Just love the bagels here, soft fluffy inside, with a crispy outside. Cream cheese is awesome, veggies is our family favorite along with the plain. Got strawberry to try and it was really good so much flavor. If you're nearby I suggest stopping in for a bagel or two or more for later. I've always picked up extra. If you're able not to eat all of them right away they hold up well for a few days. So more joy at a later date.

The young woman that took our order could have been 14 years old. They're fairly efficient here. Our local friends informed us after that Budd Lake are not the best bagels. I'm not sure where the closest recommendation would be, but I know that the Chester's Bagels in Long Valley were fantastic.

She refused to give me my order until I returned with the ticket, which I did. Next, my wife asked her for a refill of coffee. The woman refused. Chester Bagel has a self-serve coffee dispenser so customers can get free refills. Marilyn's Cafe and Chester Diner servers come to our table and refill our coffee. I think it is totally inappropriate and rude to treat customers in the manner which we were treated. We will gladly take our business elsewhere. We deserved better after spending high prices but get low service.

When I was told I could not purchase a speedway gift card with a shoprite gift card. So I went back to purchase two items and decided I did not want the items anymore. So I went to customer service to return them. Dana who had been giving me dirty looks when she I walked over to customer service. I asked to make a return on two items I just purchased and I wanted cash and not back on another gift card. Thats when Dana said she wasn't doing that and she would be putting it on another shoprite card. I asked to speak to the store manager. When the assistant store manager Kurt started walking over I tried to talk to him. While he ignored me and took a phone call. Apparently he was on the phone with Dana. And Dana was informing him that I wanted cash back for my purchases. Without even addressing me in a respectful manner. He went ahead and said yeah your'e getting it on a gift card. That's when I said I don't want it on a gift card they insisted I said fine. He said why did you even get the items and I said this conversation is over. He had never really addressed me he'd spoken to Dana on the phone walked over and dismissed me like one would a child. Thats when he shoved the two items towards me and said now you aren't getting your money back, leave or I am calling the police. At that point I said I would be calling the police instead. Thats when he changed up said Dana give her the money back on a gift card and get her information off of her receipt. Dana then walked off with my receipt to the back of the store. making impossible for Judy who was still there to give me a refund. All the while Kurt is whispering to the guy in flannel. And they are stating at me as Kurt talks to me like I am his child and yells at me in a store full of customers. I asked why are you making a bug deal of this. That's when Dana reappears and still does not reproduce my receipt until I ask. All the while they are all speaking to me in the most disrespectful condescending manner. After I received my refund on a gift card Kurt says you are banned from the store. So does the random stranger dressed in flannel who turns out to work there. The flannel guy proceeds to walk after me and watch me as I get into vehicle making snide remarks. I was treated like a criminal by these people after making purchases with. Talked to like a dog and ushered out like some kind of problem. I contacted shoprite about this. I grew up going to shoprite stores and I don't know who is hiring these people but I have never felt so disrespected. I would love to hear a response about this From the higher ups. This is a pretty solid supermarket with a good layout to it as are most of the Weis Markets. Long story short, they did have a decent amount of meat, iced teas, cookies, and produce but as you would expect, toilet paper and bottled water were long gone. Note; I will in-no-way be holding any of this against the store and I still feel that this is a very good place to get your grocery shopping done.
