syrup provided and was just bland. Side order of sausage also burnt. From First walking into the establishment, it was very organized and clean. The service was prompt. However, the young lady working the register, had a hard time understanding us to place our order, the owner did come over to assist her with the order which came out a short time later. I ordered a cheesesteak with fries and sautéed onions and also a western omelette, which came with some good home fried potatoes, white and toast. The only thing that could've been added that wasn't was the cheese one miss not so bad !! overall, I would rate as a good find .. the food had very ample portions. Overall 4 stars .... read more

Fast and friendly service. I called ahead and ordered breakfast sandwiches and bagels for my family. The bagels are crispy with a warm soft middle. Ordered a double egg white and cheese on a sesame dry. My wife said it was good and perfectly cooked. I enjoyed my bacon and cheese on a everything with SPK. It was just what I needed to get me into the morning. I arrived at the business and was greeted with a warm smile. My order was ready lightning fast and I was on my way back home. If you are in a rush and just want a quick sandwich then this is not the place to stop at. They have more workers working then any place I have ever been too and nothing getting done. They prefer to take care of online orders before the people in the business probably because more people can leave a negative mark online then those that walk in. So even after they make you wait a really long time for your food, they still somehow make it wrong. When you tell them this, they make your sandwich the way you ask but make it un edible. Example, burn the bread and put so much butter on it that it is so soggy and you can't eat it. I have been here more than a few times and this experience will make me never return. Absolutely horrible read more

While in the area we took a chance and tried this place - we will definitely be coming back! We are already trying to figure out a way to incorporate this place into our February '21 wedding morning schedule. We stopped in at 10am on a Saturday and the phone was ringing off the hook but that did not slow down their efficiency taking in-person orders. Even without the dine-in option they appeared to be fully staffed and were not missing a single beat, or bagel :) We had to wait close to 10 minutes for our order but it really was not a problem at all. It was comfortable to stand in the air conditioning and there was enough space for us to keep our distance from other customers - THANK YOU. We ordered two sandwiches, a sausage, egg and cheese and one with just scallion cream cheese. The bagels were SO fresh and good. You know that you've found a quality bagel place when the bagel comes out hot, right from the oven. If you're in the area make sure you grab a few bagels from Mt Olive Bagel, you'll be thinking about it until you go back for the next one. read more

Food was terrible. I ordered a triple decker and a focaccia sandwich. They both come with pickles and coleslaw. Lmao I get my order let me tell you it was a sad sandwich. It was t a triple decker it was just a sandwich reg with and extra piece of toast thrown in for laughs and the pickle LMAO it was the skin I didn't even get a pickle literally it was the skin . Don't recommend this place at all especially for the price these were. I'd go to Hackettstown bagels or even take a trip to Parsippany to get a real sandwich at Ferrraros Italian Specialties read more

Sub with very little meat on stale bread. The macaroni salad was good but I won't be running back.

I'm rating as a 3, because I'm splitting the difference between my 2 star review, and my husband's 4 star review. We aren't usually so far apart on how we feel about a place, but I think it came down to what we ordered. Me (2 star): I ordered an Italiano panini. Chicken, mozzarella, roasted red peppers, pesto mayo. It's a sandwich I order often from many different places and I have to say it's usually fairly consistent. But not here. The chicken was tough and cold. The mozzarella was too thick and not heated enough so it didn't melt at all. The "pesto mayo" wasn't green, it was pure white, so I'm not sure what it really was. The roll was super soggy which I'm not sure how that even happened if it was made to order. The presence of peppers was sparse, so that's not even what caused the widespread sogginess. The bread was not right for a panini, but even if they wanted to use that weird soft roll, they needed to keep it in the panini press a lot longer to crisp it up and heat up the contents. It was a 0-1 star sandwich. I only ate half of it and only because I was starving and we had just driven 2.5 hours from CT for an appointment, and I didn't have time to go anywhere else. I threw the second half in the back seat but then desperation ate it on the drive home. Husband (4 star): he loved his egg sandwich on everything bagel. I personally found the bagel to be too close to the consistency of a hard roll, and less like a traditional bagel, but he disagreed with me. He thought it was a great compliment for his sandwich. I did agree it was well seasoned and flavorful, just didn't like the texture. He liked the amount of bacon on the sandwich (even though I wished for it to be crispier) and loved the orange processed cheese. I was glad I didn't order a toasted bagel with cream cheese and lox because this bagel was not the right texture if you're expecting that famous NY treat! We both agreed that service was great, the staff were all nice, the wait time was appropriate and the prices were fair. But for me it all came down to the authenticity of the food, it was just lacking for me. We'll most likely never be in that area again, but if we were, I'd probably try a different spot. read more

Never again - this place lacks communication & professionalism. Ordered 2 bagels to enjoy inside. We waited & waited & waited. After 15 minutes we were pretty pissed & asked about our order. Always a varied selection of consistently large, flavorful bagels served quickly and fresh with great coffee, spreads and breakfast options.

Went on lunch break today and was craving a sandwich. I looked up some nearby places and found this one, so I decided to give it a try before reading any reviews. I'm not sure who the other reviewers spoke to when ordering but my service was fantastic. She was really nice and I actually had a full on conversation with her and someone else while I was waiting for my food which only took about 5 minutes at most. I went in around 1 oclock so it wasn't busy. Maybe other people went in at a busier time, I don't know. The sandwich wasn't too bad. Not my favorite but it was probably just my selection. I'l be sure to try something else next time. It came with a choice of sides, a pickle and some lettuce on the side which I wasn't really expecting so that was nice. I got the potato salad but it wasn't really for me. Price was pretty reasonable as well. Overall, really no complaints about the place. I'll be coming back for lunch more often. read more

Think there are new owners and they have changed what was great about the bagels. First you will notice the bagels are about half the size of the prior owners. Prices for one bagel with CC are up to $4 and they don't even use as much CC. I hope the taste and recipes stay the same but it's clearly very different from prior owner. Will give it a few more visits to see how this change develops read more
