Great service and I had an awesome breakfast sandwich, which was sausage, egg, cheese, onions, and hot sauce on a toast, toasted everything bagel. The sandwich was huge and it was excellent.!!! This is the second time I've gotten this sandwich and both times it was awesome. read more

I used to come to this deli all the time, but I hadn't been back in years since I've found an another deli in the area and it had a more desire to my liking. I stopped in today and was amazed at how much it has changed. The new layout looks great, and the updated lighting makes the place feel bright and welcoming. It feels completely different in the best way. The food was even better than I could have ever remembered. Everything tasted fresh and high quality and I will be coming here a lot more often now. (Best bagel I have ever had) read more

Not a terrible spot but terrible location when you are looking for it with your mobile GPS (e.g. Waze, Google Maps) because it brings you to the small plaza where it's at but on the front side where you will not see this place. I was about to drive off until my curiosity got the best of me and I decided to venture to the back of the small shopping plaza and finally found this small hole in the wall. I got some hiking fuel in the form of bacon, egg and cheese on a yummy bagel in the early hours so it was great that this place was open at 8am. Wait wasn't too terrible but I also only had one other person in front of me and as more patrons arrived they were waiting way longer than I was so I could see someone getting frustrated waiting for service. There were a max of maybe 5-6 customers during my visit and some waited well beyond reason just to place an order. But if this is the only shop in town open so early then they get away with this type of slow service. No seating inside so this is a grab your crap and get the freak out kind of place! read more

Last 3 times we've picked up breakfast sandwiches it's been a shit show. Sandwiches were missing bacon one time and the last two times, it took 30 minutes to get our sandwiches even though we called it in & was told 15. There is a bottleneck in making egg sandwiches - I don't know what it is but we are not going back here. read more

From breakfast sandwiches, bagels, Italian subs, turkey, subs, their macaroni and potato salads. Everything is always a slam dunk! They are quick, efficient, and friendly. Not to mention a hop, skip and a jump away! Love that we have Valley Bagel right "up front!" Breakfast Sandwiches read more

This is probably the weakest and worst bacon egg and cheese I've ever had. I asked for the big one done, and it was quite the opposite and they are extremely skimpy with the sandwich not worth the money at all. read more

Good bagels and good sandwiches. I like the fact that they have Joe Tea there which is my favorite iced tea that I can't find literally anywhere else near me. Since it's right outside panther valley they tend to get busy and I recommend calling in your order ahead. read more

Valley Bagel is my favorite place to get a bagel, deli sandwich, chili or cheeseburger and fries. I'm so thankful to have a really good bagel and sandwich place so close to home. The flavored coffees are really good too. This place is popular and during your typical high volume times, you might have to wait a little bit since everything is made to order and this isn't McDonalds. If you are in a rush, you can plan ahead and call in your order prior. They are a fantastic local business and deserve support and patience like all businesses navigating the challenges around COVID. I've been coming here for years and will continue to do so. read more

Nothing special overall attitude not good and acting like they are doing you a favor and you are just in there way.

I go here because is the most convenient place to grab bagels in the morning. Service is slow and staff can be very moody. Bagels are OK. read more

This deli is beyond anything in the area ~ And for anyone who worries about delivery their packaging is the best!! Bags are stapled with receipt ~ ‼ just love this place! read more

This morning I called Valley Bagel @ 7:07 am to place an order they took the order and told me 15 - 20 minutes , I was in the car already on another errand so I headed over. I arrived at 7:17 I fully expected to wait. What didn't expect is the counter person to be nasty and totally annoyed blurting out it will be another 20 minutes as if she was giving me a penalty for coming early. I was at this establishment the day before and waited 25 minutes because the women there was overwhelmed but as busy as she was never once did she "Bark" at anyone completely professional. I will never return and the owner was present today, if he feels this is exceptable Beware!!!!!!! read more

Their bagels are very good and their taylor ham, egg, and cheese sandwiches are great! I go here often and they are always consistently good. read more

Just wanted to say thanks to the crew at Valley Bagel!!! Got a sandwich thosorning and it was great. Food is always great and we have never had an issue with service; and we have been coming hear for years. Can things get a little busy on the weekends yes, but not unrealistic. I think we people need to take a step back and think about what it must be like to run a business during COVID. read more

Great breakfast sandwiches and lunch ... the staff is always nice to me. I'm glad we have a good deli around here

Awesome sandwiches with equally awesome owners. If you like quality products made by a quality Mom and Pop business, this is the place. Always stop there on my way to the city and I have never had a bad experience. read more

Thank Jesus this place is under new management and has been turned around. You'd think the coffee/bagel options around Flanders would be infinite but they're a bit limited....not anymore as the new owners of this place are awesome, the place has been completely cleaned and scrubbed from head to toe, and the bagels, breakfast sandwiches, and coffee are perfect for a Jersey deli. Not to mention it's only 15 minutes from me! My wife and I stopped in a few weeks back. I poured a steaming cup of holiday coffee (Christmas coffee? Can't remember the exact name), and my wife had their regular. Coffee was on point. Breakfast being my favorite meal of the day, I was very particular in ordering a taylor ham, two eggs and cheese on a round roll, with salt/pepper/ketchup. Completely typical breakfast sandwich....easy to order and came out as ordered, with a smile. The following week I called ahead and ordered 2 dozen bagels and an assortment of cream cheeses for an office meeting...everything was just as ordered, and they threw in all the utensils, plates, etc. So far they seem really easy to work with and I'd highly recommend calling them ahead of time for all your office meeting needs. All being said, it's a New Jersey deli that gets it right. The food and coffee are good, there's space in time to hang out for a while, and there are plenty of regulars. My wife wants to go back for the Sloppy Joe sandwich...we also heard they are working on some specialty sandwiches besides what's on the menu, so it might be something to ask about. read more

Absolutely blown away that a BAGEL shop runs out of BAGELS by mid-morning every weekend! This is not a one time occurrence. It's pretty much every day, including weekends. Anyone with an ounce of business knowledge would up the par so this doesn't happen. You cannot expect people to return to this business when they do not care about their customers. Don't waste your time, energy & money on this place. Hot Bagels Abroad in Hackettstown is a few extra miles & they never disappoint. Their sandwiches are also twice the size of the sandwiches at PV Bagel & Deli. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I've been here many times and the service and prices have always been horrible. The last time I went will absolutely be my last. They are located near rt 80 which makes for an easy on and off but I would rather drive to another exit or all the way into hackettstown to never have to deal with their rude customer service again. The owner is horrible, he's sooooo rude always has been. Acts like your bothering him. Plus the place is dirty and the bagels are horrible. Save your $2.25 and go to 7 eleven their bagels are better and cheaper. read more

Great place for a bagel. Always fresh, and fantastic service. The owner Danny, is so nice as are all the workers. Standard bagel joint food. I have not had lunch there but have purchased lunch meat and it is alway fresh. Small in size and not for the claustrophobic but you get a real sense of community just from walking through the doors. I highly recommend this place. read more

Following simple requests for a toasted bagel with cream cheese is like asking them to do cartwheels. Highly frustrating and slow.

The bagels and coffee are awesome. I stop by often for a quick breakfast before work. They are under new management as of the beginning of the 2015, and the staff is always friendly, efficient and helpful. read more

This place sucks, every weekend they run out of bagels by 10 am, WTF? What kind of "bagel" place runs out of bagels? Who is managing this place, obviously a nitwit. Usually if they actually have bagels left (which is a miracle), the egg sandwiches aren't bad. Today, however, I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich (on a plain bagel because there were no other bagels left), and there was 1/2 an egg and 1 piece of bacon on it. I then called them (which I never do) to let them know (out of courtesy, not to be an asshole) and some bitch who identified themself as "the owner" proceeded to argue with me. Don't go there!!! Totally worth the trip to Hackettstown to get a REAL sandwich from hot bagels. read more

If you want a bagel at 11am (still morning) don't come here. They run out of bagels every morning and if they have any left they are super stale and hard as a rock. I have given then multiple chances but every time i go in at a reasonable hour in the morning there are no more bagels. Won't be back. read more

Best bagels... Just get there early before they are gone! Try a sandwich, and some good sweet treats.

Love the Reuben sandwich! If Joey makes it.. It is phenomenal! He's always pleasant and eager to create! So glad they are there!

I've been to this BAGEL and Deli shop 4 times in the last 2 months on a Saturday morning between 9-10AM and they are out of bagels! So frustrated that they don't realize the supply and demand component of a business. You have Bagel in your name .. happy to drive another few miles to give my business to Hot Bagels Abroad! read more

Ordered an egg and cheese bagel and they messed up my order completely. Also loaded it with way to much salt.

You guys saved my life on Monday!!! Thank you so much for being so accommodating and helpful in such a short amount of time! My boss loved the bagel platter and thanks sooooo much for letting me borrow the coffee carafes!! I will be recommending you to everyone!! Delicious bagels and wonderful friendly service! If I lived in the area I would def be a regular! Thanks soooooooooooo much!!!!!!! read more

Rude staff. IF your able to get a bagel they are ok. But at 10AM a deli shouldn't be out of bagels!! Subs are nothing special. Very pricey for just ok stuff. Skip this place and go into Hackettstown. read more

I've gone here a couple of times, just for breakfast sandwiches, but I don't know why I went back. The service is ok, but the people there are not very friendly. I've also noticed that they did not wear gloves when preparing the sandwiches and they were touching the money, cash register, and other things, then touching my bagel. I was so grossed out, I don't think I'll ever go back there. I even feel sick just thinking about it. read more

Great place for a bagel or sandwich, we have been going there for several years. The quality of their bagels is first rate, and the owners and staff are friendly. Many times I'll call in our order and it's always ready as promised. One caution is on weekends or holidays call ahead or get there easily as they tend to run out of bagels! read more

I stop in about once every week for my coffee, bagels, and sandwiches. The bagels are spot on and they have awesome coffee. They also serve alabaster coffee beans which are a nice treat to take home for my French press. It's a great place and the people working there are awesome and very accommodating to me. The new owners are gem to the Panther valley mall and I'm happy to be a regular now. read more

Did not realize the deli was under new management. Have been stopping in on a regular basis for a lunch sandwich, friendly owners, good food and reasonable prices. read more

This place WAS a great breakfast place. Now it seems as though the staff and owners are more interested in themselves than the customers. My breakfast sandwich was incredibly small for the price. It seemed to be half an egg and one piece of bacon broken a couple times to take up space on the bagel. I walked in and met with a relatively young woman with many tattoos. After I said good morning to her I was met with a look of disgust as if to say what the hell do you want. Wow. I guess common courtesy and friendly greetings are a thing of the past in this place. I was very disappointed to say the least. What a let down on customer service after the last owner. To make it even better. I was sitting quietly watching the news and texting to a friend when the same young woman thought it would be a good time to stock the drink cooler next to me. It's not so pleasurable to have drink bottles slammed on the other side of your small 2 foot square table while you try to make the best of a meager sandwich. I was hoping to make the most of a bad start to the day with just 10 minutes of peace. Oh well. That idea was crushed and with not so much as an excuse me or do you mind if I use your table as a work bench. I have been in several times and was met by the same person with a surly attitude. So much for just a bad day excuse. All the days have been bad I guess. I will be sure to pass by this destination on my way to enjoy breakfast at a more pleasurable spot. The one star is for the coffee that I enjoyed in the parking lot in peace. !!! read more
