We ordered two entrees and after another review my sister and I thought it came with the meal only for her to charge us $13.50 for this salad. I also ordered garlic knots expecting six but she brought out 12. No problem she didn't ask and maybe I didn't clarify. The penne vodka was absolutely not all it was cracked up to be. And to make matters worse our drinks were empty long before we finished eating and the lady spent about 10 mins talking to a couple at the bar not checking in on us once. We asked the counter guy for to go boxes and to clear our check. He gave us the boxes and said the lady would close the check... we only waited about 5 more minutes for their convo to wrap up. I'm beyond mad and upset that this whole experience ran me $80.

We walked into the dining room area and found a nice little restaurant with cloth tablecloths. I apologized to the owner for my appearance and she said not to worry, that I looked just fine :) We enjoyed the garlic knots first which hit the spot after those hills that we climbed. Our entrees both came with side salads and bread for the table. My daughter got the penne vodka which is her go to. She ranked it as one of her top 3 penne vodkas ever. I enjoyed my chicken parm and the bread for the table was delicious. Our server was very friendly and attentive, even though I felt not dressed right. You definitely don't have to dress up - but we were sweaty in leggings and hiking boots. But regardless they made us feel welcome and served delicious food. We will definitely go back again when we are in the area.

Just bad. I cannot come up with one redeeming quality…read more It makes me sad because I live in Clinton Township and I try very hard to support and promote local businesses but I have an obligation to be honest with the consuming public. I very rarely give a one-star rating but this was richly deserved. First things first. At an outside table, the drinking glasses were placed rim-side down. I don't care how clean you think the tables are, an outdoor table is not sanitary enough for that. There was no bread served either pre-meal or with the meal which is not an absolute must but certainly a nice thing at a predominantly Italian restaurant. We got the chicken parmesan and lasagna, two of the safest things on which you should be able to gauge the quality of a restaurant's abilities. Both were served lukewarm (barely above room temperature) with a barely melted slab of mozzarella plopped on top. The chicken in the parmesan was burnt; not overdone, burnt. It also had some gristly, cartilage bits. The lasagna had so little meat it could have passed for vegetarian. The service was pretty bad as well. I was stung by a bee (my fault for not moving when I noticed an active bee hive near our table) and when my wife went to ask the waiter to help us move tables she practically had to tap him on the shoulder as he was staring intently at his phone and didn't notice her approaching. The food was so bad we opted not to take home the pretty large portions we chose not to eat because they were so bad. Just a terrible experience on every level.
