I told him a him little about myself and said i asked him about his back ground in the restaurant business When i told him how good his food was and how much i love the diner you can see the smile of a proud man. They really work hard and they have really good food. I recommend the beef stew. The beef stew is excellent beyond excellent but the other food is good and I'm gonna continue going there and try all that all the dishes. I'm very intrigued by their menu. It's not a big menu. It's not a menu that looks like a book. It's a simple menu with chef specials and I'm impressed by their knowledge and food. I love places that name their restaurant or diner after the town that they have their business and it shows they want to be part of the community and they're proud of that community and the way they act the way they are in their personality. Except for Stefanie the staff had no idea what to do. It was a hot day and place was crowded. We unfortunately had the table right by the door. People piled in on top of us. Instead of clearing tables so people could sit the staff just stared at them. The door was left open and it was so hot inside. I kept getting up to shut it when people left. After waiting 40 minutes for our food my husband didn't even get what he ordered. When telling our waitress she just said I thought it looked wrong. Waitress never came to refill drinks or ask how we were doing. Stefanie who was not our waitress helped us. Won't be back!! read more

The food came pretty quick, but service was so bad. Our waiter checked on us at the very end long after all of our waters were empty and we were done eating. We had to get up and grab salt, pepper, ketchup and hot sauce. And we also saw other patrons do the same, so this was not a one off. The atmosphere is pretty cozy, but nothing about this place (portions were okay for cost) would compel us to come back. Newly opened diner with a nice menu. We have tried it twice. Food is very good - we have enjoyed the Greek salad with chicken (large portion) & Chicken salad platter. Coffee & iced tea are good; soda options are very limited as owner is still get that set up. Service is a little sketchy hence the reason I took a star off. We walked in & saw 4 waiters/waitresses standing around while a dirty table was sitting there. When my husband ordered his coffee, waitress brought it without milk or a spoon so he had to ask. Ordering my salad was challenging; waitress did not know what it was & I had to show her the menu & when I asked for no olives, she didn't understand me until I told her 3 times to take them off & luckily my salad did not have olives. Knowing the Allamuchy Diner had been highly reviewed for their outstanding breakfasts, we chose our first visit to be an early dinner to challenge their menu. Cozy indeed, seating quite limited, so we were fortunate to get a center table. Service efficient and friendly, and the fare did not disappoint! Many times I measure the quality of the kitchen by the fries served. Shortcuts are most evident here, and again the Allamuchy Diner served up first rate Sweet Potato fries, fresh, hot, crisp on the outside, cloud-like fluffy on the inside. It would be very telling on how the rest of the casual meal would go. We opted for sandwiches, and they were carefully prepared, generous in portion, and again, fresh! First the parking was on the street not sure if there was a lot but if there was it needs a sign to state "diner parking".The service was good a very nice young lady was super.The food quality was good it tasted great no problems. The amount of food not great no sides included with our sandwich ? not good at the price point they charge. The place is small and to be honest its a breakfast lunch type of place don't go for dinner its not on a restaurant level it looks more like a deli or take out bakery. All things considered i give this place a 3 out of 5 stop here for breakfast or a bite for lunch but thats it. To improve expanding is needed or move to a new location also more food was needed sides for all items at these prices should be offered. read more

They changed their tea which is now a teabag and they changed their mugs. The service was terrible. No good morning. We got do you want drinks. No smile, nothing. When our order came, the eggs were lukewarm and bacon was soggy. No butter on toast. I had to ask for butter and when it came it was hard as a rock. We live locally and we are so excited that this place is open and that all are so nice and accomodating! We all loved our food and we brought our own wine! Had been here when it was the General Store and returned not realizing it had been recreated as a Diner. Atmosphere is the same with a general store vibe. Stayed and had the bacon cheeseburger with a side of fries extra crispy. Wife had fried egg, hash browns and bacon. Service was super friendly and the food was excellent. Great burger, perfectly cooked, fries were some of the best I have had and my wife's breakfast was very fresh tasting. Music played in the back round but we could still hear each other. The service is so slow and chaotic! We literally sat for 10 minutes no coffee, nothing!! Two tables came in after us got their coffee and then another!! It was literally ridiculous! We just up and left and we saw another table leave as well. I wish I could say that was the first time we had this experience there!
